What happens when twin sisters exchange places? What if one's a rock star and one's a biker chick? Can what tore them apart ever be fixed? The exciting conclusion to the Soul Sisters Duet.
When Rocker Charlotte Justice proposed exchanging places with her estranged twin sister, Scarlett, who owns Badlands, a biker bar outside Vegas, Scarlett thought she'd get a chance at the limelight she felt was stolen from her, and perhaps escape the devastating grief she's been living with ever since she lost the love of her life a year ago.
So on a whim, they decide to switch places like they did when they were kids. What harm could it do?
Scarlett had no idea that taking Charlotte's place would lead her to answers she's sought all her life, not to mention meeting the one man who might be able to heal her broken heart.
Flying blind in her new role, Scarlett will have to navigate the cut-throat, and sometimes backstabbing world of concert promotion, recording labels and unscrupulous managers. It's not all signing autographs, choosing pretty costumes and playing with the band.
Scarlett will learn more about her rockstar sister than she ever imagined. Will it be enough to heal old wounds and bring them back together, this time closer than ever? And this time will love conquer all?

Charlotte Justice is tired of the schedules and life on her music tour. She asks Scarlett to switch with her for a week. Scarlett agrees as she hasn't gotten over her loss of her boyfriend, Buck. He was the love of her life. She is still grieving the loss. As they are twins they use to do this as kids. They decide to switch lives. Never realizing that they would find someone to fall in love with. Lane is a billionaire and owner of the new Hotel that Charlotte is going to perform at for three shows. She hasn't been with another man since Buck died. Lane's sister, Miranda set them up for a date. She made a bet with him, she would give him a thorough breed horse that he wants. He agrees Scarlett finds him rude at first. Stuff and arrogant. But she gives him a second chance and they hit it off. He checks off a few things on her bucket list. They go for a evening horse back ride. He takes her on a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon and have a picnic lunch. He takes her on his plane to his ranch in Lexington Kentucky. He going there to bid a thoroughbred horse he is interested in purchasing. She meets some of his friends and falls in love with a elderly couple and Jonesy. Jonesy is a college buddy of Lane. Jonesy wife is a snotty snob and mean. They enjoy being together but she wants to tell him who she really is. But has to hold off until Charlotte gets back. She has to go through all of the motion off being in the band. She can't let Lane done. She is his premier band to open the hotel. She tries on new song that she wrote about her loss of Buck. The guys love it and want her to perform it. In the mean time she finds out Charlotte life is harder than she thought. Lou her manager is a slime and only thinking of how he can make more money off Charlotte and her band. Reese the promoter of Peach Records approaches Scarlett/Charlotte again like he did when she was seventeen. Thinking he was going to force her into oral sex to keep her career. He threatened to destroy her career if she didn't. He didn't realize she was recording the whole thing and also video taping hom with his pants down. Now Scarlett knew what the secret was keeping from her all this time. She was protecting her from Reese. Great story of these two girls surviving life's hardships and digging through. Lane and Scarlett's attraction and respect is off the charts. Him wanting to show her his life. And her never demanded anything from him even though he had all that money. It doesn't matter to her. Another great story by Nicole James. Recommend reading this story of two lonely people that click once they get past the money.
We find Scarlett adjusting to pretending to be Charlotte in this book. She is excited to see what being a rock star is all about. What she finds, however, is the owner of the hotel, Lane. He is a Brit and their first encounter doesn't go so well. He realizes that he needs to apologize and sets about doing so. Scarlett thinks a short fling won't be so bad. She quickly realizes that Lane is a breath of fresh air and really helps her get over Buck. Lane is used to women throwing themselves at him and realizes that Scarlett doesn't do that. He is intrigued. They have chemistry and neither one of them is afraid to explore it. There is the usual hesitation when Scarlett pretends to be Charlotte, since she doesn't quite know everything she needs to. Her manager, Leo, is a bad person and it soon becomes apparent that Charlotte kept a big secret. I did like how Scarlett stood up for herself and tried to get things to change. It was sad that this probably does happen in the music industry. I liked how the book wrapped up their stories. I kind of wished for more of a wrap up of Charlotte and Daytona. Felt they kind of got the short end of the stick on that.
The story is pure fantasy in the premise of adult twins switching places and living the other's life for a short period of time. It never goes as planned, but it works here. The books are a sweet story of love lost and then found. Of two people from very diverse backgrounds, falling in love with each other and trying to find a way to make it work. Throw in a little MC wild, rich people pettiness and you have an entertaining story.
The writing is well done, and the worlds are well developed. I might be getting a bit to old for these types of books because I got a bit bored with the "bedroom" scenes and began to skim through them half way through. I enjoy them but I enjoy the story plots more and would prefer to have more substance than sex in my books. Which seems to becoming more of a 30/70 ratio than I prefer. I am looking forward to the next book in the series to come out, because I do enjoy this author's work.
While I read these books via Kindle Unlimited I do think they are worth your time and $$.
The wait was worth it!! You must read Charlotte first. This is the ending to the cliffhanger. What a story. Two sisters who trade places. They both fall in love with men who honestly think it is the other sister. They both lie until they can't anymore and are forced to tell and explain who they really are. The whirlwind relationship that Lane and Scarlett venture into is enough to spin heads. But when you know you know. Lane realizes how dull his life was before Scarlett. Scarlett couldn't find her way out of her depressive state to find her happy anymore. If Scarlett and Charlotte hadn't of changed places, they would never find happiness and love.
