I'm headed to Germany this fall for an exchange program for my Master's, and I've never studied German before. This audiobook was the perfect intro to the language, and just from listening to one or two chapters a day, I've been able to cover a decent amount of the basics in about a month! The only downside to listening to audiobooks is that you don't get to see the word spelled out, and I am definitely more of a visual learner. However, I just made sure to use to accompanying PDF to go over the vocab that I learned that day and see how it's spelled. Overall, definitely recommend this course for those trying to learn German on the go!

I liked the method, of listening and repeating and trying to learn German “naturally”, by recognizing patterns and similarities with English. Can’t really say my German is much improved , since I only listened to about 20 minutes once a week, but still appreciated it.

I tried learning german online for ages and didn't take in anywhere near as much information as I did with this course.

The course explains german grammar extremely well. Noble also feeds sentences to you piece by piece. As a result by the end you'll be speaking lengthy sentences and having convo's with ease.

As far as language learning books go, this one is for complete beginners and should be accompanied by some knowledge of German cases. You will repeat and repeat and repeat until certain sentences are etched in your skull. Some of those sentences are more random than Duolingo (why do I need to know how to say that I want to kidnap a baby? Or kiss a mother?)

Still, it was a wonderful place to start my language learning journey. I combined it with coffee break German Podcast and some grammar books.
