Liz is from bright sunny Queensland, Australia. She has always been a reader. When she was little she would be up late reading Garfield and Asterix comic books and also Footrot Flats. When she hit high school she read Tomorrow When the War Began by John Marsden and from there, her love of books continued to grow. She always has a book to read beside her bed along with a notebook for when inspiration hits at those crazy hours.
She is a stationary addict and a one-click addict. She loves everything books, authors and of course loves chocolate and lollies to keep her going.
I really enjoyed Something New. This is the second book in the Jilted Series and is Theo and Everleigh's story.
After been jilted at the alter Everleigh and her friend Aubree decide to fly off on Everleigh's honeymoon to Hawaii. On the plane Everleigh meets Theo and they keep each other company before going their separate ways. Once in Hawaii fate steps in and they soon find themselves in each others path, could this be the start of something beautiful or is fate about to throw a spanner in the works.
A sweet read that can be read as a standalone, I look forward to reading more of this series soon.
This is book 2 in the series but it easily stands alone. It features the heroine from the first books brother, Theo in a surprise baby and second chance at love with the families enemies daughter, Everleigh.
The story opens up on Everleigh's wedding day and her groom, Dean is a no show. She is pretty devestated but decides to get away from the drama of a runaway groom by going away with her best friend Aubree on the honeymoon.
Theo, is getting away for a vacation with his friend Brady and during the plane ride he meets Everleigh and he really likes her and asks her to hang out with him on their vacation. Everleigh falls hard for him and she gives him her number so they can keep getting to know each other after the vacation but he never calls and thats when she finds out he left her a parting gift.
This was such a great story. I love both leads and even their friends. I loved how hard Theo falls for Everleigh and how he has to try and contact again by finding her number. I also loved how Everleigh feels about Theo and how its just about how she feels about him and not their families connection.
This was a really fun and sexy romance with a great cast and a fantastic second chance at love. I really enjoyed the first book in the series but I adored this one so much more because Everleigh and Theo were such awesome characters and how fate played a big part in their story.
I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
4 1/2 stars I thoroughly enjoyed the first book, Something Old, in this Jilted series so was looking forward to reading this second book. Right from the very beginning I was hooked into the storyline and loved it until the end. It’s such a feel good story even with the heartache Everleigh went through in the beginning.
The two lead characters are terrific and super easy to like with their easy going personalities. Everleigh I found to be quite realistic and although she’d had a huge blow in her personal life she was determined to move forward. Theo, we met him in book one, I liked from even then and am so pleased he got his story. He is not only a super hunk but caring and compassionate too.
Special mention must go to Aubree, Everleigh’s best friend. Aubree is a card, she is very supportive but encourages Everleigh to move forward too. Honestly, she provides some funny moments. I would love to read her story. Actually, that’s one of the great things about this book, you experience the emotions quite vividly—for a moment in one of the scenes I wanted to whack one character who wasn’t an upfront type of fellow! 😄 Yes, you do get caught up in the story but I think that’s the sign of good writing and the reason for the extra half a star.
This is a fast paced book that leaves you feeling terrific, something we need more of I think. I totally recommend this to anyone who enjoys a romance without a lot of explicit intimacy—very refreshing.
Everleigh is left at the altar when her fiance Dean pulled the run away groom without any explanation. She is devastated but her bestfriend Aubree and her brothers convince her to go on the honeymoon trip anyways. Aubree goes with her on her trip to Hawaii to try to cheer her up and get her mind off of Dean. After crying in the bathroom of the plane she runs into Theo who invites her to sit next to him for some food ,drink and movie to help get her mind off what is upsetting her. They exchange first names and nothing else and have a lovely conversation and connection on the plane not sure if they will ever see each other again. It is quite humorous how they meet up again. Theo is meeting his bestfriend Brady for much needed vacation in Hawaii hoping to unwind and have a good time. Little did he know the girl he met on the plane was the daughter of the family his father was feuding with and are like the "Hatfields and Mccoys". He doesn't care why his parents and her parents were enemies he likes her and wants to know her. As their story continues things become complicated with health issues, lost numbers, misunderstandings, families, broken hearts and a surprise baby. Can they finally find peace and happiness? Will their families put their feud aside? Don't miss out on this must read.
