Grace Madison was living her dream as a professional ballerina, then with one fall, her future suddenly wasn’t so certain. So, when her parents suggest she escapes to Kenshaw, Alaska to stay with her Great Aunt and start her own dance studio, she’s skeptical but open to whatever fate has in store for her--starting with learning more about the intriguing, handsome, yet somewhat quiet man who can barely utter a word to her.
Huxley Reid lives and breathes the Homestead life on Bear Mountain--it’s where he’s always felt at home. But his inability to speak to women has severely affected his dating options and concerns him to no end. How is a man who turns mute in front of a beautiful woman supposed to answer the mountain’s call? .
When the new dance teacher arrives in town, Huxley’s reaction tells him he won’t have long to figure it out. The call is here, and he needs to answer it before Grace’s old life returns to tempt her away from the mountain--and him.
With that in mind, Huxley vows to overcome his fear, untie his tongue, and get to know Grace. But it’s easier said than done.
Lucky for Huxley, Grace can talk enough for the both of them. And if she can just hang in there long enough, she might just find there’s a rough, tough mountain man waiting for her under that stoic exterior. And Huxley just might find the courage to go after what he wants. Because if he’s doing this, he’s only doing it once. There’s a first time for everything, right?

Dancer Seeks Mountain Man is Book 5 of the new Bear Mountain Brothers series. They're the same kind of sweet, flirty, instalove stories you love from Moose Mountain, but this time you'll get the big, gruff and tough founding sons of the Bear Mountain Homestead living their lives on Moose Mountain's neighboring cousin near the town of Kenshaw. The mountain has always provided for its keepers, and now the Bear Mountain prophecy has been fulfilled, it's time for their soul mates to warm up their cold mountain hearts and complete their mountain lives forever. Can we all say, awww.
This book is about Grace and Huxley. She’s a ballerina that has been injured, and is no longer able to dance professionally. Understandably, she’s not dealing with that huge life change very well. She’s not even going to rehab, and her mum is really starting to worry about her daughter. Her mum implores her to share her gift of dance by teaching it. She’s even found the perfect place to do this, escaping life as she knows it for a brand new start – it’s with her aunt Mary (AKA Meena) all the way up in the small town of Kenshaw in Alaska. She relents and agrees to go, and it’s a wonderful opportunity for her talent to create new dreams.
Huxley is in bond trading but helps his friends Mason and Miller with the carpentry work they do. They’re currently working on Paige’s bakery together, and as they’re sitting on the floor indulging in some of her baked goods, Huxley gets a strange sensation which he doesn’t understand… that is until Grace walks into that very bakery. He was rendered absolutely speechless as he took her in – his social anxiety had really kicked up a notch! But Grace also felt something weird course through her body when she locked eyes with Huxley. Despite the two literally not speaking a word to each other, there was an undeniable connection there!
Grace uses her initiative and takes the first step of getting to know him, and taking him out of his comfort zone a little bit. She’s genuinely friendly, kind and interested, and their interactions are so incredibly sweet! I wanted to hug them both, shouting “awwww!” Hux also feels comfortable enough to let his guard down and it washes away some of those insecurities of his. Those text messages made me both swoon and squirm ;) What comes is a beautiful and somewhat innocent courting that turns into great passion and a true love.
As with all of the books in this authors’ series, this one is sweet, emotional, funny, adventurous and steamy. The characters are all so endearing, and openly invite you into their lives. I can never get enough of them, so my (almost) only gripe is that the stories actually (have to) come to an end. But I always look forward to revisiting them in subsequent books. In this book, I loved the hilarious nature of Mary. She has such an amazing ‘joie de vivre’ that was so contagious! I’d happily join her at that retirement home she envisaged! I give this book four and three quarter fantasy stars.

