Selena is trapped in the Underworld, but when startling new facts are brought to light, she must find her way home and not only kill someone she's not sure she can, she is offered the one thing she has always wanted. Can she buy her freedom and slay the final monster? Or will the monsters of the underworld find freedom instead and ruin everything she knows and loves? This is the final book in the Black Crow Chronicles.
Jen Pretty is a well- known and prolific writer of smart urban fantasies. Her novels are character driven, witty, often violent, and with a liberal sprinkling of coarse language. Some of her books genre-hop into mythology, pulling characters and situations from a variety of sources. When not writing, Jen can be found in the barn with her horses, or knee-deep in the vegetable garden at her home in rural Ontario, Canada, which she shares with her husband, three children, and a white husky dog named Salt.
Beautiful!! Awesome!! The series was great and this book is Fantastic as an Ending!! Serena and all the families coming together to fix the world as it should have been in the beginning. We find out new information still in this book as to the family dynamics and how different ones are related. There is so much that can be said but I do not want to spoil the book for anyone else. Thank you, Jen Pretty, for the wonderful voyage thru these stories.
Excellent series. Kept to its expectation throughout each book. Written well. All characters were strong in their own right and carried through better then expected. Never disappointed I read the entire series in two days. It flowed one into another leaving no gaps or questions. Will be reading many more by this author. An author to watch, for sure.
Sorry to say cheerio to Selena the Black Crow and her team of witches, Warlocks and Vampires. Good series, slightly marred by the lack of good proofreading, but once I'd worked out what was being written, I carried on with the story.