Forget, I had to get up and go to work today. Who needs sleep anyways? 🤪 There was no way I was not starting Scarlett's book the moment I got my notification. Loved that her and Lane wasted no time hitting the ground running with how they wanted each other. They were the perfectly imperfect halves to teach others whole. Thank you Nicole for reuniting the twins on every level. Now they're both in love and bringing in the next generation. Please tell me we'll get a continuation story of the babies, please??? I could go on and on about this series and if you're reading my review just go on and buy these books already!!!
Sisters I loved this book and not just because Nicole James wrote it or because indirectly part of EvilDead. The interaction between Scarlett and Lane was funny then turned steamy. Scarlett was not who or what you thought from reading Charlotte and that was okay . This book shows you a type of Cinderella theme which I loved and Lane her Prince it was perfect he was from Europe. MS James does a wonderful job of making her characters believable and she sets you up to Falk in love with them. I got the book on my kindle at 12 last night and finished at 4 thus morning loved it!
What a beautiful end to this duet. Two sisters, each with very different lives, one caught in a trap of her own making to save her twin. But life finds a way and she longs for what she doesn't have, and trades places with her twin. This deception leads to so many twists and turns, add in an MC President with a longing for a sassy bar owner or so he thinks, and one straight laced Brit with a bet on the line over one sexy Yank that doesn't want to give him the time of day. Come along enjoy the fun, but make sure to read the first book.
After the twins change places several things happen to both of them, love, tragedy, sexy steamy romance, and lots of forbidden truths emerge. Nicole James you write some of the most wildest books that I absolutely love! This story was so well written and the characters were just so well received. Soul Sister is truly a great series. 5 Stars are well worth this review
From beginning to end I couldn't put this book down. Scarlett find her person the one that can make her happy after she lost her love Buck, but will it all fall apart after she reveals who she really is and what will happen with Daytona & Cherry? This book is a must read to find out. I couldn't have been happier with the way things turned out. I hope to see more of them in the future.
Loved the premise of these two books. Couldn’t wait for this one to come out. Wanted to get the back story for this sister. This one was kinda different for this author. So happy horses were involved in the story. Just proves this author could write in other genres with no problem,if she wanted. Loved both books & can’t wait for the next Evil Dead Book!!!!
Scarlett is the twin "pushed aside" and forgotten, or that is how she feels. When she switches places with her twin, Charlotte, to have the chance to see what that life could have been, she realizes many things about herseld and the sister she hasn't talked to in 9 years! I loved this story and how it wrapped up Charlotte's story, too.
An amazing read that concludes this duet. This unravels what Charlotte's life is like but through Scarlett's perspective as she switched places with her sister. As she experiences her sisters life, she begins to understand and view her sister differently. It's an excellent story that unfolds even more things, a few surprises and an ending that is well needed for both sisters. Loved reading.
This book was an amazing read that definitely grabbed me and kept me reading till the end. It has everything that you need to make a good book. It has romance, interesting characters, a story that grabs you, bikers, music and a whole lot more. This book has got to be read, there is no doubt about it. It needs to be on your TBR list, for sure.
As much as I liked the first book about Charlotte & Daytona, is about as much as I hated this book about Scarlett & Lane. I felt no connection between Lane & Scarlett. Lane seemed really pompous. Didn't really like Scarlett either. The story was just stupid, boring, and cheap. Not even when Charlotte & Daytona came back into the story could save this cheezy, crappy mess of a story.
I had a really hard time getting into this book. It turned out that it was Lane. He was just too chatty during sex. It was kind of annoying. I only kept trying to read it to find out what happened with Charlotte and Daytona. Once I started skipping the sex scenes it went better and I found myself actually wanting to read it.
I won't be able to say enough about this story. So, that being said you must read both 1 and 2 yourself. They are beautifully written. Scarlett and Lane belong together. Charlotte and Daytona absolutely need each other. I wonder what it would be like being a twin, plus be able to switch places.
The first book in this duet was enjoyable, a little insta-love but that's ok because let's be real, it's fiction. But this book was ridiculous. Without giving away anything, the story was not at all believable. Can't believe no one noticed or questioned the main characters behaviour, REALLY !!!!
What a great conclusion! We get to see things from Scarlett's POV in this book. It was great seeing her giving love another chance. For some reason I didn't find this one the page turner that the first one was, but I did enjoy it. Love the epilogue
In my review for Charlotte I had said how I’m not a fan of cliffhangers. That cliffhanger was very worth it. Scarlette’s story could not be told without it. Love how she finds out why her sister did everything she had done… for her!
What a wonderful way to end a short series. Reading about Scarlett getting her second chance at a lost carrier and love was wonderful. I really enjoyed the series. I highly recommend it.
I love Nichol James's storytelling! Her characters come to life I feel immersed in the story As if I'm part of the family and I love that about authors, well the right ones anyway😘 Can't wait to get my hands on more!
I love this story. It is a beautiful one. I also love the Evil Dead MC series. If you haven't read either I say run and get them. These to twins are so awesome and the book is great so please read it.
With the switch both Scarlet and Charlotte has created some chaos. Scarlet is finding she likes the music world, but she is falling for Lane faster than anything else. When he world blows up on the sisters hopefully all their love can last.
It took me a while to read due to life but I absolutely lovedddd it. The way everything happened was perfect and the two sisters are amazing. Its nice to see how their lives came together.
