From NYT bestselling author Samantha Towle comes a sizzling beach romance, that will leave you hot in all the right places…

Dillon Dawson loves to write romance despite her latest relationship ending with her traveling to the Maldives alone on what was supposed to be her honeymoon. Now, the only thing she wants is two weeks of uninterrupted peace and quiet with absolutely no men in sight.

West Oakley doesn’t even believe that romance exists, and he has no desire to convince himself otherwise. The only reason he’s heading to the Maldives is to escape a scandal and spend time on an island where no one knows who he is.

But plans change, and when West takes one look at Dillon, another idea forms in his mind—a no-strings two-week stand. Even though Dillon knows their sexual chemistry is explosive, her romantic heart is torn.

Can she really spend fourteen nights in the arms of a god like West, making all of her fantasies come true, only to walk away at the end of it?

Or can Dillon turn this two-week stand into more than an unexpected holiday fling, convincing West that romance does exist after all?

... Two weeks romance in Maldives and beyond.

Whoa. This is definitely one of the most senseless, insincere, and superficial romance books I've read this year. May be one of the hottest too.

Note: This is a new adult romance.

“There’s no pressure. I’m seriously hot for you, and I know you’re hot for me. Give me a chance, and I’ll make you feel things you never knew existed.”“How do you know I haven’t experienced those things already?”“Because you haven’t been fucked by me.”

Dillon caught her fiance having an affair with her mother. She was brokenhearted knowing she was betrayed by the people she loved. Dillon decided to take a break in Maldives, alone, where she and her fiance supposed to have a honeymoon. In those group of islands, at the Indian Ocean, she met West, a sexy American man who would change her life forever.

The storyline was simple and nothing new. They met. They were attracted in each other. He told her he wanted to have sex with her with no strings attached for the weeks that they were in that island. Dillon, despite of her recent heartache, agreed because who wouldn't say no to a man like him—her words. They had a lot of sex and eventually grew feelings for each other. Two weeks later, their time was up. But they weren't ready to stop seeing and screwing each other. Some decisions were agreed with. Another weeks later, another decision was made that utterly broke Dillon's heart, worst than her past heartbreak. Then, she went home in England. Days later, West realized his mistake because someone made sense to him. He went to England. Of course, he asked for another chance. She said yes. They confessed their undying love for each other. Happily ever after. The end.

I was looking for angst and I felt none. Drama, none. Depth, none. Groveling, none. Emotional, no. I was expecting smut because the title says "The Two Week Stand: A Sizzling Beach Romance." And I was right, a lot of smut indeed that were too much for my liking. I wasn't expecting a safe read, but I was given. And I'm a bit disappointed because I don't really like safe reads. It bores me every time. But if you like smutty and easy books, this is definitely for you.

Now, let's talk about our protagonists. Dillon, our heroine, annoyed me to death. She was heavyhearted because she'd been cheated, but she kept on making brainless decisions that she knew would just eventually break her heart. Not only did she made such decision once, but twice. And when that time came, she cried like an idiot. Stupid woman. I didn't like West, the hero, as well. He was a selfish, "confident bastard." I wanted to punch his "perfect" face so fucking bad. I liked that he was straightforward. I am a straightforward kind of person. But I didn't like that he pursued on asking her to have sex with him even though he knew that she was fresh from her heartbreak. I didn't also like the way he talked with Dillon. It was beyond straightforward, in my opinion, talking to a stranger, especially a woman, like he did.

Additionally, I feel as though in the romance aspect, was rushed and unbelievable. And it was too lacking in development. I don't like those kind of books where the author writes a lot of sex scenes that it almost encompasses the entire book, and make us believe later through words that the characters love each other because they have a lot of sex? That is completely ridiculous. Fictional or not, I don't think that this kind of relationships would last a long time. As a romance reader, you would be able to classify a good romance from a bad romance if it is able to assure you that the characters would live happily ever after. Unfortunately, the ending of the story and the genuineness of the main characters love for each other wasn't able to convince me.

Overall, I was entertained by the book. It was well-written. Funny at times. Definitely a good book to pass time with. I read this book when I was in a plane back home. Glad to be home, finally!