I received an ARC from the author for my honest review. Five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Everleigh was jilted on her wedding day which is so horrible that I wanted to hurt the man. Luckily, she has this amazing bestie named Aubree (who needs her own book hint hint), who goes with her on the honeymoon now turned vacation. She meets Theo, who is also going to the same place with his best friend, on the plane & the connection they feel ends up being the best thing ever. They end up together during this holiday, and she gives him her number while he gives her quite the parting gift. The test is positive, and since he hasn't called her, she doesn't know how to get in touch with him so the anxiety is pretty high especially since she also has to deal with her family. He finally shows up letting her know that he had lost it, and she's a bit skeptical about that, but Theo truly is a good guy so let the new journey take off. Something New is a story that was impossible to put down once I started it, and I didn't want it to end. Anyway, that's enough from me, just get to one clicking on a sweet story that will fill your heart up! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Arc for honest review review , This is the second book in the jilted series but can easily be read alone . I have yet to read the first book , but was still Able to thoroughly enjoy every minute of this awesome story . Theo is a surprise baby / second chance romance . This is Leo’s and EverLeigh’s story . I genuinely loved every minute of this book so much , it’s full of emotional moments , chemistry, and wonderful characters . One of the things I loved most is Is the journey Theo and EverLeigh have to go though to mend their broken hearts and end up with one another . This is about family , finding peace in their lives as well as a surprise and the conflict it causes . Something new was so beautifully written, I cannot recommend it highly enough . I will absolutely be going back to read the first book In the series ❤️💜📚
Everleigh’s wedding day should have been the happiest day of her life however rather than starting her future as a married woman she finds herself still single and taking her honeymoon trip with her best friend. When she meets Theo the sparks fly however she believes that he is just another man who disappointed her when he doesn’t contact her after the vacation as he promised.
When Theo meets Everleigh he knows that she is special and wants to see her again however when losing her number wasn’t making that easy. When he is able to reunite with Everleigh he finds out that she has a surprise of her own and that isn’t the only obstacle they will need to overcome if they are to have a happy ever after.
This is a sweet and swoony romance about two people who met under the most unlikely of circumstances but found the future they were looking for in each other.
I really liked Theo in Scarletts book so i am glad we got his story next.
I love this was a story that was half on holiday and half reality but i felt so much for Everleigh and why she was on her holiday. I really loved Aubree and Brady in this book as well they certainly gave us some entertainment
I loved the instant connection between Theo and Everleigh and they were both such cute characters. I also loved that this story was clean it l just love a simple love story with a little drama. I really loved how Theo was as he was not what I was expecting.
Liz Lovelock did an awesome job with the story and writing for this book and i am really looking forward to book 3 really loving this series
This is the 2nd book in this great series and is Everleigh and Theo’s story. When Everleigh is jilted on her wedding day she and her best friend Aubree take off on the honeymoon trip, and Theo who is going on vacation with her best friend Brady. These two meets on the plane and hit it off, and spend time together, and when they go their sperate ways she gives him her number, but he never calls, only to leave her with a surprise. This is a well written story which is fast paced, and is fun, sweet, entertaining, and a steam 2nd chance love story. I look forward to reading more form this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
What a great feel good book!! From beginning to end this story had me hooked... Everleigh had her heartache at the beginning, a holiday romance and a surprise baby made this story one to remember! Theo was the ultimate bachelor boy, he was hot, alpha but so very sweet. Both Everleigh and Theo wanted out from the shadow of their families... but fate intervened and took them in a new direction neither saw coming!! A sweet, but very romantic second chance love story definitely not one you will want to miss!
Liz Lovelock has done it again! I really enjoyed Something New! Book two in the Jilted Series; Something New tells the story of Theo and Everleigh and their journey to each other through broken hearts, finding peace, family conflicts and a very unexpected surprise. This story was a fun read and I found myself so enthralled that I finished it in one sitting!
I cannot wait to see where Liz takes us next with book three; Something Borrowed.
I have enjoyed reading Theo and Everleigh's journey. From being left at the alter to finding your forever in the friendship of a stranger, while on your getaway that was meant to be honeymoon with your bestfriend to hide away and sort out your life. Sometimes it takes your heart to be broken before you find your true soulmate. This can easily be read as a standalone story. Highly recommended reading.
I really enjoyed this book. Theo and Everleigh's story is a sweet and entertaining read. They basically had to go through something before they meet and get together. I loved the pace their story was going. These two are such awesome characters too and they are amazing together. I can't wait to read more from the series.
I really enjoyed this books. Theo was a lot different than what he was described as. He had more layers than everyone thought. I’m glad he has a better relationship with his father than I the first book.
Highly dramatic start to what is a sentimentally charged read. Found it to be a tad unrealistic in its nature but who doesn’t like a bit of fantasy that includes sparks flying between a hot couple. Whilst the characters quickly drew you in I would have liked a little more depth in the narration.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!! Love the story Love Everleigh & Theo Something New was an addictive read that will have you turning pages to find out more Congratulations Liz Lovelock, you just get better with every book
Just like the title says, a surprise pregnancy but getting there includes a jilted bride, a trip to Hawaii, a chance meeting, and a family secret. Everleigh and Theo are great characters as the series continues.
A fun and sweet story. I loved the characters and connection. The flying sparks. It’s an entertaining read that pulls at your heartstrings. Definitely a must read!!
