And Gabe isn't taking it well. With a baby on the way, they have to figure out how to make their marriage work, but after all the lies, the trust is gone. Can Gabe find it in his heart to forgive her, or will their brand new marriage crumble before it even gets off the ground?
Meanwhile, the Sullivan sisters are trying to pick up the pieces after Pop's death. Stephanie passes off the veterinary clinic to her son, Todd, so she can grieve. Cee-cee tries to be strong, but she's unraveling at the seams. And Anna? She just wants to run away and forget for awhile. But all bets are off when a stranger comes to Bluebird Bay and changes everything...
Holly jolly! I didn't see it coming, really a bombshell of turns and twists. "Finding Forgiveness" is now my favorite book in this series. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this story. Even though it was focused on Sasha and Gabe trying to find a way to fix their marriage, we get to see a lot of Sullivan sisters Cee-cee, Stephanie and Anna and family along with other dear friends from the beautiful small town Bluebird Bay. It was an emotional and heartstrings pulling read! Beautifully written story line with lots of fun, laughter, tears and some drama but mostly love and strong sisterly bond. Can't forget to mention all that delicious food, fantastic cupcakes and desserts that makes you crave to taste all of them. Yummm! Now, that ending keeps me on the hook strongly I can't wait for next book to Finding Acceptance!
This is the weakest book of the series. I was very disappointed. I thought the whole not telling your husband about being pregnant before a wedding was a ridiculous reason to stay mad for months--especially since it was his baby. The drama over Ann's half sister Nikki showing up was kind of over the top also.
2 1/2 stars. Maybe it’s just me but I found it absolutely ridiculous that an entire family would be so upset by Sasha not telling Gabe she was pregnant before their wedding. Good grief.
Okay first I'm here to apologize for my last review on the last book in this series. I didn't think there was much to say about a lie of omission. Wow, was I wrong. A lot said, and even mods done than I would have imagined. Now to wait for the rest of the story, which I also don't like to do. LOL
Whew. This is an emotional whirlwind of epic proportions. Maybe it was me but I felt the angst, the love, just everything. Christine Gael really takes you on the ride that you never knew you needed.
I'm reading the series, so I guess I can't complain too much.
But a little, maybe?
I don't know who aggravated me more: Sasha, who actually thought her long-term boyfriend/fiance (four years!!) would walk away days before their wedding, or Gabe, who took months to "forgive and trust" her.
Or Max, who in the previous book had found "the one" in Tyler, but a couple months after he left was madly in love with Ian. With her track record, she'd do well to leave her brother's marriage alone.
Basically a not unenjoyable read, and very short books. Great if you're in a reading slump and just want some fluff.
Finding Forgiveness is a truly heartwarming story written by Denise Grover Swank and Christine Gael. This story takes us back to the lives of the Sullivan sisters and their families. I have enjoyed getting to know all the characters in this series, Bluebird Bay. This story revolves around Sasha and Gabe Sullivan and a secret that could destroy their marriage. Of course you can't have a secret and expect it to stay that way so when it finally leaks out will it change the feeling between family members forever? In another part of this book the youngest Sullivan sister Anna gets the shock of a lifetime and how she deals with it. The authors have done a fantastic job telling their story thru such amazing characters. I highly recommend this book and series but make sure you start with book one and read them in order so you can get the full story behind the characters.
I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable response and all opinions are my own. I have rated this story with five stars.
I’m late to the Bluebird Bay party, but the skill with which Christine Gael and Denise Grover Swank write made it as though I was reading the first book if the series rather than the fifth. In other words, I felt right at home with every character, and the authors made sure that we quickly get caught up with their respective pasts while we read their presents. So much so that I found myself laughing, smiling, and even crying, as I got immersed into the pages.
So even if, like me, you have never read a book of the series, treat yourselves; not only won’t you be lost for even a second, but you will fall for Bluebird Bay, the Sullivan sisters, and their families.
And might want to know what comes before this one, as well as look forward to what will happen to them all.
Evidently I am not supposed to be reading the Bluebird Bay series. I am a man and looking through the reviews of all the books, I could only find one other review from a man, and he panned them. Nevertheless, the Sullivan sisters have captivated me and I am zooming through all the books like an express train, can't put them down. I realize they are sort of soap-opera-ish, and I don't watch soap operas, but I like the stories of strong women overcoming difficulties in their lives, finding fulfilling careers, and ultimately finding a mate who is supportive and kind. It is light, frothy entertainment, sometimes obvious, yet sometimes with a surprising twist, as with the appearance of Nikki in this book. Only two more books in this series, then I can go back to reading stuff guys are supposed to read. :-) I give all the books four stars because they are not great literature, but they are great entertainment.
I am really enjoying this series and look forward to reading each book. Each story brings you right into the Sullivan family and their relationships and life in Bluebird Bay, Maine. This was primarily Gabe and Sasha's story, and it was very touching. If you have read any of the books in the Bluebird Bay series you already know that so much goes on with the other characters. You get to revisit all your favorite characters and take another peak into their adventures and trials. I have cried with them and laughed with them. I definitely recommend the entire series, they are so heartwarming! They are quite simply a great read!