I recommend this to those who likes: Samantha Towle, erotica, romantic comedy, interracial, sports, and a happily ever after.

"Dillon and I might have started out as a two-week stand, but we’re forever now. A real happily ever after."

Dillon Dawson arrived from the UK for a dream vacation in the Maldives. It was supposed to be her honeymoon, but she came alone with a broken heart, lots of anger and all she wants is two weeks of quiet. 🌴
The American West Oakley does not believe in romance or love, and he doesn't do relationships. He came to the Maldives to escape a scandal and hang out in a place where no one would recognize him, but when he meets Dillon, he can not resist himself... 💥
They only have two weeks together, then they will return home and never see each other again. Will they be able to move on after two hot weeks of fulfilling fantasies in heaven? 😍☀️

OK so, what a fun book! It was a sexy read that made me laugh a lot. 💕
I enjoyed the characters, their great chemistry and their funny banters... the writing and the descriptions of the Maldives (I totally felt like I was with them on the island - and now I am definitely interested in coming to the Maldives for my next vacation!) 🌴☀️🙏
Yes, there were a few clichés that made me roll my eyes at the beginning (Especially when they first met) and there were some unbelievable parts in the story in my opinion, but nonetheless, I enjoyed this book very much - it was exactly what I needed. 😍

If you are looking for a sweet, funny and touching story - this is definitely the book for you! 💕

“Just for that, I’m going to spank you.”
“That so?”
“Mmhmm.”
“And what if I don’t want to be spanked?”
“I’m sure you’ll be agreeable to it when you’re riding my cock.”
She turns to face me and leans back against the glass. “Such a dirty mouth.”
“Makes you wet though, doesn’t it? I bet your panties are already soaked, and I haven’t touched you.” “Wouldn’t you like to know?”
“I’m going to know.” I spread my legs and beckon her with my finger. “Come here.”

OMFG THIS BOOK IS JUST WHAT I NEEDED!! So fucking cute and fun and HOT AS FUCKING HELL!!! I FLOVE WEST AND DILLON SO MUCH!!!! When Samantha told me there was A LOT of sex in this book she was not joking! But it was so much more than that, I adored these two characters and their banter SO MUCH! It's so hot your e-reader will explode! Just from West's dirty mouth alone! Dammmnnnn! One of my new faves of 2021 and a MUST HAVE book boyfriend!

THIS IS THE WORST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ!!!

It honestly deserves no stars!!
Disclaimer: I have very rarely given a 1 star rating, it only ever happened if I truly hated a book and this one definitely falls under that category 😑

Explicit language and spoilers below. Read at your own discretion.

How this book has received a rating of over 4 stars here on Goodreads, is beyond me 😐 it has a basic plot, no angst, no drama, no chemistry, no depth, no character development and no emotion. The romance between the MCs feels forced and unbelievable. I'm sorry, but I can't feel anything for a "I love you" that came after sex and not much else. They barely ever talk or have any connection on a personal level. To love this book just for the sexy times is so shallow, just go watch porn instead 😕 #sorrynotsorry

I actually forced myself to listen till the end, because I had to see how far this ridiculousness can go. Well, it went beyond my wildest expectations, in the worst possible way. 🤦‍♀️😂 If you ever get the chance to read this, don't waste precious hours of your life with it! I've done it so I can hopefully prevent others from doing it in the future.

My feelings before I read the book - 04.04.2021

Well... first of all, covergasm :)

The reviews say it is hot and fun. Sounds like something I might enjoy. So let it be my next read...

*********************************************

My thoughts and feelings after I read the book - 09.04.2021

Bummer ☹ I was expecting to love this book but on the contrary, I tried hard not to DNF it all the time.

I didn’t like much of anything in the book. Some readers say they enjoyed the first half but didn’t like the second part but I disliked the whole thing. I am so sorry … and sad.

I read books from this writer and gave them 4 or 5 stars but I couldn’t connect with this one at all.

*********************************************

Dillon, the heroine, left her cheating fiancé two weeks before their wedding and came to the Maldives, their honeymoon vacation, on her own because she had already paid for it.

When she talks about her fiancé, who was never good at bed and who always put his needs first, I didn’t see why she was marrying him in the first place.

