Karen Nappa is an Amazon bestselling author of Seasoned BDSM romance with HEA. Her books are available at the popular retailers and include series such as the Club Indigo series and The Quinn Quartet.

Immersed in the D/s lifestyle herself, she writes realistic albeit romantic stories. When not dominated by her cats or her Master (in that order—even if it earns her a spanking!), she loves going places to discover the stories waiting to be written.

She resides in the Netherlands with her dominant husband, two adult-ish sons—and whoever they might drag home with them—and, of course, her two Chausie cats. If she isn’t writing or texting with friends, she’s probably reading, running, or listening to heavy metal.

Welcome back to club Indigo,it’s so good to see everyone again!
This time,it’s Ruby standing in the spotlight, and i’m glad to hear her story.
Because that girl deserves her hea, even if she didn’t think she’d ever get one.
Not with an absent father, leaving her mother raising her alone.
Leaving her with a lack of trust in anything permanent......

On top of the struggle her mother is going through after she’d been mugged,Ruby’s spermdonor keeps sending Ruby letters, trying to reach out.
If only he’d taken his responsibility when her mother was pregnant, all this would never have happened....
His latest attempt means they have a lot of money now, plus it means Ruby hears her mother’s side of the story.
And that means hearing things she didn’t expect......

In the meantime,at club Indigo, she enjoys playing with Master Will, who knows his way around ropes.
But she needs more than that, and after meeting a new Master,Nathan, she finds what she’d been looking for.
Only,Will and Nathan know eachother, and their history is not pretty,so when Will sees her with Nathan he explodes.
Fighting it out over her head is not only stupid,it hurts Ruby!
It’s a good thing she has friends that look out for her.....and one of them,Bob (a psychologist) rescues her from the two angry alphas.

Once Bob has a good chat with Will and Nathan, they form a team though, and guess who they’re going after....
They still have their issues though, all three of them, and until they talk about them, the whole arrangement could end up in disaster.

At least there’s progress in finding the mugger.
And she’s finally getting to know her father.
If only she could have both Will and Nathan,too.....

Having the privilege to see every story grow from start to finish,is such a pleasure, and i hope to see many more.
Because there is such beauty in them. You can feel the love for every person. The intimacy. The care. And i love it!

I adore this series. There’s something just so refreshing about the matter-of-fact way these authors tackle the Lifestyle and all the facets of life it touches. From power exchange to interpersonal relationships, the opinions and expectations of others to self worth, these authors bravely put it all out there in print. I’ve had a special place in my heart for Will from the very first time we met him. When I started reading this story, I was concerned that I wouldn’t be satisfied with the ending my precious Will was going to get. I should know better than to doubt these authors. They made me a believer. And by the end, I was so firmly invested in Will and Ruby and Nathan’s happy ever after, I was crying their tears. I’m not sure where this series is going to take us next, but I am so ready to go for that ride.

Realistic - Grit and Beauty

Oh, Ruby. The things she gets herself into! First there's Bob. Then along came Will. But don't look now! Here comes Nathan! Her relationships with each man changes over time with a solid friend being discovered and a love Ruby never believed she'd have.

There's a lot to like about this book. It's very realistic and gives an honest, sometimes gritty, sometimes beautiful, picture of life, love, and the pursuit of... well, trying to not be miserable. Perhaps to even be happy.

The characters are all flawed and slowly recognize and admit some of their flaws to themselves and each other. Thing's get messy, even painful on occasion. They all have stubborn streaks - something I like especially with a D/s relationship. Of course, there's the hot kink that brings it all together.

Ruby isn't the only one to find an HEA or the hint of something special. Jewel, and Ruby, makes peace with the past and there's something in the air for Rebecca.

It's nice to visit old friends from prior books but this book could standalone. I will say that if you plan to read the earlier books, it might be better to read them in order because there will be spoilers otherwise. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Ruby has been a member of Club Indigo for quite a while. Lately she's played with Will quite often. She has feelings for him, but if all he wants to do is play she's okay with that for now One night a new guy walks in. Wow he's gorgeous and once they play together she realizes she would like to play with him again. Only problem is, the 2 men can't stand each other. Things in her life are very confusing right now and she just needs them. Can they do it? As usual, this Club Indigo book is good. Hot read.

