Dame Agatha Mary Clarissa Christie, Lady Mallowan, DBE (née Miller) was an English writer known for her 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections, particularly those revolving around fictional detectives Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple. She also wrote the world's longest-running play, the murder mystery The Mousetrap, which has been performed in the West End of London since 1952. A writer during the "Golden Age of Detective Fiction", Christie has been called the "Queen of Crime". She also wrote six novels under the pseudonym Mary Westmacott. In 1971, she was made a Dame (DBE) by Queen Elizabeth II for her contributions to literature. Guinness World Records lists Christie as the best-selling fiction writer of all time, her novels having sold more than two billion copies.

This best-selling author of all time wrote 66 crime novels and story collections, fourteen plays, and six novels under a pseudonym in romance. Her books sold more than a billion copies in the English language and a billion in translation. According to Index Translationum, people translated her works into 103 languages at least, the most for an individual author. Of the most enduring figures in crime literature, she created Hercule Poirot and Miss Jane Marple. She atuhored The Mousetrap, the longest-running play in the history of modern theater.

جلسةُ استحضار الأرواح الأخيرة
كلنا يعرف، أن السيدة أجاثا كريستي هي كاتبةٌ ذات صيت في أدب الجريمة... لها شخصياتٌ مشهورة عدة مثل هيريكيول بوارو وهاستنجز... لكن هل تعلم أن ذات السيدة التي كتبت في أدب الجريمة... كتبت في أدب الرعب أيضًا!
حسنًا، حالها كحال السير آرثر دويل... يبدو أن معظم من كتب أدب الجريمة أراد أن يخط البعض في أدب الرعب، فكلاهما به دماء!
بعد هذه المقدمة التي لا بد منها، أُطلعكم أن هذه المجموعة القصصية تحتوي على 20 قصة كتبتها السيدة كريستي على مدار حياتها! 20 قصة لم يسمع عنها بعضكم كانت مفرقة هنا وهناك، تتنوع القصص بين الرعب الكياني، الرعب الدموي والرعب النفسي، وأنواع شتَّى من الرعب... أعجبتني الترجمة جدًّا، فترجمات جُرير بديعة وجميلة، لم يُزِد الكتاب مكتبتي إلَّا بريقًا وترتيبًا... فهو مقسم إلى القصص إضافةً لجزء المراجع، حيث يخبرك متى كتبت كريستي تلك القصة وفي أي جريدة نُشِرَت.
كما قلت، قصص جيدة... ربما ليست رائعة تمام الروعة، لكنها متنوعة ومتباينة، وما أسعدني أكثر هو ظهور بوارو في بعضٍ منها.

قصص قصيرة مرعبة، ولأول مرة تكتبت أغاثا في أدب الرعب والماورائيات، وهذا ما جذبني لاقتني هذا الكتاب لأرى أسلوب كتابات أغاثا في أدب الرعب، أسلوبها كان جيد ولا بأس به ولكنه ليس رائع كالأدب البوليسي فهي الأفضل بلا منازع في هذا المجال.

اغلب القصص بها تمطيط وسيئة

فاشل جدا لا يليق باسم أجاثا كريستي..ضعيف النهايات ...لا بحمل تشويق ولا رعب ولا غموض ولا المترجم سرد القصص بشكل منمق...ربما استمتعت بقصة او اثنتان ولم ترق لي بشكل كامل