Grace was a professional ballerina until an accident ended her career. She has been depressed that she will no longer live her dream as a principal ballerina since her injury prevented her from fully recovering. Then, her parents try to convince her to move to Kenshaw so she can start her dance school. Huxley is a stock and bond trader and he is one of the founding sons who takes care of the Bear Mountain through sustainable living. He also helps in doing carpentry work with Mason and Miller. Suddenly, someone knocks and a beautiful woman enters to hire some workers to build her a dance studio. He is a quiet and a shy person which is why it is difficult for him to socialize especially when it comes to women. He is mesmerized by the beauty of the woman that made him unable to speak to her. As Grace walks inside the bakery, her eyes are drawn to a quiet man who tries to hide himself from her. She finds him interesting and she wants to know him better. She makes the first initiative to talk to Huxley and when they hold each other's hands, she feels the sparks from it. They exchanged numbers and she told him about her life. Huxley went to a meeting at the Den where it was announced that his The One has been called and he knows that it is Grace since she is a dancer. His attraction towards her is so strong and he feels so happy whenever they spend their time together. They are texting each other and he asks her to be his date for the bakery's grand opening. Grace feels the strong connection to Huxley as her heart beats faster. She learns that the Call is meant to bring the soulmate of the person and it is the mountain spirit's reward for taking care of their community in Bear Mountain. She tries to engage Huxley to talk by sending him a text message so he could express himself easily. Grace has a cheerful personality, kind, friendly, sociable, passionate, talented, understanding, patient, talkative, and determined woman. Huxley is a smart, shy, quiet, strong, hard working, honest, caring, and dedicated man. I love the banter between them and I like how drunk Huxley is so adorable. They have a strong chemistry and I love how they are perfect for each other. I enjoyed reading the story and the character development of Huxley as he spends more time with Grace. I love how Grace and Huxley
Grace was a ballerina on her way to New York City as top ballerina for American Ballet Theater, when she was knocked down by another dancer tearing her ACL ending her career as a professional dancer. It took her a year to get where she was able to walk normally with a knee brace. She fell into a state of depression that her parents wanted to change, so they convinced her to go to Kenshaw, Alaska to live with her great aunt Meena and open a dance studio. Her great aunt had already gotten an old church building in town for the dance school, so Grace's first job was to find carpenters to convert it into what she needs. For this she seeks out Mason and Miller from the Homestead at Bear Mountain which Huxley happens to be with them that day working at the new bakery. The second Grace walks in the door at the bakery it seems like time stops for Grace and Huxley as their eyes are immediately drawn to each other and the room was filled with electricity. Huxley knew the the mountain had called him, but what he was going to do was another question. You see, he had social anxiety, but he knows what the call means and he does everything he can to met the challenge. Grace was such an open, enthusiastic woman clearly drawn toward Huxley, it was easier for her to approach him to break the ice. Then they texted for a while moving forward at a slower pace getting to know each other. Like every couple they had their ups and downs. The story had one other exciting surprise as Gandalf received his call from the Mountain too. This was a very special story in that both Huxley and Grace had some sort of challenge to overcome in their lives to be together. It was such a uplifting positive story to read.

