Ann Marie Scott has written another wonderful book about the magical Highlands. Highlander's Phantom Lass is Gripping and Suspenseful! It weaves a story from beginning to end with threads of intrigue, deception, and revenge and following in love with that someone special. It's a story filled with unforgettable characters that are well thought out and each and everyone of them comes across clearly as their individual personalities become more than just part of the tale, a strong plot brims with tension-building twist, with setting descriptions and action sequences are wonderfully vivid which brings this read together perfectly and will keep you enthralled from the moment you begin the journey with Breta and Will until the very end. With a brawny highlander that is swoon worthy, who has emotional scars and a heroine that is a strong-willed woman determined to prove her worth. I can't wait to read the next in the series.

This story was filled with suspense, adventure and lots of emotion. The characters emotions were described so well that you could feel their heartache. When Breta decided to compete in the games, she didn’t realize that her life would change so quickly. Will has become the second in command for his clan, a warrior to protect the laird and her husband. When he met Breta, he was afraid that the feelings he had for her meant he would have to relinquish his position. Will he be brave enough to fall in love?

Anne Marie writes a story that grabs you from start to finish. It has great action and suspense. It also has great heartache in this story. We get to meet Breta who has always wanted to be a soldier for her clan. We have Will of the McDougal clan who is second in command. He is very serious but is a perfect complement for Breta. He accepts her for who she is. The story is fascinating to read. For it gives you a look into the past and what it was like. One thing Anne Marie mentions is that not many marriages were for love. I find I really enjoy her stories for they are very captivating. J

Highlander's Phantom Lass: A Steamy Scottish MediaevaL Historical Romance

I love a story about a feisty woman who knows what she wants to do and goes after it, trying to have an opinion on her own future. Breta was a very smart young lady who had worked hard to develop her talents and now was the chance to show them off, even if she had to go incognio. It was staying that way after she got there will be the hard part, and staying away from her father. This was a 👍GREAT READ!!!!

The warrior's heart is captured by a wayward lass.

Why is the lass masquerading as a lad at the highland games? Instead of turning her over to her Laird, who is also her dad, Will allows Breta to participate in the highland games. The fiesty lady challenges the warrior at every turn until their lives are at stake during a fierce attack. Their new found love saves them and catapults them into romance.

Warrior of my heart.

This book by Ann Marie Scott is a gem. A must read. What do you do when you want the world and you are female? You fight for it! Will she or won't he? So full of intrigue I couldn't put it down.

Very boring I found it hard to finish

This book only got 2 stars because it had potential. Yawn is all I can say I can’t even believe I finished it. The writing was average and the characters boring, there was no depth to the story.

Awesome writing

I really enjoyed this book!! The characters are well written. The only thing missing is who started the battle and finding them. Unless its in your next book. Thank you for the good read!!

Good

Unlike many of this authors books this one really stood out. Characters all had parts they fulfilled, the story through mysteries at the reader that are still unsolved and keep us wondering what’s next and when will it be solved

Highlander’s Phantom Lass

Breta is sneaking in the McDougals Highland Games hoping her father wouldn’t notice. Will the second in command is helping her. Author Ann Marie Scott had me laughing and crying at times.

Highlandder’s Phantom Lass - Ann Marie Scot

Find this book quiet good, very understandably written. Was angry at the unfairness of the fighting, but love won the day. I liked the book.
