Don’t Push Me is a great read. It will have your emotions all over the place. D. A. does a great job of addressing the subject of systemic racism. Even though it is a serious subject matter, one particular scene with Skittles will have you laughing out loud. The ending, “whew”, is all I can say!!! I am anxiously awaiting part two.

Page turner

Don’t push me is a great read especially in today’s world. It opens one’s eyes to systemic racism and it shows how quickly things can get out of hand. I can’t wait to hear more from this author.

Good

Sooo, Um D.A. Bourne has written another great book, but next time just give us the five hundred page novel :). Now I’m supposed to wait. This story deals with a lot of injustices, read for yourself, no spoilers here.

This was a great read about systemic racism. You were easily connected with the characters and their situations. This book will have you experiencing many emotions. I came across a couple of typos but it wasn't enough to take away from the story. We were left with a shocking cliffhanger. I look forward to reading the next book.

The Real Deal

Whew! One thing for sure, overt racism is still alive and thriving. The storyline was well planned. The character development was excellent. My favorite character was Simeon. His struggle was so real as they say. My favorite quote from the book was “If you don’t bring the noise, you can’t expect change”. Like Theresa, I did not realize that the quote related to a rap song, but it strikes a nerve. It makes me want to speak out more on the injustices that have been inflicted upon so many lives.

Author D.A. Bourne did a great job allowing both worlds to collide…faith in Christ and the reality of racism on multiple levels. Sometimes we turn the other way or attempt to escape confrontation by trying to pray the problem away without taking any action. I applaud D.A. for using his gift to shine a light upon this dark issue of racism, all while using real to life characters with real to life issues. I’m looking forward to the second book.

How do you fight a racist system

D.A. Bourne wrote a compelling novel . With everything that's going on in the world today while reading I felt a connection with the characters. Because maybe but not all someone has experienced
A family member going through trial and tribulations.
At times I was all up in my feeling because racism is alive and well . This is my first time reading a novel by Mr Bourne won't be my last. Thank you for this novel you really brought the characters to life about people who don't fit within so call society rules🙏

Don't Push Me

Don't Push Me

This book is a reality of what's taking place in this world we are living in. Unfortunately we encounter Racism in the work place, church, school and the community we live in. This book shows how police is vandalize by locking up a sex offender, they vandalize cars , houses, even a black man dating their ex wife. What D. A . Bourne expressed in this book his real and I pray people will read this book to understand more of the concessions of all lives that God created. I enjoy reading this book.

Don't Push Me is as timely as it is apropos. D.A. created a world that is a commentary on the state of race relations today, and every single character in it is pushed to their limits as systemic racism bulldozes its way into every aspect of their lives.

An emotional, soul-stirring, and poignant read with characters who are vulnerable and relatable. Don't Push me is a deep dive into how racism pushes us mentally, physically and emotionally.