Like the other books in this series, this book features a sweet and steamy romance between a hot, brawny mountain man and the woman the mountain has selected to be his “one”. The flirty banter and the hilarious inebriation scenes are a great addition to this entertaining story. Socially awkward Huxley is shocked by the rush of sensations he feels when the town’s new dancer instructor, Grace, enters the room. When he discovers that it is indeed his turn to hear the Call, (a soul deep attraction between two people the spirit of the mountain has called or decided to be life mates), he worries how it will work if he can’t talk to her. His shyness and awkwardness when he meets people, especially women, leaves him tongue-tied and stuttering or unable to talk. Grace feels the same sensations when she is near Huxley, but his habit of fleeing or staying silent is concerning. Who knew that losing her pro dancing career would lead her to this small mountain town in Alaska where she unexpectedly feels at home and to a man that literally makes her heart race and her feel more alive than ever before. They don’t try to fight the Call, but they must find a way to deal with his awkwardness and shyness. Just as they seem to finally have everything figured out, a surprising opportunity arises that may change everything between them.
This book also offers readers a chance to catch up with characters from previous books, which makes this story even more enjoyable. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Grace Madison watched as her dreams of being a ballerina for the American Ballet Theatre lay in tatters at her feet after an accident. It’s been a tough year but she is now able to walk with the help of a brace but she has been sinking further and further into depression so her parents conspire to send her to her aunt in Alaska in the hope of her opening a dance studio in the little town of Kershaw. They have a venue but it needs some restoration and she is feeling more positive than she has done in twelve months and the day that she meets Huxley everything changes and she feels like she is home. She is sure that he feels everything that she does but when he keeps running from her could they have a future?
Huxley has heard about the call of the mountain for his entire life but when Grace arrives and he finally feels everything that the legend is all about he is faced with a dilemma of epic proportions. Hux has suffered with anxiety and is terribly shy, but he is determined to overcome this and finally have a love and life that he had only dreamed of up until now. But when a new opportunity comes for Grace will he lose his soulmate?
Love these books and would recommend them if you love mountain men, independent heroines and want something to read that will make you smile from start to happily ever after. These characters are so fun and cute and loved how Hux and Grace’s relationship grew. 4.5*
Marley Michaels consistently delivers amazing, well-written, poignant and sexy romance, and the latest novel in the Bear Mountain Brothers series is no exception. Huxley just may be the swooniest of the Homestead founding brothers. Stricken with social anxiety, Hux can barely string two words together when he's in the company of a beautiful woman - but when he first lays eyes on new-to-town dancer Grace, he is completely rendered speechless. However, Grace feels the same pull to the gorgeous homesteader and bonds trader - and carpenter - and as she gets to know the brothers while they renovate her new dance studio, she finds ways to make communicating with Huxley easier for him, instead of writing him off as some might. Huxley and Grace are sheer magic together, and watching Hux turn from barely being able to speak to saying the most wonderfully romantic - and at times, dirtier than sin - things to the woman the Mountain has called for him, is a beautiful thing to see.
This series just keeps getting better and better, a true testament to the amazingly creative and talented mind of the incomparable Marley Michaels.

# 5 in the Bear Mountain series. Huxley & Grace's story. An extrovert and an introvert can balance, compliment, each other in a dance as complicated as any on a stage.
Huxley suffers from social anxiety that has made speaking to others, especially girls/women, extremely difficult. Family, no problems. A pretty girl...yikes. When he sees Grace he is struck by her beauty, his reaction and ultimately his anxiety. I feel for this character as my own child also has social anxiety, but to a much less degree.
Grace has always wanted to be a Prima ballerina and is on her way until an accident, and broken bones, destroys that dream. After receiving a well deserved kick in the pants from family she decided to open a dance school as far away as possible from NY. And only lightly regrets it.
Their dance of figuring out they are fate mates and need each other to support and love themselves and each other is entertaining, steamy, cute and sexy. Enjoy.
The whole fated mate, the Mountain's call, is a wonderful base to all these series. Each book is wonderful on it's own, and I love the epilogues of 5 & 10 years down the line. Enjoy

Oh, the heat is HOT, and the physical chemistry is captivating so be careful you may just get burned all the heat coming off these pages. There were some "oh no" "oh wow" " what the what" moments and add in uncanny mishaps, and shenanigans the good kind that makes you keep turning the pages till last page has been turned. This is book five of the series with sexy mountain men and the queens that bring them to their knees the best thing about the books in this series they all read as standalone books. Huxley is this sexy, amazing guy but suffers with crippling social anxiety especially around the beautiful dancer Grace but the intense pull they both feel. Grace is or was a ballerina until she got hurt and moves Kenshaw to open a dance studio since she can’t live her dream, she can teach it to young girls. Grace is Huxley’s soulmate the mountain promised but will he find the courage to speak to her, will she accept him for who he is and is the mountain correct in these two getting a HEA?
This is book five of the Bear Mountain Brothers series. You can read this as a standalone but I really recommend that you read the first four books. I'd have to say this is my absolute favorite book of the series. Huxley and Grace's story is steamy, heartwarming, and entertaining. Huxley is a great guy but he suffers from crippling social anxiety. When Grace is in the same room, he finds it very difficult to speak to her but he feels the pull of attraction to her. Grace has moved to Kenshaw to open a dance studio after her dream of being a dancer on stage is crushed by an accident. Could being a dance teacher in Alaska and Huxley be her new dream? Huxley's pretty sure Grace is the soulmate the mountains brought to him but how can he connect with his soulmate if he can't talk to her?