I love the Club Indigo series, and all of the relationship permutations that Karen Nappa brings to the genre (so far M/F, FFM, and now MMF). Often in ménage books, the two men involved have plenty of experience topping women together, but in this case, it's about three independent people coming together to find love. I like the psychological/interpersonal depths Nappa gives to her characters, and Ruby is no exception. This is a great book in a great series.

A very enjoyable read, great story and wonderful characters
Ruby is a wonderful character in this book and you will be totally engrossed by the storyline and also on the details regarding characters I have read about in previous books and this all added to the book.
Ruby is a submissive that enjoys being a member if the Club Indigo in an environment where submissive are able to experience their kinks in a safe and consensual place with Dom’s and also enjoy the security of knowing there are people ensuring that partnerships are going well whilst at the club.
Ruby has been scenes regularly with Will and the starts to have sessions with a new member Nathan and it is apparent that this is causing tension between the three of them, they are also becoming possessive and this is something she dislike so stops with both Dom’s.
Nathan and Will have to realise that they will have to overcome their jealously otherwise they will lose Ruby and the possibility of a permanent relationship.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing

I love that I was given another opportunity to read the newly re edited version of this story and loved that it still gave me the same emotions now as it did then…
Ruby a submissive at Club Indigo has scened with club master of the ropes Will but has also caught the eye from new Dom Nathan..who likes to take Ruby to the edge and Ruby likes both of them but there is a little bit of tension between Nathan and Will that threatens the possibility of a relationship between them..
I loved that they worked it over and I would have loved to know more of the men than was revealed but for me it is still a good read.

Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were interesting. Ruby is a tattooist and a submissive at Club Indigo. Will is a Dom who plays with shibari (rope play). Nathan love playing with chemical impact and other kinks. Ruby is enjoying playing withboth males will she be able to have the two males together or are they not into sharing a female. It was hot and steamy, fast-paced, drama, pleasure, desire, spicy and lust.

As expected this is another wonderful Club Indigo read by Karen Nappa. I received a ARC copy of Conflicted and have chosen to leave this review. Ruby is a force to reckoned with and the journey includes two very different dominant men with their own issues. The character development coupled with the emotional intensity and erotic activity threaded through the book make this an outstanding read from the opening lines. As with all of the Club Indigo books this a power exchange and BDSM focused journey. If those things light your fire then grab this book and settle in for a great read. If they are not this might not be for you. If you are new to Karen Nappa and Club Indigo I would suggest you also read the other books in the series.

Non-linear Love story

This seventh book in the Club Indigo brings us Ruby’s story with Will (who we always hoped she’d fall for) and Nathan (who’s new to the series. I always enjoy Karen Napa’s Club Indigo books, so I had high hopes for this one. However, the story faded to black at times when I wished it wouldn’t have. Also, Will and Nathan did not get the same screen time as Ruby. I felt like I hardly knew Nathan at all until the very end, and Will didn’t get his own solo screen. I loved that this was more than a romance (there’s lots about Ruby’s family and life), but I also wish there was more romance (I know, I’m fickle). Overall, a great read.

Our heroine is kind of indecisive, so instead of picking one...

This is book seven in the series but it works just fine as a stand alone. Everything you need to know is laid out early on.

This is something of an erotic romance story featuring BDSM and FFM menage. The story is well written and easy to read with a good, solid cast of characters. Something about this one just didn't click for me as well as the previous book, but it was still highly enjoyable. It certainly helped that there was plenty of steam to go around. Overall, an very good addition to the series.

Recommended.

Excellent story about a woman who was raised by a single mother and an absent father, only to learn that maybe the absence of her father wasn't all his fault. Ruby loves going to Club Indigo, but she is looking for a connection like the others in the club have recently made. She has been scening with Will, but he doesn't want everything she does in BDSM. She meets Nathan, but he and Will have a past. They eventually work everything out, and it is a wonderful story. I don't think I've ever read anything by this author that I haven't loved!

Ruby enjoys going to a BDSM club. She has been a submissive with Will and Bob. She met Nathan at a munch. A munch is a get together for potential BDSM members to see if they want to join the club. Nathan sees Ruby at the club and wants to play a scene with her. And, things go wild from there. This is the seventh book but a standalone.

This is the 7th book in the series but it can be read as a stand-alone. Ruby loves to play at Club Indigo and Will and Nathan both give her what she needs but can they share her? Fast-paced read with sizzling scenes, loads of drama, emotion and steam. I liked it.

