Nimensä mukaisesti kirja käsittelee maapallon pelastamista: kirjassa käsitellään sekalaisesti ilmastonmuutosta sekä erilaisia ympäristöuhkia ja -tuhoja.

Kirjaa voi suositella oikeastaan kaikenikäisille lapsille, jotka kärsivät ilmastoahdistuksesta. Teos poikkeaa monista aiemmin lukemistani siinä, että se ei neuvo lukijaansa koko ajan siitä, mitä tämä voi tehdä maapallon pelastamiseksi. Sen sijaan kirjassa esitellään tapoja, joilla tutkijat, maanviljelijät, poliitikot, tavalliset kansalaiset jne. auttavat maapalloa ja miten muutoksia on tehty. Kirja on lohdullinen luettava, koska se näyttää, että maailmassa on paljon tahoja, jotka työskentelevät koko ajan luonnon puolesta ja muuttavat maailmaa paremmaksi.

Tiettyihin osiin olisin toivonut enemmän tietoa tai tarkennuksia, sillä niitä ei voi suoranaisesti ymmärtää, jos ei tiedä niihin liittyviä taustatietoja. Vanhemman on siis parasta valmistautua googlettamaan lisätietoja. Olisin itse pitänyt, jos kirjassa olisi ollut lähdeluetteloa tai suositeltavia lukemisia, mutta eipä lapsille ole varmaan tehty mitään tietokirjoja kasvihuonekasvatuksesta tai muusta vastaavasta...

Kirjan kuvitus ja taitto ovat hyvää. Tekstiä seuraa luentavasti ja kuvitus tukee tietoiskuja hyvin.

definitely stressed me out 😅 i wished there was a little more elaboration on some of the sections and definitely some more contextual action items for the reader to do!
