Ethan and Emma. She’s mid-twenties and still lives with her mom. Her best friend, Sophia, was supposed to get married in Vegas but they called it off. So the two girls go to Vegas instead. Ethan is told his plane is in need of repair, like someone tampered with it. He fly’s, commercial to Vegas to meet his partner to fly back to New York in his partner’s plane. Emma and Ethan meet in the terminal when she spills coffee on his shoes and just when he’s about to say something they both look at each other and are struck dumb. He nods and walks away. What just happened? They meet again at the baggage carousel and he almost hits her with his bag. He smiles says sorry and walks away after Sophia yells at him. He, his partner Jared, Emma and her friend Sophie are staying at the same motel in Vegas. They sit at the slots and Sophia drinks and literally falls into Jared’s arms. Emma bends to retrieve a coin on the floor at the same time as Ethan. They finally introduce themselves. They go to the slots to gamble the coin together and pull on three. JACKPOT and alarms sound. He gives his winnings to her. They take the celebration to his room. They talk afterwards about their shared bike hobby and get interrupted by Jared with a very drunk Sophia. Emma dresses and leaves to take care of her. As she’s looking after Sophia she reads the biker magazine from the plane and sees the article about Ethan and wonders if he really is like that. Next morning she goes to leave a message for Ethan but doesn’t know his last name and is told they checked out. A year later She, Sophia and Emily move into an apartment in Los Angeles. She starts a new job the next morning. In the meantime Jared is still having problems with his company and plane and peanuts, that he is allergic to, keep appearing around him which makes him even more paranoid. And he keeps thinking about his one night stand in Vegas, Emma. Now he thinks there’s a mole in his company. Emma’s having a problem her first day because she has to keep leaving the office to pump her breast milk. She didn’t tell them she had a baby. She goes to another floor bathroom to pump because of the noise. Ethan is talking to Sven a member of his MC and bumps into a woman dropping his phone. Emma is coming out of the bathroom and dropping her purse spilling the breast pump and when she stands and turns to go she bumps into a man making him drop his phone. She thinks here’s Emily’s father and should I tell him and he’s upset that his call is gone. He has to call Sven back turns and walks away. She finds out he owns the company and she’s having second thoughts about working there. Ethan is wondering why she is working at his company, who hired her, what does she want. Once over the paranoid he wants her as his assistant. His talk with Sven went wrong. Emma’s having second thoughts about Ethan seeing how he’s paying her for a job and escorting him to events and his keeping things simple and uncomplicated. Anything else he muses would be far too complicated. He meets with the mayor, who wants his company out of town. After getting to the office Carla gives Emma the hostile cold shoulder. Ethan enters Jared’s office and he’s on the phone and speaking to someone like he owes them a favor and he doesn’t notice Ethan yet. Jared is being evasive and abrupt with him making him suspicious. He’s hiding something. Ethan picks that time to walk out of Jared’s office as Carla is hugging Marc. Tense situation. Carla is still being waspish to Emma. Emma wonders what has she got herself into. She turns down his invite to drive her home and he wonders what she hiding from him. She finally tells him the reason she has to always leave, is because of Sophia’s baby she’s helping with when Sophia goes to work. OMG. Dig deeper. Jared it seems makes a lot of trips to Vegas and is against Ethan running for Mayor. Hummm. Emma meets Sophia in an Ally by the office so she can breast feed Emily and talking about Carla and low and behold who happens to appear and hears. AND SEES. What was she doing there anyway. When Emma goes to get her fob to go to the 56th floor to explain to Ethan she bumps into Jared at the elevator and hes with the Mayor. What? The mayor informs her that Ethan’s biker gang ruffed up his assistant. Emma gets to his office and tells him about Jared and the mayor and Ethan finally sees, its Jared. Marc didn’t betray him. Jared comes into the office and Ethan strikes him and Emma is crying saying she didn’t want to tell him because of that reaction. He wants to explain and he’s getting text messages upon messages. He then turns to her and she says explain and he says shouldn’t you be explaining and shows her the pictures of her breast feeding and he yells asking about the baby and other children and husband. She just lets it all out about Emily and he says leave he doesn’t want to see her right now. And Carla is waiting for her with more insults. Now she wondering what game was he playing with her. Emma, Sophia and Emily go back to New York and she’s thinking Emily’s father is the head of a biker gang and assaults people and was involved with both secretaries at the same time. Her mom welcomes her back with Sophia and Emily. Ethan is reflecting and acknowledges that he gave her reason to not trust him. He’s done reflecting its time to make the right decisions. Emma has a scare with Emily. Back in LA Ethan try’s to call Emma and her number is no longer in service then he decides to drive to her apartment. She’s gone and he may never see her again. Then he sees a picture of them at the casino holding the money and form, the form they had to fill out with her address. Then Jared comes back into the office and tries to explain the betrayal and boy what a mess. He and Jared are on a flight to New York. Jared is acting funny. When they land he gets in one cab and Jared gets into another and as he’s leaving he thinks he sees Jared get out of the cab and just as he’s calling Jared his phone rings and its Carla and the call is choppy and she trying to tell him something about Jared Mayor blackmailed gangs and he hangs up on her. He arrives at Emma’s mother’s apartment and Emma is gone and now he has to convince her mother he loves Emma. While Emma and Sophia are trying to scan their free tickets to the winner club at Vegas security says it’s a scam to get them out of the apartment so it can be robbed. Jared calls Ethan and tells him a cab is waiting that he needs him immediately and it will bring him to Jared only Ethan doesn’t go. Then the robbers attack them and Ethan saves them and unmasks one of the guys. OMG what a scam. Emma gets back to the apartment as the police leave with the robber, OMG is that… Emma sees Ethan and is leary of his motives and Emma’s tuff mother is taking up for Ethan. I know my review is long but it doesn’t really give you any spoiler but it does give you the urge to read and find out what’s really going on. There are so many secrets, lies, misdirection’s, misunderstandings, betrayal, and mis-trusts. I can’t tell you how good a read this is. The author did a fantastic job at misdirection and keeping you on the edge wondering who it is and what’s the motive until the very end and it all comes together and you go oh yeah.

