An intense, unputdownable read from the mind of bestselling author, Jade Jones!Love is just a game to Tremaine Hardy, aka Mane, who plays his way through the city of Chicago, leaving a trail of broken hearts behind him wherever he goes. A master manipulator with a gorgeous face that could fool any woman, he’s a stranger to heartbreak himself. When his last woman swore that he would someday meet someone ten times worse than him who would give him a taste of the heartbreak he dealt out so regularly, Mane only laughed. However, when he meets the ravishing and mysterious Inari, he finds out that his ex just might have been right. He falls hard for Inari, but as fate would have it, her devilish beauty and lustful appetites are too much for any mortal man to handle.

Jade Jones discovered her passion for creative writing in elementary school. Born in 1989, she began writing short stories and poetry as an outlet. Later on, as a teen, she led a troubled life which later resulted in her becoming a ward of the court. Jade fell in love with the art and used storytelling as a means of venting during her tumultuous times.

Aging out of the system two years later, she was thrust into the dismal world of homelessness. Desperate, and with limited income, Jade began dancing full time at the tender age of eighteen. It wasn't until Fall of 2008 when she finally caught her break after being accepted into Cleveland State University. There, Jade lived on campus and majored in Film and Television. Now, six years later, she flourishes from her childhood dream of becoming a bestselling author. Since then she has written the best-selling "Cameron" series.

Quite suitably, she uses her life's experiences to create captivating characters and story lines. Jade currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. With no children, she spends her leisure shopping and traveling. She says that seeing new faces, meeting new people, and experiencing diverse cultures fuels her creativity. The stories are generated in her heart, the craft is practiced in her mind, and she expresses her passion through ink.

Tremaine Hardy is the ultimate fuck boy. Living his best life using women for all that he could get out of them. "The third rule of Fuckboy-ism was to appear to be an object of desire. That was how I trapped most of my women; with lies. By the time the truth finally came out, the women would be too far gone to care that I was broke." With a few women at his beck and call, Tremaine is content with his life. That is until he meets Inari.

Inari isn't your typical woman. Actually, she isn't a woman. She's a succubus. In layman's terms, she's a sex demon. "Succubus drained sleeping men of their energy while showing them all of their wants and desires in dreams." Inari is on earth for one thing and one thing only, to procreate with a human male to help populate her species. But Mane throws a monkey wrench in her plan, making her reconsider everything. "Because... in the beginning, you seemed like the perfect victim. You were selfish, self-centered, unsympathetic, and desperate for money and fame. But that was before I got to know the real you. The person I know now is kind, humane, and soft-hearted."

This was a different kind of read for me. Sort of a paranormal love story, but it did still have the aspects of an urban read. The author throws in jealous friends, some humor and even a plot twist, making the read interesting without feeling like you're reading a straight sci-fi book. The tail and the wings took some getting used to, but it made the story that much more interesting to read. It took a while for the story to get going, but once it did, I was all in. Can't wait to read more of this author's paranormal work.

I have never been so pissed off in a first chapter until I came across a character like Tremaine "Mane" Hardy. Tremaine is a self-proclaimed fuck boy that uses his good looks, charm and gift, and palmistry to use women. Working as a low-paid cook in an upscale restaurant, Mane dreams of opening his own restaurant until he gets there, the women he deals with breaks him off with money and whatever his heart desires.

At first, I tried giving Mane the benefit of the doubt, thinking he didn’t know any better because of how he was raised, but no! At some point in his life, he should’ve knew that was not how a man…a grown man should act and the way he spoke to Lavish had my eye twitching. I was so disappointed in Lavish for letting Mane treat her the way he did. I'm like baby girl you are doing 1000% better than him...STAND UP!!!

Lavish is lash tech with her own lash business. She’s one of the best in Chicago. Lavish knows she can do better than Mane but I guess his dick game got her thinking slow. Idk. But when she sees him in the club all close to Inari, shit hit the fan!

Unknown to Mane, Inari is a succubus or sex demon , she invades the dreams of men, depleting them of their life source eventually killing them. She’s on earth with a mission and Mane is the perfect victim in her eyes to accomplish it. The way she had Mane acting had me cackling because myyyyyy how have the tables have turned. She had oh boy acting real different; going against his own rules.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. It has multiple storylines outside of the main characters and a lot of drama that will have you shaking your head. It does end on a cliffhanger but that’s okay because book 2 is already out.

Very interesting book. It was a bit different but I liked it. I hate that once Mane started getting his self together, it all went downhill. Guys Like Dizzy are the worst. But overall a good book. Can’t wait to see what happens with Inari and TJ in book 2.

Inari was quite a character as her abilities were out of this world, literally. Good supportive cast as storyline held my attention to see how this book would end. Looking forward to reading the new installment when it drops.

Okay, so this could have been a 4 star read if the succubus/incubus procreation lore given made sense. Wouldn't one of the two parties contributing genetic material for a baby need to be a sex demon if you're trying to make more sex demons? Something about the process of succubi stealing human male ejaculate to then hand off to an incubus, who then goes and somehow impregnates a female human with said sperm to create a sex demon baby, just ain't adding up for me. Inari revealed this process at least twice in the story and it still has me confused because the main reason she came into the human realm was to con a man out of his sperm so she can help her race survive due to the low sex demon birth rates they're experiencing.