And the way she was cheated on was really horrible, I really pitied her.

West, the hero, also came to the island on his own. His reasons are to be away from some scandal he created. He will be relaxing and waiting for things to cool down.

He is from the USA and she is from the UK.

The way they meet is kinda cute. She is drunk and they meet in the hotel’s bar. He finds her hot, she finds him hot and because she is too drunk, nothing happens that night.

Up to that point, the book had potential. Then, it went downhill for me from that point on.

*********************************************

Here’s why I didn’t like this book. 👇👇👇

As I said, they don’t do anything that first night when she is drunk but the day after, he tells her that he finds her hot and wants to f*ck her. (Yeah, he says it that way and I am saying it that way.)

She asks if he wants a one-night stand and he says he wants it for the two weeks they are there. So she says it will be a two-week stand.

Up to that point, there is still nothing wrong although I don’t favor this kind of (one-night or one-week kind of) arrangements.

Before Dillon considers his offer and makes a decision, West also says that it will be two weeks and no more and then they will go their own ways, they will never contact each other, or follow each other on social media etc.

“I just came here to get away from real life for a while, like you. But then I saw you, and when a situation as gorgeous as you presents itself, with the sexual chemistry I know is already between us, then I’m not going to ignore it. I’m going to pursue it. Pursue you. I’m simply offering no-strings sex for the time that we’re here, and when the vacation is over, we both go back home to our lives. We don’t stay in contact, no phone numbers or social media exchanges. Think on it. And when you’ve made a decision, let me know. If it’s a no, then we’ll go back to just being vacation neighbors. But if it’s a yes, then … get ready for the fucking of your life.”

I am sorry but he lost me there. This is not appealing at all. If a man offered me this kind of thing with a threat underneath of never contacting again, I would feel insulted. I would feel cheap. I think this is old weird me but I felt sorry when she said yes.

And during their time together, she developed feelings for him and tried to hide them away from him. That was pathetic.

*********************************************

When the two weeks are over, West surprisingly isn’t ready to end what they have and invites her to the USA but he still says the same thing – that theirs is only f*cking, not a relationship and that it has an expiry date soon.

Dillon knows that it will end when he is bored with her but she is so pathetic that she wants to be with him as much as and as long as possible. She knows he will send her away at some point but she still accepts his offer and goes with him. Grrr.. I was frustrated.

In the USA part of the book, things first go well but then she goes and makes the worst mistake ever! She does the one thing that would quickly end their relationship (or f*ckfest – whatever you may call it!)

However, although she should have never done such a stupid thing and embarrassed herself, she didn’t deserve the way West ended things and sent her away. It was just slightly better than kicking her off. That heartless bastard - I was so furious with him!

And I believe no woman should forgive a man who sends her away like a cheap prostitute who was worth nothing, not even a decent good-bye. Either you should never forgive him or make him grovel for a long time. But, I regret to tell you that it is not what happens.

*********************************************

I hate it when men's reasoning for staying away from relationships is a cliché and silly one as in this book:

I fucking loathed hurting her, but I knew it had to be done. I can’t be the man she deserves. If we were together, I’d just end up hurting her, way more than I did last week. And ultimately, nothing really ever lasts. People hurt each other. They leave. They die.

Really? Is this your reason? You don't say?!

description

In short, I hated how their relationship started, developed and ended, which means I didn’t like anything in the book at all. I thought it would be my jam, but sadly, it was far from it :(

*********************************************

As for their time together, there is not much character development there. There are not good dialogues or entertaining banter. I remember getting really bored from time to time.

*********************************************

There is TOO MUCH inner monologue in the book. Way too much.

*********************************************

There is TOO MUCH sex, way too much.

I can easily say that the whole book is a f*ckfest.

description

In some books, I crave for a few good sex scenes to be able to feel the passion and chemistry between the characters and when there is only one or two short ones, I feel disappointed.

In this book, there are too many – and I would still love it being that many if they were special but they were all mediocre, just meh.

I remember the sex scenes in some books, for example in “Veiled Innocence” or “Black Swan Affair” – the mind-blowing scenes, and then when I compare, the ones in this book were just OK…

*********************************************

Writing:

- Dual point of view.