Kein Safer Sex, nicht mal annähernd. Gut, das hätte mir gleich nach dem Klappentext klar sein sollen, aber trotzdem verstehe ich nicht wie eine Frau mit einem Typen in die Kiste hüpft und danach nicht eine Sekunde daran denkt, dass sie vielleicht schwanger sein könnte und dann auch noch geschockt deswegen ist. Halloooo?? Kinder fallen nicht vom Himmel!!
Und auch später, wenn sie wieder miteinander in die Kiste hüpfen, denkt keiner an ungewollte Schwangerschaft.
Ok, am Ende des Buches wird dann erklärt, warum es keine Kondome in dem Buch gibt: Weil alles nur in unserem Kopf stattfindet und in dieser heilen Buchwelt keine Geschlechtskrankheiten existieren. What? Wie gesagt, an ungewollte Schwangerschaft denkt aber keiner.
Ahja, und das Ende war irgendwie absurd. Aber da wollte man unbedingt nochmals bissl Action und Kriminalität reinpacken.
Sorry, aber diese Serie und auch diese Autorin (auch ihre anderen Serien stoßen mich mehr ab als sie mich interessieren) sind nicht mein Geschmack. Vielleicht bin ich aber auch über diese sexy-Millionär-Geschichten hinweg und hab mich daran überlesen bzw. überhört *lol*

Ein wundervolles Buch hat die Autorin geschaffen. Das Cover ist toll und passt super zum Buch. In der Geschichte geht es um Sophia und Jacob. Worum es im Buch geht könnt ihr im Klapptext nachlesen. Jacob und Sophia sind zwei wundervolle Charaktere. Beide habe ich sofort gemocht. Ich habe mit den beiden mitgefiebert und mitgelitten. In dem Buch trifft man alte und neue Charaktere aus vorherigen Büchern. Ich freue mich immer, wenn man Charaktere aus alten Büchern trifft. Das Buch hat alles was man sich für ein gutes Buch wünscht. Der Schreibstil der Autorin ist absolut fesselnd und mitreißend. Ich kann das Buch nur weiterempfehlen. ❤️❤️❤️

Was soll ich sagen, die Story ist mal wieder einmalig, unglaublich und mega schön geschrieben. Das Cover ist man wieder einmalig, so wie die anderen der Autorin.
Emma und Ethan was für ein Paar, unterschiedlicher hätte es nicht sein können. Emma fliegt mit ihrer Freundin Sophia nach Vegas. Ihre Freundin hat ihre Hochzeit abgesagt und will mit Emma ein Mädelstripp nach Vegas machen, was eigentlich als ihre Hochzeitsreise geplant war. Dort treffen sie eher zufällig auf Ethan der dort strandete, weil sein Flugzeug defekt ist. Sein Firmen Partner Jared überredet ihn nach Vegas zu kommen und am nächsten Tag gemeinsam wieder zurück zufliegen. Wie es der Zufall will begegnen sie sich dort und was soll ich sagen, Emma und Ethan gewinnen tatsächlich den Jackpot. Naja, das ganze endet dann auch im Bett, wo auch sonst ;-) Was beide dabei aber ganz außer Acht lassen, ist das sie sich im Grunde gar nicht kennen. Am nächsten Tag ist er weg und sie weiß nur seinen Vornamen. Tja und Emma nimmt einen Job in New York ein Jahr später an und trifft dort mehr zufällig in der Firma Ethan wieder. Was Ethan bis dahin nicht weiß, das die Nacht in Vegas auch folgen hatte in Form von der süßen Emily. Wie sie es ihm sagt und ob sie es tut, solltet ihr selber heraus finden. Die Story der beiden ist der Hammer und auch nicht ohne, Welche Rolle Jared da ein nimmt ist echt erschreckend. Ethan und auch Emma haben beide eine Vergangenheit, nur in wie fern sie das überwinden und auch zu einander finden ist ein langer und auch schwere weg. Die Story ist gefüllt mit Liebe, Vertrauen, Misstrauen, Mut, Zweifel, Freude, Macht, Hass, Sorgen, Erotik und mit einigem mehr gespickt.
Wie war das doch mit dem Spruch: „Was in Las Vegas passiert, bleibt in Las Vegas“ tja das trifft hier nicht ganz zu, manchmal kommt ein Stück Las Vegas doch mit einem mit.
Die Story ist mega schön und bekommt eine ganz klare Leseempfehlung von mir und ich freu mich mehr von Rebecca Baker lesen zu dürfen. Jedes Buch von ihr ist einfach gigantisch.

