Can a face from my past change my future?

When an invitation shows up out of the blue, I’m reminded of a promise I made to a girl twenty years ago and suddenly my heart is pounding.

Do I dare keep it?

She’s the one girl that ever meant a damn to me, and the one girl that got away. She walked out of my life once and it devastated me. Now life is giving me another shot, but if she walks out on me a second time I don’t think I’ll survive it.

Second chances don’t come around very often. Not for a one-percent biker like me. There are no do-overs in the MC life. Not when you’re staring down the barrel of a gun. Not when you’re deciding whether to pull the trigger.

But love? Maybe for once the luck of the Irish will shine down on me and give me a second chance with the one girl I let slip through my fingers.

Living with regret is a hard pill to swallow.

Living with the same regret twice? Impossible.

Sometimes facing your past can be the scariest thing you’ll ever do.

So glad to finally get Green’ story!

Shame on you Nicole for making my heart stop for a minute. But dang what a Cinderella story. MUAH! Love these two characters! It’s gonna kill me to wait for Jake, but I will… impatiently.

DNF

“God, I love being a biker.” “Oh, oh, oh.” I point at the screen. “That’s Angeline, dude. You banged Angeline. Put ‘er there.” We exchange a high five. “Wait. Is that you?” he asks. “Who are you with?” “Desiree.” “Who’s she?” “One of Sonny’s newest strippers.” “Nice.” We fist bump.

What if she’s not my style?” “Your style? You mean fast and easy?” Crash snipes. “He means a stripper,”

My date is a tall strawberry-blonde girl from the strip club, named Misty. She’s wearing a strapless black dress in a stiff fabric that stands out at her calves exposing flounces of black petticoats underneath.

Misty skips down the steps and wraps her arms around my neck. “Green, I’ve been looking for you.”

“Go back inside, Misty,” I hiss. “I . . . I have to go,” Sara whispers. Dropping my jacket to the ground, she dashes up the steps, gathering her skirts as she runs.

Not my favorite book of the series, honestly I was disappointed. Not much happens throughout the whole book, I never felt the connection between the characters, and by the end of the book I didn't understand the purpose of this book for the series.

Great addition

I love this series, and this story is a great addition.

It makes a nice change when noone is in peril, but you still get the great MC mix up.

I can't wait to read the next book.

Love a good second chance story, Green and Sara have a great love and a lot of lost years behind them, but this time they make it work with the help of some Fairy-not-so-godly brothers.

We finally get Green’s story.

It was sweet and beautiful with all the hotness you expect from a Evil Dead book.

A true fairytale come to life in this second chance love story. Tim and his High school sweetheart reunite in this outstanding tale.

If neither of us are married by our twentieth high school reunion, we promise to meet there, and we date each other again.”

Good story

This was another good story in a series I have really enjoyed. Not one of my favorites but that's more me than the story. The story itself was well written, it just didn't click with me for some reason.

Circa 1997 to Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, except there is Sarah and Tim (Green).

Pretty cliche the pact..

Loved Green and Sara!!! High school besties turned lovers. These 2 haven’t seen each other for 20 years and after a pact they made in high school that if neither are with anyone else when they’re 20 year high school reunion came around that they’d be together. It was a sweet and very sexy story.

My Rating: 4 stars!

Note: I originally read Green’s story in the Twisted Steel Anthology and this was my review. After the recent release of Green’s book (with the new content included), I reread it and have tweaked my review. 😊

I’m a huge fan of James’ Evil Dead MC series and this story was a much anticipated one from a very much loved character: Green!

And lemme tell you… it doesn’t disappoint in regards to making me swoon more-so over Green! His story was short and sweet, and shows a completely different side to him that I hadn’t expected (in a good way)! For those who aren’t familiar with this Evil Dead MC brother, Green is considered the guy who doesn’t really take himself or anything too seriously. He’s warm fuzzies and funny to boot but was never into wanting to settle down. Until of course… his story! 😉

He’s older now, most of his fellow MC brothers have settled down and started families of their own, and it’s made him really think about his future. Opportunities to get his life in order come through in the way of moving back into his childhood home, and receiving an invitation to his high school reunion. The possibility of seeing Sara, his old high school girlfriend in this reunion has him reminiscing their time together and how their relationship ended all those years ago. It’s given him the mindset that seeing her in this reunion and catching-up could be their second chance to reconnect romantically.

When I initially read Green’s story in the anthology, I was instantly hooked but felt it was too short and hoped that when the time came for James to release his own book that she would extend his story further. Well… wish granted! 🙏 James included extra scenes with Green and his fellow club brothers, making this MC-lite romance story just a smidge more balanced out with MC elements and romance. The scenes that take place also sets up future stories that I am giddy and raring to read!