- 245 pages.

- Not one of Ms Towle's best work, unfortunately.

*********************************************

Safety:

- There are no sex scenes with other people in the book.

- We don't know if they were celibate during their time apart. It is not mentioned.

The first part of the book was really entertaining with all the funny banter between the MCs and the cockiness of the hero.
It made me want to be in the Maldives drunk from morning til’ night with a hot man 😭😭😭

But then the second part happened (around 70%) and ruined it all.
The “plot twist” was way too far-fetched... like come on, there’s 7billion people in the world and you choose that?
Also couldn’t find sincere his reasoning of loving her, it felt to me like he told her because she made him better at football not because he truly wanted to have a forever with her.

Dillon was supposed to go to the Maldives with her brand new husband. But now she's here all alone.
Enter West. He's in this honeymoon paradise all on his lonesome too.
Perfect, right?
Two weeks with this beautiful English almost-bride?
Lots of sun, alcohol. No strings, no people telling them what and what not to do?!

LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN...

ADORABLE!

You immediately fall in love with the location and with our hero and heroine!
It's all so sunny and alcoholy and fun and verrry sexy. But of course both are a bit sad and broken ... so this is just the perfect two-week stand in the most perfect location with the most perfect person. They're just good for each other.
But only in this island moment? Or for longer. Forever?
Who knows. We'll see. 😎

I really enjoyed reading this.
I felt like I was right there in this beautiful place with them. I think I mentally drank all the alcohol they had too! ☺
The island time is super fun and super sexy.

But then we have to go back to the real world... and things are a bit more complicated!

I was a huge fan of the bam-surprise-plot-twist thingy. Meaning I was super surprised by it. But then ... once I thought about it for a second. It was a bit silly, right? I can't say more without spoiling but it was totally unbelievable for me. But it's a romance and we need a little drama - it was totally okay the way it was. You just have to overlook the tiny little ridiculousness of it.
And another thing. Dillon and West were too young for me. They acted way older than their age - especially Dillion. I would've guessed their age to be at least 6 to 10 years older!

BUT ... I still really loved the book. The story. The cover. The characters.

Beautiful Vacation Love Story - with a real-world happy end?READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT!! 😎

4.5 “Fun and Flirty” Stars

This was a fun, flirty, sweet and sassy, delightful read. It was the perfect mix of playful banter and romance. The hero and heroine of the story were so spot on and perfect for one another that the author captured it beautifully. I love a story that can totally capture me and put me in a happy place.

I can’t decide who like who I like more, Dillon or West. Dillon was sweet and sassy with a naïve vulnerability that made her endearing in all aspects. A bit of a klutz, she was funny even though she was a heart broken mess. West had a perfect arrogance that was mixed with playfulness and charm. He also had some vulnerability which made him all the more lovable.

I loved the premise of the story. It’s a two week stand set in the Maldives that eventually developed into more. I loved the plot of how they came together and I also loved that it took my mind away from reality and told me a delightful story of finding love when you least expect it.

Of course there’s a little angst, there’s a whole lot of sass, there’s hot sex and there is a whole lot of romance all wrapped up in a perfect little story called The Two Week Stand. If you want to forget your troubles, forget your worries, and just slip into a happy place, then I highly recommend this book.

*********************************************

* Why are there 2 different entries for the same book?

I had to copy-paste my original review here, as well.

One of my favourite books this year! 😍

The Two Week Stand is a laugh out loud romance that will melt your heart and set it on fire at the same time 🔥😍

The story follows Dillon (from the UK), who two weeks before her wedding discovers that her arsehole fiancée had been sleeping with her horrible mother. Not wanting to lose a ton of money, she decides to go on her honeymoon alone, in the Maldives.
She so heartbroken and angry. She just wants to get drunk, avoid all the happy couples and try to not panic about the fact that she’s now single, lost her job and has nowhere to live 😬

West (from the USA) has also come to the island alone to get away from the press and the stories circulating about his past. His fathers job suffocates him and sometimes overshadows his incredible football career. He just needs space and time away from it all.

