Wahida Clark was born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey. She decided to start writing fiction while incarcerated at a women's federal camp in Lexington, KY. Her style is street, raw, and she has an imagination that's in overdrive. When you read her novels they are so real you are convinced of one of three things: that you are inside the book, you know the characters, or you just have to meet them.
Her first novel, Thugs And The Women Who Love Them and the sequel, Every Thug Needs A Lady appeared on the Essence Best Sellers List.

While attending a metaverse walk through of the Universal Hip Hop Museum, there was a section of the museum that had many covers of Wahida Clark's books. The cover of her book, "The Virus Brought Me My First Love," caught my eye.

**no spoilers**

I had NOO idea what to expect in reading this story but I breeze through it as though I was on a 3 way conversation with my best friends.

A refreshing read about what life was(and still is) for those of us who chose to not intermingle during these uncertain times.

All the characters were well-developed. I even have my own vision of what Marcus would look like. My eyes just pop out in a glow thinking of this dreamy MAN.

Loved all the dialogue for it was truly organic.

I would love to know what happens NEXT...

I'm so thankful I found Wahida Clark. Will be reading more from her!

This was the 1st book I read on my Kindle Oasis. Definitely could tell the difference from reading on my Kindle app than on the Kindle reader. I prefer now the Kindle Oasis because of NO DISTRACTIONS and there is NO BLUE light that did not hurt my eyes! xo

Very enjoyable.of there was away to have a time machine and read this during the pandemic it would have been uplifting at the time. Clark is correct...when she states so many horrible events and losses during lockdown but seeing a couple find a positive and fall in love was do sweet 😍😍

Main characters sister brought up some good points that i remmeber relating to during the lockdown ie When we were all forced to slowdown you came to realize if your life had become unknowingly empty or boring, now that the distractions were gone