This book rocks! The next of the founding sons of Bear Mountain gets his One in this story and it's Huxley. The shy and socially awkward mountain man will meet his forever when Grace walks into Paige's new bakery looking for Mason and Miller. She needs carpenters to fix up the place where she is going to have her dance studio. Their journey is a bit bumpy as Paige thinks Grace is there for Mason and Huxley can't even manage to say a word to her. Time will ease his anxiety and they will grow closer the more time they spend together. She will get a call from home that will give them another bump to go over but in the end, Huxley will get to experience the full joy of the mountain's Call that brought his One to him.

This one wasn't as drama filled as the others, but it still packs an inspiring punch. But I will say there was one scene that had me in stitches.
Huxley is a real sweetheart, plagued by not being able to speak to newcomers but blessed with the ability to make people a bucket of money. Huxley was next in line to find his soul mate, and lucky for him, she danced her way to the mountain and into his heart.
Grace is a dancer by heart and was destined to make it big until the unthinkable happens, and now she finds herself lost and trying to put her life back together. Staying with her grandmother in Kenshaw, Grace was not expecting to fall hard and fast for the silent Huxley, and when her destiny comes calling, there is only one choice for her.
After an accident Grace moves to Alaska to start a dance school and encounters Huxley.Ballerina Grace Madison finds herself facing a future where she must start anew after an accident damages her knee. After moping around her family home her mother tells her that they have arranged for her to stay with her Aunt Meena with a view to starting a dance school in an old church hall and that her flight is the next morning. So she finds herself headed for Kenshaw Alaska. Huxley Reid is helping his cousins with the alterations in the Bakery when in walks a beautiful woman looking for his cousins and his heart stars to race and he know she is here for him as he is feeling the effects of the Call.

She ends up in Kenshaw, Alaska and as Grace is doing the talking maybe Huxley can catch up. The mountain has supplied his woman but he needs to go after her. The prophecy has been fulfilled and his soul mate is finally here. I love this series and the Moose Mountain series. If you get a chance to read this series you won't be disappointed. I’m so in love with Huxley! While not your traditional mountain man, in really any traditional sense, other than living on the Homestead, on “a mountain”, he is an enigma that is truly endearing. Marley Michaels has created not just one, but two towns full of these incredible characters that protect their mountains and have the most amazing journeys to their happily ever after. Hux and Grace are not like any other couple to date and I love them even more for it. The only bad part about this book was the end...the fact that it ended! Lol now I have to wait for another “trip” back to the mountain. Love these books!!!

Grace moves to Alaska to stay with her aunt Meena after she suffers a knee injury that put her ballet career out of sight. Huxley, one of the Homestead Sons, and the twins, end up helping her set up a dance studio in town. Takes a while for Huxley to be comfortable talking to Grace, but the feelings and emotions were there from the start, each of them feeling the call. The characters and storyline were terrific. The twists and miscommunication cause a few problems, but nothing like seeing your aunt at the sacred spring with Gandalf. Call times two, eh? Very well done and can not wait for the next storyline.

Grace lived being a dancer but hurt her knee and can not dance professionally anymore. She moves to Kenshaw to stay with her aunt Menna and look after her. Grace plans to open her own dance studio called Twinkle toes for children. She starts a relationship with Huxley . Huxley is a bit shy and doesn't talk much at first but he gets better. I think it's great how the mountain calls couples together in this book and they know once they have met the one. A wonderful book. I love how well the characters get on with each other and how comfortable they are with each other. Such a great book. I can't wait to read the next one.

Huxley was one of the founding brothers of Bear Mountain waiting for his One that the Mountain Spirit would bring to him. He was shy and awkward in social settings especially around women. Grace was a promising and talented ballerina until she was in an unfortunate accident between her and another dancer and her knee was ruined. Grace was sent to her aunt in Alaska to help with her recovery and mental state. When Grace and Huxley first saw each other the call of the mountain hit them and their fun and exciting adventure began as Grace worked out if she would stay on the mountain or not and then the mountain surprised them with another match of a Promised One. Fun read

What a fantastic story. I loved how both Huxley and Grace accepted the call of the mountain so quickly. Grace was the perfect woman for Hux with his social anxiety that caused him to go mute when meeting new people. I loved how she worked around his inability to talk to her and the hot sexy times. Boy, oh boy. You will need a cold drink while reading how Huxley loses his virginity. The laughter that burst out of me at times while reading this story. Well worth reading. I’m just happy that they had their HEA and they learn that Jake will hear the call next.