It’s addictive and I couldn’t read it fast enough, but I also think there were certain developments between Green and Sara that could’ve been more in-depth. But knowing James’ characters tend to make appearances and crossovers throughout her books, I’m not too phased as there’s a high probability we’ll get to see more of Green and Sara in the future.

I’m not always a fan of flashbacks to the past in storylines as it can get a bit tedious and slow the pacing down but in this case the flashbacks provided in Green’s story elevated the moments and gave his relationship with Sara some complexity. Despite the length of the story being on the shorter side, James managed to get me effortlessly invested in Green’s and Sara’s relationship. I was already a big fan of Green but Sara’s a completely new character. In a short span, I already found myself liking her personality and overall presence.

I do adore the fact that they had history. It makes their relationship believable, especially with how quickly things progressed in the story. Although it’s been twenty years, I love that they were so in-sync with one another like no time had passed.

– MC Romance
– High School Sweethearts
– Second Chance Romance

This was more MC-lite in comparison to the previous books from James’ Evil Dead MC series. I didn’t necessarily mind it because it certainly sets it apart from the other brothers’ stories where theirs had more darker plotlines. Green’s and Sara’s definitely centred more on the romantic side of this MC romance story. I love the reconnecting/ second-chance aspect and that it was Green who ended up having this trope — it provided him with more dimension from his usual light-hearted, jokey side that I constantly saw throughout in the series. He was always the comic relief amongst the brothers in the MC and whenever he made an appearance in any of the books his scenes were instant LOL moments, so his story was much anticipated. Overall, I’m happy to say it lived up to what I hoped it would be. It’s swoon-worthy. We get to learn more about Green outside of the club, and we get to meet the chick who snagged Green’s heart. It held my complete attention from beginning to end! #TeamGreen #TeamIrish 🍀

A sweet and relatively short MC-lite romance story you can easily read in one sitting, and will have you happy sighing by the end. The world James has created and expanded never ceases to amaze me, and this story is a fab addition to her series! It’s a must-read for her fans, and more specifically avid fans of her Evil Dead MC series. It can technically be read as a standalone but your experience with Green and his club would be so much more heighted if you read the series from the beginning.

Other then the MC being in a motorcycle club there’s not much to do with it, lots involving past characters but not having read very many it’s not as interesting. This one is definitely more of a second chance romance, yes there’s spice and an okay story but no real tension. Just two characters getting together after years apart but no tension or drama just simple romance and falling for each other, again. (Over a weekend)
Very easy, quick read. There’s build up for book 14? 15? At the end of this that again would be interesting if I was more invested in these characters but having just jumped in, meh. Even if it’s an easy read I don’t know that I want to go back to book one.
Also because I’m familiar with the area every time they took a drive in the mountains that was 20 minutes, I had to roll my eyes. I’m sure google says 20 minutes but it definitely is not! Also San Jose is huge, so like what part of San Jose?! So that breaks the fantasy aspect for me. Id rather an author make up a name then use real locations.

I went into this excited to get Green's story. I spent the book feeling like I was missing something. It was pretty ho-hum and didn't really have any excitement at all. Sara was kind of all over the place. I felt Green and Sara should have both communicated and it wasn't just on him. I also felt like I was dropped into the middle of their story and the looks backs didn't really help with the flow for me. It was kind of short and not really in line with the other books in the series. The epilogue felt kind of rushed and I was left wondering what I missed. I have liked the other books in the series so I was kind of disappointed with how this one went.

DNF!

Too cheesy and too dumb. The dialogue is just childish. Better editing needed. The word is penchant not pension. Why is Ecstasy capitalized? Do we do that for Heroin or Crack? I thought not. No more for me.

Very sweet story. Hardly any angst at all. I have been reading this series from the beginning, and I became confused with the characters in a few spots. Cole is obviously the VP, but the President seems to be AWOL. Referenced to but, is seems to all about Cole being in charge. While it has obviously been years and most of the Brothers have kids that are becoming teenagers and graduating it seemed that the only brothers really brought into Green's story were Cole, Crash, Wolf and Red Dog.
No real MC action, mostly about Green and Sara connecting at their 20 yr. HS Reunion, after an unpleasant parting.
I kept stumbling over the fact that Sara was supposedly leaving at 4PM the day after the reunion, and a whole day and evening seemed to take place before her departure. The continuity really threw me off.
I have to agree with others that it was a very sweet story. Love this authors work, so am recommending this to others, but I think it definitely the series has become a bit milk toast since Cole's book.
I have to admit that since I grew up in Capitola, and lived in San Jose, I get a kick out of the references made in this series to those locales. Good Times. But have to say that even when I was there getting over the hill in 20 would be pushing it. Can't imagine a Brother living there with the Club being in old Central San Jose. Just saying.

I read this via Kindle Unlimited, I can say that it is worth your time. As for your $$, you will have to decide.

