I don't DNF books but I sure did skim the hell out of this one. I could not get over how ridiculous it was that Finn didn't realize the twins were his after seeing them. He even commented on how Sam had his chin! He had their medical charts so he would know how old they were, knew he slept with their mother about 9 months before they were born, and didn't even ask if there was a possibility they were his??? I about threw my Kindle across the room multiple times. And Kenna wasn't much better but I don't even have the energy to rant about her as much as I would need to.
Aside from the annoyance these characters had me feeling, the story was a little boring for me and nothing really stood out about it.
Style: Romance Story: 3/5 Enjoyment: 3.5/5 Dark Level: 0/5 Sexual: GOOD Triggers: No Male: Doctor & Sexy Series: Book 3 Pages: Loc. 3346 Kindle Unlimited: Yes
STORY: This was a a pleasant, sweet and steamy contemporary romance. I love the concept of the one-night stand with the Doctor and said Doctor coming back years later with the biggest discovery of his life. The twins were adorable and made this story just that cute.
CHEMISTRY: The chemistry between Kenna and Finn was ok for me. I think, although I found them sexy, I needed more from them. Their one-night stand was steamy, but I wanted more.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS The secondary characters were good. I believe they had their story from pervious books, so I am looking forward to reading the other books.
Overall, likable story, love the concept and curious to read the other doctors stories from the pervious books.
***I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read and hope this review was helpful.

I bought this book because it had four and five stars with good reviews. The story concept was good yet it was disappointing. There was to much focus on explicit sex than a one night stand man finding out he’s a father. I personally feel a book doesn’t need to use a lot of F and C words. I think explaining how he can feel himself getting hard gets the point across without being crude. They made arrangements to meet and talk over the twins yet alway ended up having sex. Then Kenna would leave because it was a mistake.
Kenna was furious with Finn because she raised the twins without him for two years. She goes into detail of staying up at night, Sophia cutting her knee. Just reading that was ridiculous Finn had no idea he had children. It was very annoying that no matter what he said about wanting to be a father Kenna got mad. There is very little interaction with Sam and Sophia and their father throughout the whole book. That was disappointing, daddy taking them to his place for dinner and a movie. Daddy visiting them at their house. There was so much negativity on Finn’s ability to be a father there wasn’t any room left in the book for daddy time. Finn had to always prove himself to Kenna. Like Finn said if she really put effort on finding him it could have been done. He lost two important years with his twins growing up. Then in a blink of an eye there’s the epilogue with Sam and Sophia.
So this was a super cutesy read, maybe a little too high on the cornball factor for me, but entertaining. A no last name ONS turns into single mommysville with twins for our FMC. Three years later, he's just so happened to move to the same town as her and they have all the same friends, so they find each other again. Probably could have still enjoyed it except for the OTT male heart to hearts over feelings, wives, and babies 🙄. Just a little too woman writing men as women for me, lol. Decent writing and if you're looking for fluffy, it'll definitely hit the spot.
this is one of the times that i want to kill the character, kenna is more like a bipolar b£@&!! its hard to finish this book because of her, i thought this will be a cutesy story because of the kids but nope
Kenna is an event planner and is working a bar mitzvah event for 100 people! By the time it successfully ended, she needs to head to the bar for a glass of wine to unwind. When her phone died so she couldn’t scroll social media, she looked around at the other patrons and saw a really gorgeous guy at the end of the bar. He was smirking at her knowing she was watching him intently. She finished her wine, then heard him ask the bartender to refill her glass, and she loved the sound of his Irish brogue. When she looked up from her drink, he was gone… but not far as she heard him whisper in her ear from behind her! The rest of the evening was getting to know each other, more drinks, and a trip up to his room.
Finn is a doctor returning Ireland. He invites her for a last drink up in his room. After a wonderful night together, Kenna finds herself alone in the morning and a short note to thank her for the time they spent.
Three years later Finn returns to America and meets his first patient of the day – Kenna, along with two beautiful babies he would swear look familiar to him! Thinking she would never run into Finn again, she never revealed the father’s name. Should she tell Finn her secret now? Is he only here for a short time? No matter what else happens, the revelation will release a ton of emotions!
I loved this story. The characters were wonderful and likable. Finn will have decisions to make as other information enters the story. Will he hesitate to do the right thing, whatever that may be? Grab your copy and enjoy Kenna and Finn’s story.
Kenna meets Finn at this bar after work one night. Not looking for anything except to wind down. Finn, this gorgeous, Irish, cocky sexy beast of a man checks all of the boxes but is returning to Ireland in the morning.
After a crazy, sexy, heated one night where they don’t exchange anything other than first names- Kenna wakes up like it was all a dream. Fast forward 3 yrs later and her twin 2 yr olds are basically proof that, that night was not a dream. Then, taking her kids in for a check up - no other than Dr Finn himself is giving those twins their shots.
