Jesus stopped to set and refill with God, despite the demand. You can too. You don't just have His permission, it is a command. Be still. Sit with Him.
Really inspirational. Great to read a book that encourages rest not constant work, serving, constantly availing yourself to ‘doing good’. Surprisingly engaging and inviting.
Reading the contents of Rest In The Storm was very engaging and enlightening. It is also very REFRESHING! Learning how to serve without feeling like you have to give more than what's required; Yet, still being able to be okay with that, was GREATLY REFRESHING for me.
Furthermore, there's a statement made in the book about, "Just because you're going through a Storm, doesn't mean the Storm has to be in you..." Was refreshing in and of itself. Read this book, with the expectation of truly learning how to: REST IN THE STORM!
Even if you aren't clergy or a caregiver, Rev. Jones's book provides so much insight into how to reach that place of calm within yourself and invaluable measurements to know if you are close to reaching that place. I wish I had read this when I was taking care of my mother. But even now after her passing, this book renews my soul. His wit and humor tears down the walls and motivates the reader to do more. This book is a must-read. Bro. Kirk, you've done it again!