I really did not get on with this book. Eek I have no idea how it got such a high star rating. The writing is mediocre at best but the biggest problem I have is the main characters. The MFC is an accountant. You would imagine that she might be sensible and practical, or even just slightly switched on. Unfortunately she is immature and really ditzy. She wins a jackpot at the casino and spends it frivolously then goes in a huff with her mum when her mum questions her spending. She also is always surprised at how much everything costs. Accountant! The MMC is awful, rude and quite frankly mean. Yet the MFC is still giddy around him. Yes giddy and dizzy and generally an airhead. I stopped reading at 40% as I just could not stand Emma. Too immature, too selfish and too silly. I couldn’t see any way that I could become invested in the characters. Don’t think I will try anymore by this author

Ich liebe das Cover. Das Cover passt perfekt zum Buch. Ich liebe das Buch. Die Autorin hat ein wundervolles Buch erschaffen. Ich habe Emma und Ethan von Anfang an ins Herz geschlossen. Ich mag die beiden sehr. Ich habe die komplette Geschichte mit den beiden mitgefiebert. Sophia fand ich auch sehr sympathisch. Zum Inhalt verweise ich auf den Klapptext. Im Klapptext findet man alle wichtigen Informationen zum Buch. Die Geschichte wird aus der Sicht von Emma und Ethan erzählt. Ich finde es toll, dass das Buch aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven erzählt wird, da man sich so super in die Charaktere hineinversetzen kann. Ich konnte das Buch nicht aus der Hand legen. Ich war so gefesselt von der Geschichte. Das Buch hat wirklich alles, was man sich bei einem guten Buch wünscht. Die Autorin hat einen tollen Schreibstil. Well this has mixed reviews but for me I found it dreary and thought it a badly plotted format, the characters don’t gel at all there wasn’t a natural flow to the story it was very disjointed,
I still don’t understand why Jared the business partner plotted with the mayor tried to run the company out of LA?
I meen Jared was a partner so it was costing him money with what they were doing so for what gain?
The mayor and Jared were doing robberies also again it made no sense ?
Damaging the private jet could have caused deaths again why was this being done!!!
It just didn’t make any sense
I really didn’t enjoy this but persevered to the end.

I really tried to like this and I think the concept was good, it just wasn't written where it played out well for me.
I made it to ch 19 before I skipped to the last five chapters. It had very little dialogue between the characters and more description of what the narrative character was seeing or thinking. It became monotonous and boring for me. Even the end was the same and was glad I missed all the drama in between which apparently didn't seem to be needed when the MFC got the explanation from the MMC on why things went the way they did. Seemed she gave in way to quickly for what little he said and that is when he finds out the baby is his....what?!

Ending Was Redeeming!
This is not as bad as most of the reviews but it is silly. The graphic, descriptive sex is pretty bad. The plot is simplistic. The characters are not well developed and are unlikeable for most if the book.
For me, the ending was the only redeeming thing about the book. The main characters redeemed themselves and the bad guys got what they deserved. Baby Emily was delightful the entire time.

Outstanding. A Must-Read book. That is how I would describe this romance read that has LUST, SUSPENSE, SECRETS and full of SURPRISES along the way. Ethan and Emma are really good characters in this romance read that makes you want to fly off to Las Vegas right now.

Horrible novel...don't waste your time
Possibly the worst written novel I've read in 20 years. A high school student could do 1000% better. I never write bad reviews but this was just that bad.

What the heck did I just read😯It was horrible and jumbled and confusing. Too many things going on and Ethan and his friend/ business partner were pigs. Did not like any of the characters but the baby and she was hardly mentioned!

I did enjoy the story, I do wish it works
Would have had more at the end but that could just bebe me. Plus it bugged me a bit that the guy on the cover does not have blue eyes like in the story 🤷♀️ a silly thing but there ya have it . Over all I did enjoy the story.