When Finn puts two and two together - he realizes that he’s either about to change his life for good or live life knowing he has offspring in the world.
This book was full of ups and down. It was sexy and the chemistry between Finn and Kenna was great. However, when the time came to actually get to know each other the author skimmed over it like that wasn’t a big deal. Then all of a sudden their in love. 🤷🏼♀️
This was an ok ready. It was steamy. It was quick and it was a good storyline. For me, it was just missing some of the main things I needed more of.
*Overall 3/5 *Heat 3.5/5 *First person POV - Finn and Kenna *Standalone *No triggers *HEA? Yes
Finn is sweet and a good guy but he never expected to keep thinking of his one night stand. Kenna never expected her one night stand to have consequences much less have Finn walk back into her life. What a good romance in the making but dang I understand being unsure but it annoyed me how she treated Finn. The story gets good and then wham it wraps up faster than it started. It still is a great read but it left me wanting more.

This was an okay read. Normally I like this authors books but this one didn't work for me. Finn and Kenna had a one night stand. Then he goes back to Ireland. Now he is back and he finds out that he has twins. I really disliked how Kenna treated the situation. She refused to let him help with his kids. It was simply because she didn't want to share the kids. It was ridiculous. However, in the end she came to her senses.
Selfish, narcissistic, "heroine" who thinks she's all her toddlers need is so off course.
Kenna is the scourge of mothers having had children out of wedlock. She did NOT raise the twins by herself! She had a fulltime, live in set of nannies in her parents, and very good friends who happened to have little children, too, who took some other stress away by taking care of hers to give her breaks. Hence, she was NOT doing it all herself, and she had no right to judge Finn by all her alleged imaginings of his character. She had no idea who he really was -- she had seen only one side of him, after all -- and she should have been morally moved to apprise Finn of his children. That he felt drawn to them, and felt connected even without knowing their background speaks to his character and Irish genetics. (That sixth sense).
I despise women like Kenna. She wouldn't have been so arrogant and condescending about Finn had she actually been struggling to raise her babies on her own. How infuriating -- I almost wish Finn really didn't want her, too, as nasty as her thought processes were toward him when she.really knew nothing about the kind of person he actually was underneath his facade that he presented to the world. One star, because if she actually was a true mothering parent, having had a loving set of parents herself, and was in possession of a thinking brain that wasn't filled with preconceived imaginings, she would have been a different character. However, I suppose the writer wanted conflict and word count, but such an unrealistic single mother who was supposed to be intelligent and.from a normal upbringing wasn't the way to go. Kenna was unappealing, attractive to only Finn. Hated her.
Well the book definitely has sex scenes and masturbatory fantasy scenes that are a trend in romance I could skip all together. Like I get that rubbing one out is healthy and normal and I don't fault the characters for that. I just don't need to read pages upon pages of it. The story is supposed to be about him learning to be a Dad but he barely spends time with the kids at all and all of their let's discuss custody meetings devolve into sex scenes. The two year old have exceptionally advanced vocabularies and motor skills so they read more like 4 year olds. Most of their scenes are with their grandparents. The thing is the premise is interesting but all of the romance parts where they deal with feelings and the life parts where they're supposed to figuring things out are either summarized, skipped or devolve into another sex scene. There were so many they became tedious and boring. And if they weren't having sex they were fantasizing about it. The story had numerous unnecessary characters who only actually interact with one lead or the other for the purpose of a conversation and don't really participate in the real plot. It was just not enough for me as a reader and I wanted more.
Finn and Kenna had a hot one night stand that brought two surprises. They unexpectedly cross path three years later to the same explosive chemistry. But is he ready to be a father and commit to a life with them, as a family?
Kenna is cautious and reticent to let Finn in. She runs hot and cold that gets annoying. I felt bad for Finn. The story became repetitive as they never made progress in their discussion about the kids since the main way they communicate is sex. Love a steamy scene but it glossed over a real connection, not really sure what they had except lust.
There also wasn't enough interactions with the kids. We barely get to see Finn with them, which would have been nice. The ending is rushed and abrupt. It was disappointing.
I thought this was going to be a really cute one. I couldn’t stand Kenna whatsoever. She jumped to conclusions and just assumed he a) didn’t want to be involved and b) would be a bad father. Give the guy a chance! Yes you may have became a mom when you found out about them but you also had 9 months to plan and prepare yourself before they actually arrived and then you have the audacity to not let him come to terms with having kids and know what he’s supposed to be doing the minute after he finds out. She as a mom should already know parents have no clue what they are doing and just kind of winging it and hoping for the best. It was really had to get past her attitude.
This was an okay read, I loved Finn. Him and Kenna had a one-night stand 3 years ago. That resulted in her being pregnant with Twins. 3 years later, they meet up again, sparks still fly, But Kenna is a selfish person, she could do no wrong and poor Finn did everything wrong. I disliked Kenna, she was perfect and everyone was wrong. I loved Finn, I loved how good he was with the twins, I loved him as a doctor. I loved watching Finn with his all his feelings. I am glad, they got their Happily ever after, however I wish Kenna wasn't so bad. She made the story hard to read.