The two meet on their first night on the island and it’s one of the funniest meetings I’ve ever read. Dillon is already trashed and making everyone in the bar laugh and West is instantly enamoured by her and insanely attracted to her. But because she’s drunk, he knows that nothing can happen between them yet. So he just ends up trying to look after her and listening to her story.

They decide to have a two week, holiday fling and then go their separate ways. But neither of them seem capable of letting the other go and things get a little bit messy.

Their chemistry is amazing and I felt how right they were for each other from the very start. I freaking LOVED Dillon. Her extremely funny musings and constant over-thinking is so relatable. She’s silly and fun and sexy.
And I completely fell in love with West. He might not like the idea of a relationship, but he was determined to be there for Dillon. He wanted to make her happy and wipe away the hurt that her mother and fiancée had caused her. He wanted her to know how kind and beautiful she is and that she deserves better. And my god, he’s so fucking hot! 🔥

‘I came here to get some space and give me time to clear my head. Not to get serviced by Captain America over there.’

***

“Give me a chance, and I’ll make you feel things you never knew existed.”
“How do you know I haven’t experienced those things already?”
“Because you haven’t been fucked by me.”

***

“I’m not freaking out,” she squawks.
“Your voice has gone high, like really high-pitched.”
“It hasn’t,” she squeaks. She looks away and clears her throat. “It hasn’t,” she repeats in a deeper voice, sounding nothing like herself.’

Samantha Towle has nailed it once again. If you’re looking for something super fun, steamy and low on angst, then this is definitely the book for you. You won’t regret it 👍😍

4.5 stars!

This is a great little standalone from Samantha Towle. A fun, sexy read that sucked me in with laughs, epic chemistry, and a gorgeous romance. I loved this one!

Dillon has travelled from the UK to the Maldives for what was supposed to be her honeymoon. Instead, she’s on her own for the non-refundable holiday after she caught her fiancé in a compromising position two weeks before their wedding. It’s a horrible situation, and though she’s not as devastated as she probably should be, she’s looking forward to drowning herself in alcohol while making plans to move on with her life during her two weeks in paradise.

West is an American who has is in the Maldives for some peace and quiet and to get away from life for a while. His life is stressful, and he’s looking forward to two weeks of soaking up the sun and doing whatever the hell he wants. That plan becomes infinitely more interesting when he’s sitting in the bar on his first night and a very drunk Dillon walks in.

Dillon and West have a very natural chemistry, and even though he’s a perfect gentleman while caring for her drunk ass that first night, once she sobers up in the morning, it’s even more explosive. The sexual tension is sizzling and completely undeniable, and when West proposes that they enjoy each other for a no-strings holiday hookup, there’s no way Dillon can say no.

“You mean, like…a two-week stand?”
He chuckles low, and I feel it like a hand between my legs. “If that’s what you want to call it.”
“I’m really not sure what to call it,” I whisper.”
His look is searing. “Sex, Dillon. You call it really fucking hot sex for two weeks straight. If you let me, I’ll make you come so hard and I’ll fuck you in so many ways that you’ll still be feeling me for weeks after.”

OMG, I love this relationship! It’s fun, it’s playful, the chemistry is insane, and the sex is freaking HOT! West is upfront and honest about everything he wants with Dillan, which I love. He is gorgeous, confident and infinitely sexy, and he turns out to be a sex-god who likes control and a bit of roughness in the bedroom (and wherever else they do it), and the steamy time is off the charts! But more than just sex, they are together pretty much all the time, and they have such an easy way together. They are open, and they talk, they laugh a lot, and their interactions are flirtatious and full of banter, and I loved every moment with them together.

“We’re both consenting adults. We’re both single. And we’re incredibly attracted to each other.”
“You are so confident.”
“Attractive, isn’t it?” I give her a smile that’s been getting me laid since the ninth grade.
Her teeth sink into her plum bottom lip. “Oddly, yes.”
I like that answer. I like it a hell of a lot.

But Dillon is a romantic at heart. She’s never been in an arrangement like this before, and her growing feelings for West mean it’s going to hurt when it’s time to end her time with him. But he told her straight-up that a short-term fling is all he’s capable of, he’s never had a relationship and he’s not interested in one. But the more they explore each other in their tropical paradise, the closer they become. Will they be able to let go?