The way the story twisted and turned, interconnecting all of the characters was brilliant weave though. And those truth bombs sprinkled around the high tension moments were shocking. While the ending for Mane and Inari was somewhat expected, the how certainly wasn't but it was still on brand for this book by being both satisfying and emotionally damaging.

Now Mane was a f*ck boy who knew exactly who and what he was and moved accordingly. He left enough sexually satisfied but broken hearts and lowered bank accounts in his past to prove it. His entire relationships with Diamond and Lavish were truly the evidence needed to understand his narcissistic entitled behaviours.

However, Inari broke him out of that mentality real quick and that was even without the added influence of her demon abilities. Multiple people said he was self serving and focused only on himself, but his relationship with his mom and Chip said he at least cared and valued about 2 other people. And through his obsession with Inari, even when she wasn't around to continue charming him, showed that Mane has fallen hard and fast. It's like Inari's arrival in his life, coupled with her gifting him the money to fund his restaurant dream, instantly turned Mane into a responsible functioning adult male. And he intentionally worked towards being a true partner to her, even with all the secrets on her end and the glaring red flags.

"Succubus" by Jade Jones

My Opinion:

I believe this author really did it this time. This was some good reading. I found the characters well-developed and so enjoyable. Definitely, Manes and Inari were made for each other putting in all the hot and steamy romance. The story started somewhat slow, but about halfway through the story, it picked up, giving the reader quite a read. I even had thoughts different when we got to the end about Mane definitely seeing him in a different light.

This was intriguing in how this succubus-demon with devil horns, wings, red eyes, and a killing tail [Inari] falls for Tremaine Hardy, aka Mane, and what all she would do to make that happen? I was glad to see that some of these people got what was coming to them. I don't want to tell too much of the story other than saying you will have to pick this fantastic fantasy read to see how it comes out. It will be worth the read all the way to the end. This author did an excellent job with this story.

This was a different genre that I've read from this author. It was very interesting to read something different and a page turner it was. I loved Mane's character and thought he was self-centered from the beginning until he met someone new to change how he acted. I thought Mane would be able to see that Inari was different in a sense. Although he had another ability it was not the same. I read paranormal books before and this was a different one with a succubus and what they did. If you are interested in paranormal books then you may want to give this book a read.

Page turned for sure

This book deserves ten stars. I didn't like Mane at first but my heart soften after he got with Inari. I was really hoping for the best with them. And poor chip didn't deserve what happened to him. When they was telling lavish about her weight gain I already knew what that was. The ending has me wanting more. Overall great read as always. Reviewed by Quan Davis

Another 5 star read

I LOVE paranormal stories and this has become my new favorite. The Story makes you want to know what happened next. Like, carrying your book or tablet to the kitchen so you don't miss what's next type of story. The characters really draw you in. If you are a visual person like me, you can picture everything that is being said. You can see and feel every emotion. If you love paranormal books, this is definitely worth reading!

This book was amazing and a little different from other fantasy novels I've read. Yet, I love it! I have recently heard of Jade Jones, and this is my fifth book by her this year so far. She never failed to disappoint.

I could visualize the scenes by the words, emotions, and actions of the characters. They are all so different and felt bad that most of them had what happened to them.
I'm looking forward to a Part 2 to see what will happened as for Lavish and Inari. Great work, Jade Jones!

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️

Great book, Jade you did that👌🏽💪🏽. Mane really did love Inari even though she was a demon from another world. To bad Diamond had to go out the way that she did, she clearly was not a good friend to Lavish for sleeping with Quincy. And for Dizzy he was just low down and deserved what happened to him. Overall this book is great and it deserves ten stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯🔥

This book had a hard time keeping my attention. Inari being one of the main characters didn’t really show until the second half of the book. And the ending... wasn’t to crazy about it. What’s up with Inari taking TJ? I know she loved Tremaine Sr. but what is she going to do with him? This is a standalone story so the reader is basically left with wondering what’s going to happen or why did it happen.

Not your average read!

I fell in love with this book. The characters are all different and amazing. Inari and Manes romance was unexpected and steamy. Halfway through the book, I was like how will it end? The ending was so unexpected and I loved the fact that there is the small possibility of a sequel book. Jade Jones has done it again y’all!!!

Satisfied Reader

Not my average read but i enjoyed it. Mane was a good man with great intentions. I loved his character but hate the way things ended. Dizzy was grimey and greed was his best friend. Keon was just a flunky. Lavish i still got my eye on her. I semi don't like her. Inari loved Mane and i wish things would've turned out differently. What will she do with Tj

BABY If I could give this book 10 stars I would. I couldn’t put it down. I love how the author intertwined all of the characters while keeping them separate with their own story. I so wanna tell the story, but I hate spoilers so Imma stop right here. GREAT READ!!! You will NOT be disappointed.

Things that make you go hmmm...

Inara may have been then the succubus but she wasn't the only demon in this book! I wasn't expecting the ending. Does that mean that Maine was an Incubus?

🤔

I'm not so crazy about the ending, like why was TJ taken and was he taken by Inari or Mane? This book is a standalone but left me with lots of questions.