There is a lot happening in this story. It starts with a confusing information dump involving secondary characters from other books in series (this book is billed as a stand-alone but reading the other books first would help). Finally, Ruby takes center stage, and her story gets under way. Ruby is worried about her mother, Jewel, who is traumatized after being mugged and fearful because the muggers are still at large. Jewel also wants to bring Ruby’s estranged father back into their lives, which Ruby does not welcome. As a not-very-submissive sub at Club Indigo, Ruby is involved with Will and Nathan, two dominants who fight over her when they are not engaged in a threesome with her. Ruby is getting counsel from a therapist who is also a switch at Club Indigo. Oh, and the police detective who is investigating the attack on her mother is also a member at Club Indigo. So, Ruby is indeed conflicted about a lot of things. It all gets resolved but not always convincingly. The dynamics between Will and Nathan seem improbable whether they are fighting with each other or tag-teaming Ruby. And when the truth about Ruby’s father is revealed, it smacks of “idiot plotting,” i.e. when a story line only works because the characters act like idiots. This is not the best book by Karen Nappa but it is still quite good and a hot read.

This latest addition to the Club Indigo series can be read completely standalone, so don't worry if you haven't read any of the others. This story features characters we've already been introduced to (Ruby, Will) along with new (Nathan). I loved that this book had 2 guys commencing a poly relationship with a woman and things don't automatically run smoothly. This story felt very realistic, which I loved. I also liked seeing more of Bob and hope he gets his own story soon.

Once again, Karen Nappa has crafted a story about a dynamic group of characters. Ruby is a tattoo artist who is a submissive at Club Indigo. She loves scening with Will, but his penchant for ropes does not leave her satisfied. She wants more. When she meets Nathan at a munch, she is immediately attracted to him. She continues to scene with both men individually, but between their male posturing and her own guilt, it is not working as well as it could. The three of them need to figure it out. Meanwhile, Ruby's father, who has never been a part of her life, is trying to get in touch, and her feelings are complicated. She wants to make her mother happy, but protect her own heart from the man who was not there when she needed him.
The beauty of this story is that while it all works out in the end, the finale does not feel rushed or over simplified. It is as imperfect as human nature, and relatable. The authors are masters at their craft.

Ruby is a great character, she has issues but still goes after what she wants. She belongs to Club Indigo and has been playing with Will and he uses ropes but she wanted something more. Then Nathan comes to the club and she plays with him. They get jealous and she does not play with either. This is more than just a D/s BDSM story. We have the interactions with the two men, and she has issues with her father. Her father wants to get in touch with her but he was never around. This is also about relationships in all and different forms. The loved the characters and the solutions that they found. Great book great characters and an interesting story line.

★ Good steamy read ★

—>>> Review Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars - This was my first read in this series, and it was a good steamy read as the Doms Will and Nathan both battle their unresolved rivalry towards each other and their growing possessiveness and attraction for Ruby. Enjoyed the secondary cast of characters as well at Club Indigo.

This is a complex love triangle romance resulting in a longterm MfM relationship. It is detailed with many moving parts and thoroughly engaged secondary characters.

It is told from three points of view, though mainly the female lead - I would have enjoyed more from the males’ perspectives - and is well written. I enjoyed reading it but got to the end feeling like it had moved really fast and I hadn’t quite expected it to be over yet. It felt like it resolved too fast for the complexity of the issues at hand

Ruby, a tattooist and submissive at Club Indigo wants more. Although she enjoys playing with Will, a Dom who's kink is shibari, she wants more variety. Enter Nathan, a new member of the club, who enjoys chemical, impact, and other kinks. What's a girl to do? How this unlikely trio evolves is a compelling story that's steamy, well written, and a fast paced read. I'm now adding the entire Club Indigo series to my TBR list. Great Read

A good menage book will have an actual story to go along with the steamy times and Conflicted has both. Ruby enjoys a good time as much as anyone, but finds Will isn't able to meet all of her needs, Bob is too much of a switch and then there is newcomer, Nathan. Each is unique in the their preferences and Ruby will need to make a choice. I loved how Ruby was true to herself and knew what she needed for her own happiness and wasn't willing to settle. Good ending.