I didn't finish reading this book because it didn't hold my attention. I feel the writer had potential with this plot, but needed to up her game. The dialouge was boring, it was not exciting. The conversations between characters were mundane, and very generic- nothing that held my interest. I am disappointed this book was in the top 100 books on Kindle, I had higher hopes for this read.
I've only read a few books that I've clicked out of and not finished. This is one of them. I guess I feel that the lead female is excessive in her behavior. I stopped at the end of chapter nineteen. I don't understand how the expectations can be so high and get the woman can be so ridiculously over the top.
It was a good book but I didn’t like the fact that the twins didn’t meet their dad till the end of the book it was mostly about the sex between Finn & Kenna ( it actually really annoyed me that there was no relationship between the kids and their dad.)
A bit disappointed I still haven’t received the extended epilogue. The story was great but, once reunited, it was a very fast strangers to lovers romance. Also, don’t hate on me but the sex took up most of the in person dialogue.
I really wanted to like this one. The conflict was pretty unbelievable and the resolution was anticlimactic. So rushed I didn't really know what happened.
The Search for a Good Man Who Can Become a Better Man and a Loving Father
It takes a mighty good man to be better than no man at all. And, it takes an even better man, with love in his heart, to be a father. But when the 23-year-old Kenna Jameson, a hazel-eyed party planner with wavy brown hair and a waifish figure, met a tall, dashing Irishman with auburn hair and eyes as green as clover at the bar of the luxury hotel where she had successfully managed a party for Gia’s Events, all she could think about was that a romp with the man would be a perfect ending to a perfect day.
She certainly did not consider the nature of the man when, with a lilting Irish accent that was sexy as f*ck, he introduced himself as Finn and explained that he had been attending a medical conference in Denver. And, when she awoke in his empty penthouse hotel room with only a note thanking her for a good time and signed only with his first name—Finn—she didn’t spend a great deal of time pondering much other luxury of the room and the soaps, oils and emollients supplied in the room when she showered before departing. No, she didn’t give the man or the night much thought until a month later when she gazed in disbelief at the twin pink lines on the pregnancy test.
Now, almost 3 years later, as a mother, Kenna thinks often of the qualities required of a good man, a loving father, and how such a man would help her with the day-to-day challenges of parenting—not one, but two beautiful children—Sophia and Sam. And she knows that she has support—she and the children live with her parents, and her job—which she loves with Gia’s Events—has continued to advance, and soon, she may be a offered partnership in the company.
But still, in her quiet moments, dreams of parenting with a good man who is an even better father— of what it would be like to share the load—like when she is juggling her work schedule with her “mom” schedule. She reflects on how moments like a visit to the pediatrician for an annual check-up and booster shots for one child can be a challenge, and for a single mom with two children, even more daunting. So, when Kenna arrives at the doctor’s office only to be told that the doctor is out with an injured ankle and that a substitute doctor will be seeing her children, Kenna takes the change in stride, just happy to not need to reschedule the appointments. And, her relief lasts until the door opens to reveal the face of Dr. Finnegan O’Connor—a man whose eyes are the same clover green as Sophia’s eyes and whose auburn hair and freckled nose and cheeks are mirrors of Sam’s face—a man who only looked for one night and no in-person goodbyes 3 years earlier.
KC Crowne’s newest romance provides the reader with a twisted path of love as two passing strangers, separated by distance, time and missing information, are reunited by fate and shared friends. But the path to truelove is never straight or smooth when the fears of the past try to crash into the present. But, with friends who are like family, providing support and guidance, even the most intimidating challenges can be met with confidence.

And she is making it work, she is now partner in the company with her best friend. But he is really good with the kids and the shots go okay But Kenna is glad when she can quickly gets herself out of there. Finn is back in the America, going against his fathers wishes but Finn had enough of living under his fathers thumb. He’s always been one of those guys he was happy to be single. When he goes to is boss Duncan's party lo and behold who is there? His Kenna and her kids and he gets one hell of a shock that night. I really enjoyed the story. The chemistry that these two have is off the charts and cannot keep their hands off each other. But that come 2nd to the kids. Kenna is one strong mamma bear and nothing will stop her from taking care of those kids and keeps Finn away if he cant be the father that Sam and Sophia deserve. Can these two put their heads together and come up with a plan for the children or are they always going end up arguing.?? I really like Kenna and her group of friends that she had around her offering her friendship and support. Finn is this sexy Irishman, didn’t really take things seriously. The problem Being his father put everything into his clinic after losing his wife so Finn and his brother never had a father figure growing up. Can he be a father to these two beautiful children he’s got so many doubts but can you see past them???