“I like you,” he says, his lips brushing over mine.
And honestly, his words surprise me.
“I like you too,” I tell him quietly.
“I don’t like many people.”
“So, I’m one of the lucky ones then.”
“Obviously. But so am I. You’re like no one I’ve ever met before.”

This is such a fun read. I laughed and swooned and I loved these two characters so much. They both have some baggage, and while you think you know where the story is going, there’s more to it than just their two weeks, and I couldn’t put this book down as it all played out. There is a bit of drama, which adds a nice amount of emotion and intensity to the story, giving it a lot of heart, and I loved it.

4.5 stars!

Dillon has just arrived for a dream holiday in the Maldives. She is staying at a gorgeous resort and has an itinerary packed with exciting things to look forward to. The thing is, her husband should be there too enjoying the ‘honeymoon’ with her. Unfortunately she is now doing it solo and honestly all I can say about him is - what a twunt!

Dillon is also a budding self-published author and is hoping that this time away might also give her some writing inspiration. She could have stayed home but the last place she wanted to be was anywhere near her ex so why not drown her sorrows and get some space from the chaos of her reality right? She starts by inhaling all the mini bar bottles and the ‘congrats on your wedding’ free champagne while jet lagged… what could possibly go wrong?

West is also seeking peace and privacy in the Maldives. He has a very public life, not just in his career in the NFL but his family is also known by pretty much everyone in the U.S. Most of the people staying on this island are couples so he is kind of the odd one out. Therefore when Dillon stumbles into the resort bar he is surprised to find she is alone. She is absolutely gorgeous and seems hell bent on getting wasted. When she completely pours her heart out to him, he decides to keep her company so that she gets safely back to her villa.

Waking up on the first morning of her holiday has a few surprises for Dillon. She is still fully clothed, there is a man asleep in her room and she has no memory of what happened last night. Fortunately for her, West is able to fill in the gaps. She is just a tad embarrassed, especially because West is like a walking wet dream and she can’t believe she spent the night with him and must look as bad as she feels right now.

The island is pretty small so bumping into each other again that day was inevitable and it turns out that they enjoy each others’ company, so much so that West has a proposal to put to Dillon. There is a very obvious physical attraction between them and seeing as they are both single maybe they could have some fun together. Dillon lives in the UK and after two weeks they will go their separate ways with some pretty schmexy memories to take with them. And believe me they are soooo memorable and it’s going to be hard, really, really hard to forget them….

‘There’s no pressure. I’m seriously hot for you, and I know you’re hot for me. Give me a chance, and I’ll make you feel things you never knew existed.’ ‘How do you know I haven’t experienced those things already?’ ‘Because you have been fucked by me.’ God, I’m a confident bastard. But I also have the goods to back it up.

I got really emotional reading this story, I got frustrated with West and was pissed off on Dillon’s behalf, I did not expect to cry but cry I did. This was a highly anticipated read for me and it was everything I hoped and more :) And here are a few more naughty moments…

‘I don’t want inside your panties, sweetheart. I want them off. It’s my dick I want inside you.’

‘I’m a small woman. I have a small vagina. I don’t honestly know if it’s gonna fit in me. But one thing I do know is that I’m gonna have fun trying.’

4 ⭐'s

It's that same ol' song and dance where the woman walks in on her fiancé cheating on her but OMG...my heart went out to Dillon regarding who her fiancé was cheating with.

And naturally, it's right before their wedding and since the honeymoon was nonrefundable, she's off to the Maldives by herself. This is where she meets West...while she's drunk - at the bar.

They have a very interesting time - none of which Dillon remembers. West is totally enthralled and he loves to wind her up. He's also very frank and does not beat around the bush.

They decide to have a "two week stand" while they are both there with the understanding they will have no contact once they leave. It should work out fine since she lives in England and he's from America.

Let's just say there's not a lot to do there besides lay around, eat and drink, and have tons of sex. In fact, a lot of the scenes in the book are sex scenes...and one night with a bottle of booze was quite memorable.

The time to leave has come and they make another decision. West also finally tells her who he is and it's a doozy.

I think I enjoyed these next parts better even if I felt the combination of what West does for a living and who he's related to is a bit too much.

