This is a large-format non-fiction picture book with Pete Cromer's totally lovely images created by paper-cut collage (these images will be familiar to Australians, at least, who will recognise the work from mugs, teatowels, and more).
The sentences are simple enough for the beginner reader but not so simple that it will appear "babyish" to middle primary school students.
An excellent addition to the non-fiction collection of any children's library!

Amazing piece of art. If you love Australia, animals or colourful art, this is the picture book for you. Besides amazing art, there are some good facts about the animals mentioned.
