Bree finds out the high cost of betrayal. Not knowing who to trust, she realizes that everybody wants her…or they want her dead. Bree finds out there's more to her magic bloodline than she realized. Now she has to make a difficult choice before everyone she loves is taken away.
As the story kept going on, the writing got worse and worse. The dialogue jumps all over the place one-second we’re talking about her feelings for Nikolas in the nuts we’re in the middle of the battle and then back to her feelings. It’s such a good plot but it’s just not produced well. The romance is non existent and it just feels dragged out. Actually, the whole story is dragged. There’s too many pointless chapters like when Bree was at the club talking to her “werewolf” ex, she just kept repeating herself. She kept begging her ex to let her in but then finally used her magic and pushed past him; she could've done that in the first place. I'm only giving this 2 stars because of the interesting plot and if I didn’t want to know the ending, it would've been DNF.
UPDATE...The ending was not worth it, it was anticlimactic.

Sadly, this was the worst of the three books. I kept reading as I really liked the idea of the story. I hoped it would get better, but it did not. The repetition of information is annoying and takes up a lot of the story, which then makes the storyline feel rushed. Small parts gave me hope that the story would improve. The attempt at romance didn't work well it was very forced and added into parts it wasn't necessary (and repetitive)but also overlooked and rushed in areas it would gave worked.