There is some angst which I was happy about. I just wasn't as happy that it ended way too soon.

It was great how West set things up in the epilogue and how everything came back around. It was really sweet.

West Oakley has a new fangirl, and that fangirl is me. Holy hotness, someone hold my mushy, molten heart. 🔥😈😍 This book is Swoon with a capital S.

Granted, I haven’t read every one of her books yet, but for me, The Two-Week Stand is Samantha’s best book yet, and I don’t say that lightly.

It is the perfect pre-summer read, taking the reader to a world of sun, sea, sand, and of course... hot as hell sex! But more than that, the characters quickly become friends with their relatability and their quirky ways. Dillon could quite easily be any one of us, and West is quite honestly a god among men with his cocky nature and undeniable charm. I’d take any deal he had to offer me, even if that deal landed me spending time next to the devil himself. 😏

I. Was. Hooked.

So much so that I finished this in one sitting. It’s been a while since I did that.

I don’t even think you need to read the blurb for this one. Just dive in, and take yourself on a trip to the Maldives to experience a beach romance we all wish we’d had at least once in our lives. 🥵

I'm stuck in this dilemma where one of the authors that got me back to reading romance, 5 years ago, has now made me disappointed and I'm here wondering why I'm making a big deal out of this when I clearly knew what I was getting into.

Heroine goes on her honeymoon to Maldives, after her fiancé cheats with her mother, and she meets the hero, who's also on vacation there. They decide on a two week stand and have a sexual relationship for the two weeks they are holidaying.

Now this is clearly a sexual book. But there's better stuff out there. There's the typical hero who keeps talking and thinking about sex and that's his *entire personality*. Yes, I'm not joking. Tbh if you were going to do that, then you might as well try adding kinky shit too? This one felt extremely bland. The heroine felt like the author was writing herself into the book with her being a fairly unknown author who's written several books. She was cute for 5 minutes, but when she started falling for a guy she's been having sex with for less than week, that's when I rolled my eyes. There was clearly nothing here and the dialogues between the two were so boring that I kept getting pissed at myself for not DNF-ing this book.

This was just disappointing. Don't waste your time here. I'm giving this three stars only because it didn't piss me off. It was just blehhhhhh.

When Dillon Dawson takes her honeymoon trip to the Maldives alone she just wants R&R away from all the disaster happening in her life. West Oakley is escaping to the same place but for another reason. When these two accidentally meet can they change their plans of being alone to something fun? Two singles in paradise for two weeks...what could go wrong? This is a feel good romantic comedy with sweet moments and two strangers finding the freedom in themselves. An easy, vacation paradise romance with a strangers to friends to lovers feel. That West is a naughty one! I really enjoyed the banter and connection these two have going on. Let’s go on a beach rendezvous! Told in dual POV

Talk about steamy scenes!! If you want smut, with a side of storyline, then The Two-Week Stand is the book for you! Samantha Towle has been an author I’ve dipped in and out of over the years, and whilst the Two-Week Stand wasn’t my favourite book by her, it was still a fun and steamy read!

When Dillon finds out her fiancé has been cheating on her, she flees on their non-refundable honeymoon to the Maldives, knowing she’ll spend the entire two weeks surrounded by happy couples, and drowning her sorrows in cocktails most of the time. So, when she meets gorgeous and charming West at the bar, there’s this instant attraction, and when he helps her out of a sticky situation, they strike up a friendship. When West puts forward the idea of a friends with benefits situation, with an expiration date of the end of their trip, Dillon is hesitant at first, knowing that if she lets West in, she’s going to have her heart broken once again. But the chemistry is too much to resist and they spend two weeks caught up in their lust bubble. But the problem is, when their two-week stand comes to an end, will their bubble burst?

So, there were some aspects I liked about this book, for example how upfront West was at the start with what he wanted, he didn’t lead her on at all. The entire island part of the book was my favourite because they were so caught up in each other, and there were some very steamy, intense bedroom scenes, very insta lust. But what I didn’t like was that by 50%, there was still nothing other than lust between them. There was way too much internal monologue from both of them, and when Dillon says in her head that she’s starting to fall there is no indication as to why, she barely knows anything about him, and they haven’t had any deep moments other than West saying how she’s different to other girls (what a line). There was no communication between them, that’s what ruined it for me, because West so scared of actually feeling something, and Dillon was scared she’d scare West off by admitting she was feeling more.

