My god I love this lady.... by which I mean Laurel my favourite author, but Carlyle is a Queen too! Literally!! This book shows us really getting into her Queenly role, and her men doing their best to help her with tasks. And sugar 😉. Our Toro really shines in this book and gets his moment to shine! And we finally find out if we are going to have little Carlyles running round soon!!!

The 4th installment of this spinoff series is NO JOKE! The twist I saw coming came true haha but some things I was like whaaaaaat haha in a good way. Loved what the creature actually was that we got up close and personal with in book 3, I liked how she got Carlyle by herself (even though the stress was super high knowing if the others were ok!!). I love the hints for a certain lion shifter sister and a love interest hehehe, enjoyed the the thought from Carlyle she was gonna have to really do something about a council or something else for Haret and getting more than just her harem involved in helping patrol and protect the realm. The stone part was so clever and the color significance (took me this long to notice the colors go in opposite order from the original series, the ingenuity is spectacular. It's the small details for me!). Book 4 didnt have as much action since this was more the explanatory and getting answers book, I was really close to giving this a 5 stars, but still super enjoyed it and got the rest of the series on audio so I could finish it up in the new year.
Narration again was fab, these 2 are super pros and should be on everyone's auto-listen list for narration. The way they bring the characters to life! I mean I have listened to them a lot on other audiobooks but they do such a great job making these voices their own (especially the male narrator), that the voices are for these characters and these characters alone. I mean not so much with the female narrator, but she does amazing work and has such great timing with her puns and jokes, amazing job.

This novella is the 4th in a follow up series to the main story line, but has just as high a level of action, drama, romance, hot sex, danger, and mystery as the original set of 7 books. Our favorite Quilin and her insanely hot men are still trying to track down the source of the mysterious darkness that is causing some major identity issues for Carlyle.
She's desperately trying to keep from vomiting all over everything, she can't figure out how to help anyone, and suddenly there is a brutal attack on some of Harets citizens. Then just when things seemed like they couldn't get worse, Carlyle is forced to make some decisions that cause her & her guys to be put in some serious danger!
I read this novella in under 2 hours, but I truly couldn't stop reading. I HAD to know what happens! The continuing story line will have you craving more, but leave you satisfied. Now, time to find my merman with his cotton candy....

What a story! The information we find out in the 4th book is mind blowing. It is extremely well written and and of course our characters art magnificently stunning. It is packed with action, drama, suspense, and some beautiful sexy scenes. It has you laughing and crying right along with Carlyle and her mates. It is a story that keeps you glued to the edge of your seat with anticipation. The original series is epic as is these novellas. They keep you engaged and make you feel like you are part of the story. This is an absolute must read and boy I can’t wait to see what happens next time.

This was everything I needed. The story was full of so much action, drama, and suspense. It had amazing chemistry scenes between our Qilin and her men. The plot flowed so smoothly, and had some answers for us finally, even if there are some new questions too. My all time favorite part though was the ending. If you're a diehard fan of this series, you're going to want to read this one! *squee* I cant wait for what's next!

This was everything. I cried, I laughed,and I smiled. This was perfect and everything I wanted. Ugh the steam was amazing and the story itself was so heartwarming. The men really do love Carlyle, like they worship the ground she walks on and she deserves it and adores them back and it was soooo cute!!! I can’t wait for the next one, like gahhhh I loved thisss and I need the next one stat.

Thanks great read pleas tell me its not finished
I've really enjoyed this entire serious of Carlyle and her mates. Hope there will be more to tie up this addicting chronicles story. I'd rank my top favorite read series so far usually enjoy reading them twice over make sure I remember every detail. I enjoy some of your other titles as well so thank u for such great !reading material

Another amazing addition to Carlyles story
I love this series and cast of characters. The riddles they are trying to solve and the world they are trying to heal and build together. Such a riveting story I couldn't put it down.

Let me just saw that I Knew Carly was pregnant 🤰I didn’t know it was with twins though. 😲 the twist, I am looking forward to the rest of the sequels to find out how this happy ending ends. 🤓

The start of something new
Liked her relationship with toro- those scenes were super cool, but the whole her being weak for most of the book was so contrary to her character and were obviously pregnancy symptoms 🤮
