'Particularly assured writing.' DAILY MAIL Recently widowed, Brigid escapes from Wimbledon to the wilds of Northumberland to housesit for some friends. But her hope of tranquillity is shattered by the unexpected arrival of Simon, her friends' prodigal son. Si has a messianic vision of the New Age; deeply into paganism, healing and sacred energy, he prepares the house for his disciples to appear. Brigid frets over the intrusion into her privacy, but as the seasons pass and both Simon and the neighbours manifest themselves in various unexpected ways, she discovers a side of herself she never knew.

Loved it! Think I might keep it on my bookshelf for a while. Just about to read the Philosophers house by the same author which I noticed was on my TBR pile.