I love Rebecca books so far! I just started this 9 book series’s! Hope they are all good as the first!

Emma und Ethan...Was in Vegas passiert, bleibt in Vegas...na schauen wir man ob das stimmt
Was soll ich sagen, die Story ist mal wieder einmalig, unglaublich und mega schön geschrieben. Das Cover ist man wieder einmalig, so wie die anderen der Autorin.
Emma und Ethan was für ein Paar, unterschiedlicher hätte es nicht sein können. Emma fliegt mit ihrer Freundin Sophia nach Vegas. Ihre Freundin hat ihre Hochzeit abgesagt und will mit Emma ein Mädelstripp nach Vegas machen, was eigentlich als ihre Hochzeitsreise geplant war. Dort treffen sie eher zufällig auf Ethan der dort strandete, weil sein Flugzeug defekt ist. Sein Firmen Partner Jared überredet ihn nach Vegas zu kommen und am nächsten Tag gemeinsam wieder zurück zufliegen. Wie es der Zufall will begegnen sie sich dort und was soll ich sagen, Emma und Ethan gewinnen tatsächlich den Jackpot. Naja, das ganze endet dann auch im Bett, wo auch sonst ;-) Was beide dabei aber ganz außer Acht lassen, ist das sie sich im Grunde gar nicht kennen. Am nächsten Tag ist er weg und sie weiß nur seinen Vornamen. Tja und Emma nimmt einen Job in New York ein Jahr später an und trifft dort mehr zufällig in der Firma Ethan wieder. Was Ethan bis dahin nicht weiß, das die Nacht in Vegas auch folgen hatte in Form von der süßen Emily. Wie sie es ihm sagt und ob sie es tut, solltet ihr selber heraus finden. Die Story der beiden ist der Hammer und auch nicht ohne, Welche Rolle Jared da ein nimmt ist echt erschreckend. Ethan und auch Emma haben beide eine Vergangenheit, nur in wie fern sie das überwinden und auch zu einander finden ist ein langer und auch schwere weg. Die Story ist gefüllt mit Liebe, Vertrauen, Misstrauen, Mut, Zweifel, Freude, Macht, Hass, Sorgen, Erotik und mit einigem mehr gespickt.
Wie war das doch mit dem Spruch: „Was in Las Vegas passiert, bleibt in Las Vegas“ tja das trifft hier nicht ganz zu, manchmal kommt ein Stück Las Vegas doch mit einem mit.
Die Story ist mega schön und bekommt eine ganz klare Leseempfehlung von mir und ich freu mich mehr von Rebecca Baker lesen zu dürfen. Jedes Buch von ihr ist einfach gigantisch.

Meine Meinung:
Zufälle gibt es, die sind lebensverändernd. Menschen gibt es, die einem nicht mehr aus dem Kopf gehen. So ist das auch bei Ethan und Emma, die ziemlich heiß aufeinander sind. Was nicht ohne Folgen bleibt. Ein Jahr später, sieht sich Emma ihrem One-Night-Stand gegenüber. Was nun? Wie wird er, auf ihr süßes Geheimnis reagieren?
Die Geschichte ist gut durchdacht. Chaotisches auf und ab, wechselt sich mit sehr expliziten erotischen Szenen ab. Davon gibt es gleich einige. Bis zu dem Moment, als eben nicht mehr alles so glatt läuft. Sich etwas zwischen Ethan und Emma entwickelt, was beide sicher nicht auf dem Schirm hatten. Doch Gefühle lassen sich nicht leugnen oder wegerklären.
Der Schreibstil ist flüssig und hat etwas spritzig, aufwühlendes. Die Sprache ist sehr klar und ohne Schnörkel. Man weiß nicht immer was im nächsten Moment passiert. Wird oft überrascht. Ein roter Faden zieht sich durch die Geschichte. Was ich auch gut finde sind die wenigen Charaktere, die alle zum Zug kommen.
Jared und Bürgermeister Miller sind mir suspekt.
Carla zu lasziv und auf scheinbar immer das Gleiche aus.
Marc hatte für mich, immer etwas Unschuldiges an sich. Die Mutter von Emma, hat ein gutes Herz.
Sophia hält ihre Meinung nicht zurück. Ist eine wahre Freundin.
Emma ist manchmal etwas blauäugig, dann wird sie zur Wildkatze. Eine sehr verlockende Mischung.
Ethan, hat was düsteres an sich. Sehr dominant wirkt auch seine Erscheinung, genau wie sein Gebaren.
Mein Fazit:
Insgesamt ein Buch das man gut weglesen kann, es macht Spaß, bringt spannende Momente, heiße sehr klar erzählte Szenen und die aufwühlende und gefährliche Wendung zum Schluss.