By the end they were doing everything a couple does, but no commitment, and it felt like West just wanted an easy get out clause, even though they were a couple just without the labels or the admitted feelings. This ruined his whole character for me, he went from this sexy man to someone who was a very immature man child. I actually wish they didn’t end up together, because quite frankly Dillon deserved way more than that. Yes, she was flaky and knew she’d fall when she went in, but West was heartless and actually showed no kind of feelings for her on the outside, gave no indication once that he wanted more from her other than wanting to sleep with her and say he liked her for her looks. But worst of all he managed to convince himself he was doing the best FOR her, because he couldn’t be the man she wanted – er news flash, you had been the guy she needed for the entire fling, literally nothing needed to change. She never put pressure on you, never asked for anything, wasn’t using you for your name or status, she just wanted the guy she met on the island.

The grovel at end was okay, but I still never became invested in them as a couple. I would say for an easy and smutty read, this is the perfect book, but I would’ve liked a bit more substance to their relationship earlier on than the very end. By 84% I need something more from the hero other than he finds the heroine hot and wants to sleep with her, definitely not him trying to convince himself he doesn’t want more than a fling, having never admitted feelings to her once throughout the book. Not my fave but not the worst!

„Give me a chance and I’ll make you feel you never knew existed.”

THIS. This is exactly the book I needed. With just the right amount of angst, super steamy scenes and gorgeous setting, The Two Week Stand is the perfect story to get lost in! I was completely captivated from the very first page and I couldn't stop reading this amazing book even for a second. Who needs adulting, when you can find yourself in the Maldives with an unbelievably handsome and irresistible hunk of a man? Definitely not me, lol!

I loved Dillon and the development of her character. She's funny, quirky, perky and cute as hell! Although she was a bit subdued at first, she quickly began to gain confidence. I really liked how she evolved into a teasing and daring woman, who isn't scared to reach for what she wants. I adored her sass and her nerdy nature. She's a real gem!

West… Oh my gahhhh, he’s such an attractive man! And I don’t mean only his looks. His confidence and directness is sexy as hell and I just loved how he didn't beat about the bush, but took what he wanted without shame and remorse. He’s the perfect book boyfriend, who will steal your heart (and your panties!)

West and Dillon shared an instant attraction and sizzling chemistry. I can’t count the times when I was all flushed from the heat they brought with their sultry romance. Their summer fling was out of this world and charged with such an intense passion! Although they come from two different ends of the world and on paper they couldn’t be more different, they are the proof that people, just like puzzles, are able to fit together perfectly. And thanks to them I'll never be able to look at the bottle of gin the same again!

The Two Week Stand is an outstanding summer romance that will give you all the feels. It’s incredibly hot, a little bit emotional and very much entertaining. The banter between main characters is hilarious and their passion is scorching hot. Filled with steam, emotions and unexpected twists, this book is a real page-turner!

Dillon and West

There was a lot I loved about this. It was so fresh, witty, and funny. I was laughing out loud at Dillon and the banter these two have. I loved their amazing chemistry.

Unfortunately West’s reaction toward the end really ruined the whole story. He completely dismissed Dillon and their time together and for what? Because he was scared? And the only thing that pulls his head out of his own butt is his Coach telling him he is playing like crap and he needs to get his girl back so he can play football like he used to again. I don’t believe he would have fought for her without this exchange with his coach and that makes me sad beyond belief.

While there were aspects I enjoyed their separation and reason behind it made me throw in the towel.

This book was hilarious, steamy and so dang cute! I loved everything about West and Dillon!

A surprise meet cute that leads to a hilarious first night has West making a declaration to spice up not only his vacation but Dillon’s as well! These two hit it off and with no commitments their care free vacation leads to several sexy times and an easy friendship soon forms!

I loved that this story was dual pov. Dillon is quirky but hilarious. West is fun loving but has a heart of gold. I love this book and can’t wait to read more from this author!
