Difficult times calls for the best of friends in this brand-new novel about starting again, from Amazon #1 bestselling author Hazel Taylor. Jenna, Cara, and Kimmy have been the best of friends since the day they all decided to pledge a sorority together at the University of Miami, more than 20 years ago. They’ve been through it all over the years, a deceased husband, divorce, death in the family, and many other trying times. All were difficult, but none prepared them for what was about to come. The three best friends and mothers were now facing their children leaving the house. They were about to officially become empty nesters. With nothing but work and weekend book clubs to look forward to, the women are excited when an invitation arrives in the mail, informing them of an upcoming anniversary event for their sorority chapter in Miami, Florida. With nothing to lose, the three friends embark on a weekend getaway to ease their emotional hearts, reconnect with old friends, and get a new sense of hope. However, a weekend of reminiscing and reconnecting with old friends may prove more damaging than healing. Secrets are revealed, past betrayals are brought to light, and new romantic prospects enter the picture. With all their children now gone and nothing but time, Jenna, Cara, and Kimmy are now at a crossroads in life and the journey is only beginning. Book 2 of 6
Oh Lordy—this series is heating right up!! I thought Book 1 was a little weak...it just did really grab me. Well hang onto your hats—Book 2 is freakin awesome! The storyline is really heating up; the characters are becoming more viable; strange things are starting to happen; and the romantic buildup is really starting to get really interesting. Y’all need to grab this series right away...you don’t want to miss a single page of this bad boy! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and thoroughly enjoyed it!!)❤️❤️❤️
This was an interesting first book in the new Fly Away series about three sorority sisters whose children have left the nest to spend a year in Haiti. Jenna, Kimmy, and Cara decide to go to their sorority's 25th reunion in Florida, only Cara never got an invite and no invite means no admission which we will find out more about in Book 2. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Cara, Jenna, and Kimmy embarked on a road trip from Texas to Miami, Florida to attend a sorority event. The ladies were enjoying the trip, until they had car trouble. When the car was fixed, they continued on their way. Looking forward to the next book to see what happens.
Hazel Taylor has mastered the get you invested in the story and then leaving you with a cliffhanger that causes you to want Book 3 to come out sooner. This is an interesting road trip for the three friends and I have a feeling it is just starting to fire up.
A bit of a cliffhanger! We discover more about the past, present, and uncertain futures of the three sorority sisters as they land in Florida. Unfortunately, Miami may not be the sunny Magical City that it’s supposed to be. There is a bit too much history here for the ladies…stay tuned….
These novellas are part of a series about 3 friends whose kids have gone on a humanitarian journey to Haiti and the friends are on a road trip to their 25th college sorority reunion.
What has Michael done to Kimmy's bank accounts? Will Cara be allowed into the Reunion? Will Jenna and Marcos hook up in Miami? OMG, this series is drama for days!