This book is about Grace and Huxley. Grace is a ballerina who has been injured and unable to dance professionally. She is wallowing in self pity when her parents think it would be good for her to spend time with her great aunt in a small Alaskan mountain town. It is here she meets Huxley, a shy, smart, socially awkward mountain man. This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone book. It is hot and steamy and is an insta romance. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I couldn’t put it down.

This one was a bit different from the previous stories. Huxley isn't as confident and has to work through things before he is able to move forward, which gives them a slower start, built more on texting. The texting aspect isl more relatable to what dating is like nowadays so it gave it a realistic feel to that part of the story. The slower pace also means it isn't over as fast as previous stories. Really a good story about moving forward. My only pet peeve is that you have to hear the story of the call again, which anyone who has read even a couple books in the story already knows at this point.

Grace Madison was a ballerina whose injury destroyed her dancing career. She moved to Alaska to open a dance studio instead and meets Huxley Reid who is beyond shy and awkward speaking to a woman. But this is the woman he is convinced the mountain called to be his.
Huxley loves the Homestead life he lives on Bear Mountain and he needs to get over his shyness before someone from her old life steals her away. This is his one chance. As for Grace, she quickly falls for the quiet, handsome Huxley! Can Huxley find the courage to claim the woman he loves? Can they find their HEA? Or will another steal her away?
It’s time - the mountain has made her call. Grace the Dancer seeks mountain man Huxley in book five of the Bear Mountain Brothers Series. The characters are down home believable and likable. Huxley is so horribly shy around females it takes him forever to be able to loosen up to talk with Grace, but he knows and feels “The Call”; Grace recognizes this so she doesn’t have a problem taking the lead until Huxley is ready. Such a wonderful fun, witty, journey along the way as they seek out their HEA. I Absolutely Love this series. Very anxious for Jakes story in Teacher Seeks Mountain Man. I received an Advance Reader's Copy and am voluntarily leaving my honest thoughts and opinions.
Dancer Seeks Mountain Man is the fifth book in Marley Micheals` Bear Mountain Brothers with a slow build to a wonderful, feel good story. Grace and Huxley’s interactions are very much in line with today’s society as there is an abundance of texting that keeps them in touch as Huxley has anxiety issues which cripple his social skills. As the story progresses you can’t help but fall in love with these unique characters and the very real issues that hinder their romance. A well-written storyline that will resonate with many readers for its emotional and true-life aspects.

I really enjoyed Grace and Huxley's story. It was nice to have a little less drama with this one and I really liked them both, plus learning more about Meena was fun! Still loving the interplay with Mason, Miller, Huxley and Jake and really feel for Miller who is still waiting for the call! Looking forward to more from the mountain men on the homestead. Another well written story with characters you can care about. A nice diverting read for a quiet afternoon.

Okay, I have to admit, having not read any of the other books by this author, I was a bit skeptical about the idea of the mountain's call and this group of men being the keepers of the mountain. But I loved how well everything seemed to flow. While clearly there were characters that were from other stories, this one was a standalone and you got the whole story along with information about the Homestead and the other residents if you hadn't experienced the books before. I very much enjoyed this one and look forward to reading more from this author.

This is part of the Bear Mountain series and all the books so far are wonderful. They are warm and witty and have great characters this one is no exception. Grace goes to Alaska after an injury and opens a dance studio. Huxley gets tongue tied around women and is afraid if he does not make his move Grace may leave. Huxley needs to work through his issues. This is just a great entertaining happy story. I love the mountain and its people. I really loved how Grace moved ahead with this plan and how Huxley over came his fear. Together they are just wonderful.

Awesome book! This is about Huxley and Grace. The mountain has set out the call and this time is on Huxley. Grace has been moping around at home since her accident that has ended her ballet days away, she will never be able to preform on stage, so her mother and father decide to send her to the mountain with her crazy aunt and boy is she in for a treat. She is more forward than Huxley, but they make such a great couple. Huxley does become braver with time; all he needs is that confidence from her and he is a goner.