Book seven in the Club Indigo series a well written story that held my interest until the end. What a steamy hot novel! Ruby is such a cool character, and is totally loved by everyone. Add in counselling Bob, adorable Will and brooding, Nathan, and this story is entertaining to read! I was wondering who she would end up with in the end, and it didn't disappoint.

Why choose?

This is Ruby, Will, and Nathan’s story but also brings another couple their happy ending. I think you should read Diamonds and Rubies first, if you haven’t already. Although this short story isn’t necessary to understand Conflicted —Club Indigo 7 is truly a stand alone in series— this little gem (LOL) give so much more insight in Ruby’s parents, and had me rooting for them in this story.
That said, Conflicted is a typical Karen Nappa: mature characters, with normal jobs, physical appearances, and with their own flaws and quirks; diversity in BDSM practices and scenes; and last but not least the kinky and sexy times enhanced the story and the relationship.
I can’t describe how happy I was when Will and Nathan finally stopped fighting each other and decided to fight for her!

What a fantastic read I really loved the characters personalities especially Ruby strong will sassy self! With the two guys I feel like she got the best of both worlds in a way cause what Will couldn’t give Nathan could. I would definitely love this if I was Ruby but I totally understand the title of this wonderful story. As I was reading I felt like I had some conflict vibes like her with everything that was happening in Ruby life. The crazy back and forth between Will and Nathan was annoying it felt like it happened at the worst possible time when she needed them the most. I especially loved the friendship between Scott and Ruby it’s so unique in my opinion! I felt like he is the only person she could completely talk freely to about anything. Plus with his personality I think people underinvested his ability to know how to handle things in the best way. This book I feel like covers a lot of emotions, uncertainty, mystery and so much more can’t wait for more amazing stories! I had such a great time reading this well detailed story even through all the ups and downs. Plus the ending was something magical and well deserved!

I'll confess, I have avoided duets as I thought (wrongly) that a Duet would be the same couple/story but either a continuation or differing viewpoint. I actually looked up the definition before beginning this one and, as it turns out, a Duet(or duology) is actually just a 2-book series, completely different couple with maybe a setting or friends in common.

As with all of Karen Nappa's books, they are not BDSM how-to manuals but give a fascinating glimpse of the lifestyle (whether factual or fiction, I don't have the experience to say but interesting nonetheless.

That being said, the book is all about the relationship between Will, Nathan and Ruby, each of whom have their private issues and traumas to work through, with enough background to enjoy the story. While they meet early on, the actual forming of the triad doesn't begin until well in. You even get a touch of Ruby's parents story...

5*s: Life’s a Mix of Sun and Clouds - I am a Karen Nappa fan and I pick up everything she writes and releases. Conflicted is a beautiful story that captures the challenges and joys of Menage / Poly relationships. Nathan and Will are 100% devoted to Ruby but unsure about the threesome relationship. Ruby is the product of her mother (Jewel) and a absent father (rockstar) Luke. I always appreciate how Karen Nappa's characters are always seasoned enough to bring maturity and their histories of challenges, successes, and / or trauma to the story. It's always a pleasure to return to Club Indigo. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone, and yet it's always a pleasure to catch up on the lives of characters introduced in previous books. Is this the end of the series? Is there a spinoff in our future? I really want Scott to have his own story.

Review of advance copy received from Author
April 13, 2026
Newly re-edited and re-released as the 2nd book in the Menage at Club Indigo Duet, Conflicted is a fast-paced and entertaining love story. While Will and Ruby have shown up as side characters in previous Club Indigo books, Nathan is a newcomer and I would have liked to have gotten a bit more background to make it easier to relate to him. Their romance is a bit of a whirlwind, with a number of sub-plots that add drama, but also dilute the passionate menage just a bit. The author's trademark kinky scenes, very intriguinly described, as well as a lot of family drama and past trauma, make this a very worthwhile read. I received an early copy and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.

I really enjoyed the story about Ruby and her two men Will and Nathan. Ruby liked both men, but she was conflicted because one fulfilled one need, and the other filled the other need. If she could just combine the two men together, they would fulfil her in all ways. Then it was suggested to her to share and this is where the problems begin. I like the way they resolve their issues and how eventually they were able to communicate and all of their needs and were fulfilled. There is a happy ending for everyone, including her mother and father.

I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and I am reviewing with my honest and fair opinion.