Trust and honesty are a big part of love. What happens when you have neither? Finding your new wife kept a big secret can cause problems. For the newlyweds, it might be more than their love can handle. It isn't just the two of them anymore.
While they struggle the family is recovering from the death of the patriarch but there are more surprises to come.
The reader will ride the bumper cars of life knocking them off the paths of success. The reader will share their joy, loves, professional successes, and the pain of loss and life-changing secrets.
The reader can be assured there are more surprises and emotions in the future at Bluebird Bay.
Another great book in the Blueberry Bird series. I love how this series continues to draw you in and keeps you hanging on anxiously for the next book. This book helps settle the questions in Sasha / Gabe's marriage and allowed readers a chance to catch up with the Sullivan sisters and their families. This book along with this series manages to keep me on my toes and continues to shock me. I will admit I did not see that shocker coming. I will not reveal any spoilers but I cannot wait to see how this drama will unfold. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wow quite a few bombs went off in this book. Finally Sasha's pregnancy is out of the bag. Then we have a newbie at the diner. Max and Ian are doing quite well and the escape rooms are finally open now. The bakery is doing quite well and boy do those flavors sound amazing. I am glad to see that there is another book in the series. I had read the first book and had forgotten about this series. Thank god for newsletters that I saw the other books in the series. I really enjoyed these sisters and I can't wait to see what happens in the next book.
I was really annoyed with Gabe and them, here is his pregnant wife who didn’t know how to break the news to him and he’s acting as if she sold the US to Russia and doesn’t talk to her for two months. What kind of jerk does that? Same wit CeeCee and Max, have some compassion already! The girl has is brimming with hormones and has nobody to turn to! It really tugged at my heart strings. In any case, enjoy the book.
Gael and Swank have done it again! This installment is exactly what the series needed! Still, it giving spoilers but, I have no problems telling you there is plenty to keep you riveted and enthralled and then it set you up perfectly for the new one coming. I for one, though impatient am waiting on tenterhooks for the next installment. I hope this helps!
Enjoyed this visit with the characters from Bluebird Bay. This story was told from multiple character POV which allows the reader to connect more with the characters. This story proves that families are both beautiful and difficult. As the title suggests, forgiveness is a central theme and while some characters find forgiveness, others are grappling with secrets that are revealed. The next Bluebird Bay installment promises to be intriguing and I look forward to my next visit.
The characters are real. The story touches on trust and its fragility and offers hope to all of us. I felt as though I knew these people. The layers of suspense had you forging quickly through the book to unravel the innuendos that were presented. This story had it all and definitely left you wanting more. I can’t wait until the next instalment of Bluebird Bay.

Can't put this down!! So excited to read "Finding Forgiveness". As I began reading I thought this was Sasha and Gabe's story which it was...but I never saw the surprising discovery for Anna and her sisters. Such an interesting story ending. I cannot wait to see what happens and how Christine Gael weaves Anna's story together in "Finding Acceptance" coming out in April. I liked this book, a continuation of the Bluebird Bay characters with focus on Sasha and Gabe. The premise is a little exaggerated, with Gabe a bit too upset about Sasha hiding her pregnancy from him for two months. It’s still his kid, so a little ridiculous. And why these people don’t go to a therapist when things gets this bad. They finally do but months later. It was still a good book. The authors put in more than one story line, so there is more than enough to keep you interested.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Each of the Sullivan sisters has weathered a storm in the past few years. NIW that things are starting to settle down, trouble flares for Cee Cee's son Gabe and his wife Sasha. And when a new cook comes to town, it means throwing Anna's new found for a loop.
I love getting back to Bluebird Bay & the Sullivan family. They’re like old friends you’re catching up with. This book did not disappoint- do Sasha & Gabe find their way back to each other? And there’s someone new in town with a big secret! I can’t wait to see how this will unfold in the next book.
Great story of Gabe and Sasha finding forgiveness. Sasha had gotten pregnant before they had married. She didn’t let Gabe know until they were married. He was very upset about this because hushed kept it a secret and didn’t trust him. Finding forgiveness is about Sasha and Gabe solving their issues. You will enjoy this story.
Finding forgiveness is a little bit of a tearjerker.
Finding forgiveness is a little bit of a tearjerker and had me wanting to read more. I was rapped in the Sullivan family’s affairs and always hoping things turned out ok for each and every one of them. I can’t wait to read the next book Finding Acceptance and find out what happens next.
Loved all the jabs of shock thrown in there. There were a couple things I didn’t see coming and I really love that about these books. Always something interesting happens in them and the cliff hangers are killer. Can’t wait till the next book
Really like all the characters and when you think you can guess what’s happening a little something changes. I have enjoyed this series and am looking forward to the next book
,I was so into t his series. Great characters that I don't think ill forget, this series was so great at portraying everyday life with real situations that a lot of us experience. Great but not over whelming
Gabe and Sasha are struggling and things only get worse when Max is made aware of the situation. Anna and Beckett travel to Hawaii and while they are away Cece and Stephanie discover a secret about their mother that will impact Anna.
This book continues to be excellent. It is a fast moving story , keeping the reader interested. The author does a great job keeping all of the characters in the series connected. I am excited for the authors next book!
Once again I couldn’t put this new book in the series down. There are some new characters introduced, so of course I can’t wait to see what that will be turned into.
