Spoiler alert: When I read the synopsis of this book, I was ready to inbox Sherelle for messing with my favorite couple. I buy all her stuff anyway but I one-clicked with an attitude this time around because I wanted to see what she did to my people. I’m so glad I took the time because this couldn’t have been any more Meeka and Tone and how their crazy selves would move forward in their journey. I laughed out loud like I always do when Meeka is involved but I also got a bit misty eyed because I was able to see the vulnerable side of Meeka that wasn’t easily seen before. sherriff and Tone are made for each other. Now Layla.....SMH
I'm just going to say this first. I love, love, love Meeka with her ratchet self.😂😂😂 It was good to re-visit Tone and Meeka. It was also a total surprise when I first started reading the book to find out Tone and Meeka's relationship status and the reason for it. Despite the love that they have for each other, Meeka moves out and leaves town for a job opportunity. As always, true love prevails and truths are revealed. I think Ms. Green has another most hated villain in DeAndre. It was also good to read about some of the characters from the previous books. All and all, this book was a great book that I thoroughly enjoyed it especially those steamy love scenes. Kayla and Ares' book is next in this series and I can't wait to see what mischief they get into.
Roses are red. Violets are blue. I loved this story and you will too!
Mannnnnnnn listen I went in reading this book with an “Alexa, play Broken-hearted by Brandy” frame of mind because my lil feelings were hurt knowing my girl Meek had lost her boo. Whole time while I was reading I was hoping for the breakup to make sense and a reconciliation to happen but them breakup rules WEREN’T letting up. 🙄😪 But in the end my girl got her guy and most important I’m this much👌🏾closer to getting the stories I’ve been wishing for!🗣THE #GreekGawds ARE COMING!!!!! Now I am in my “Alexa, play A Lovely Day by Bill Withers bag. Sherelle Green did the #damnthang with this novella!
...and the author proved this point by making this a novella.
Something told me when it was first mentioned, that Meeka got caught up with that clown from the Foot Locker. The way Meeka's character is written, I wasn't EVEN surprised because she is TRULY touched. Chick was worried about obtaining a video when she should've been calling the damn police and an attorney. Smh.
I thought this was the end of this series, but apparently...it's not. I might read the next story when it releases, but then again, one can only take but so much of those ratchet rhymes. I give this one 2.5 stars.
I must say you know when a writer has a gift and Ms. Greene is that one! The minute this story started I knew something was wrong and Meeks and Tone were couple goals that couldn’t be shattered. These friends, lovers, and life partners were a joy to see their future develop and transcend 🥰. I truly enjoyed this page turner and can’t wait to see what’s next with this group of friends.
This was a good read. I hated they broke up and when I read who and why I really scratched my head hard. I kept saying unh unh no way. As the story progressed you could tell the love was still good. How do you forgive and move passed the hurt? Reconciliation. Then the bombs started dropping and I was floored. Healing and time and love. I fell the hell out when she clowned that dude at the jazz club!!!! Now on to Layla and jail!
When I first saw this was a story about Meeka and Tone I was in my feelings like no they can't break up. They are one of my favorite couples and I love me some Meeka and her ratchet rhymes. Always hilarious. In the end I was not disappointed and I enjoyed reading about their journey once again. Very well written.
I throughly enjoyed this book! Meeka is still Meeka and Tone is still trying to keep up with her crazy ass. When hit with betrayal love prevailed. So glad we got to revisit this couple, they are definitely a favorite. Still Single AF is definitely worth the read!
Meeka and Tone were never the status quo, so to see a follow-up story was a surprise. The subject matter touch in this second chance unconventional romance was unique and layered. Without giving a spoiler it was tough pill to swallow in 8 chapters all what would transpire and be uncovered about Meeka
I enjoyed Meeka and Tone. Their connection was other worldly even in the midst of perceived heartbreaking behavior. Their friends were supportive and encouraging, we all need a circle like that. What I loved most was even when things weren't optimal, they didn't drag or bash each other. Cute, solid story.
Where do I begin?! I love me some Meeka and Tone!! Ms. Green I definitely enjoyed this surprise!! As always Meeka keeps you entertained. Can’t wait to read about Layla and Ares!
I'm convinced that Sherelle is or could have been a rapper because Meeka's ratchet rhymes are always on point! I was happy to indulge in one of my favorite characters! This book.was entertaining!
This was such a good quick read....It didn’t miss a beat the story and characters were well developed and it didn’t feel rushed.....I was mad sad happy then pissed in a matter of 40 minutes....now I’m ready for Layla
I enjoyed reading this book! I felt Meeka and Tone had a lot of chemistry and a few unanswered questions that were finally come to lite! I feel people will enjoy reading this book and I definitely recommend this book/series!
That DeAndre , I wanted to knock his behind out. All that mess because Meeka blasted him out, I knew something was not right cause there was no way she would cheat on Tone. Glad they got to the bottom of everything. Great Reading