Entertaining

I love the Evil Dead MC Series but this is probably my least favorite book in the series. I am glad Green got his own book and his HEA with his long lost love Sarah but I found it hard to connect with Sarah, and therefore hard to emotionally connect with them as a couple. Maybe because this book is written like a novella, there is a lot of world building with cameos from other characters, which would be fine if the book were longer but since its rather short, time spent on other characters to set up future storylines (I guess?) detracts from the story development of Green and Sarah. This is not a poorly written book and it is entertaining but I was a little disappointed that the book and characters didn’t have the depth I’ve come to expect and love from this author.

Green KU, 148 pgs **** 1/12/25 Green & Sara

4 stars. Cute novella, again lots of sex that I skimmed through. This could have been a full novel so I do feel a little gipped with the shortness of their story, Everyone is older now, most have teenagers instead of the babies we never got to know which is so sad to me. I love a MC with babies and to see how they are in raising those babies. Green has now been in the MC about 14 yrs and meets up with Sara at their 20 yr reunion. They had made a promise to each other in high school that at their 20th reunion, if they were both still single, they would start over where they left off, dating and in love. Not much action in this book except a teen punching another one. Yes, I really liked their story but again, it was so short and not much MC or action.

A pretty good little book. I really don't understand why this author changed her writing on so many things. First is the page length and no club action. None of these later books can hold a candle to first half.

It's hard to find a series that I love much less finding an author who I'm wanting and doing to read all of her books. What I'm wondering is if it's even the same author or if she has someone else writing for her. So many times it will say one thing and then it happens a different way other time. Heck we don't even know how he got his club name.

Its different an adult book so adults only please. If you like a simple read with no club action then this book and the last several are for you.

Great story would like to know if Chris and Melissa end up together. I have followed this series and would like to see the Brothers that are dads react to their kids dating. I would recommend to MC fans, would liked to have a little more action with the MC, it seems like there was no action only the the lady cop, still wasn’t much, I wanted more from the MC.

This book was great read it in one evening, couldn’t put it down. I think I will start on book1 and re read the series.

One day he gets a invite in the mail to his 20 year reunion course she gets one too . She is an amazing designer and he is a member of the Evil Dead MC ! This is a story of lost love and finding it again the characters of Green and Sara are just so adorable together, I truly loved this story. I recommend it with a 5 Stars review

My biggest complaint about the book is that I had already read most of it in the Twisted Steel Anthology earlier this year so most of the book was boring because of that and the rest was just boring. I love Nicole James' books and have read the entire Evil Dead MC Series, but this one was not up to her usual standards. The best part of this book is Chapter 24 where we get a bit of a look into the future with Billy and Melissa? As much as this book was a disappointment I will not hesitate to purchase Jake's book in February.

I feel like I’m missing something

I really loved this series when I started it and I don’t know if I’m just not remembering it correctly but I feel like the story and plots were much better developed and executed in the earlier books. I loved the plot of “Green”, it just felt rushed and lacked emotion and was IMO choppy at times. It felt like we were picking up on an existing storyline that doesn’t actually exist, so you are trying to make sense of things. Still a cute quick read though. Hoping for more effort out of Jake.

Loved it!!!

Oh my goodness!!! Sara and Green’s true love story is 20 years in the making. I love a great second chance romance when it’s done the right way…..and this one most certainly is done in the most perfect way. Don’t worry, all of the elements of the Evil Dead MC books is still here. Intrigue and mystery, some drama, unforgettable characters, completely NSFW scenes and the sweetest HEAs. And then to find out that the series will continue wi the a next gen?!?!? Loved it!!!!!

Good story

Cute couple. I hope they have kids later.
I keep wondering what does that MC do. It seems like all they do is either play pool or hang out at the strip club while they're wives are always at home. And what is always up with Wolf, he is a piece of crap, always flirting and whistling at other women and hanging out with strippers. You know he is cheating with them on his wife.
I hope if I read the next book that this H stays loyal to his wife like he did mostly in this book.

Sweethearts

Green is my favorite Evil Dead of this group. He has just enough goofiness and charm that makes you just melt. I loved the high school sweetheart theme as someone who has been married to hers for 36 years it just brings me joy. I love how he is with his neighbor and makes her smile. Green has a big heart!! Ms Nicole keeps you coming back for more I love this series.

Long time coming

Green can't believe his grandmother left him her old Victorian house. What is a single guy going to do with a big house like that. He made pact with his high school best friend/girlfriend that at their 20th class reunion that they would meet up and date again if neither were already married. Well they picked up where they left off. They were kicking themselves for leaving their relationship the way they did. They wasted so many years.

Green is book 13 in the Evil Dead MC series written by the fabulous and talented author Nicole James. Another must read and a great addition to an already amazing series. This is the story of Green & Sara, they were High School sweethearts. It was a sweet second chance MC romance. I absolutely loved this book and this couple!! I couldn’t put the book down, their story is sexy and sweet. The chemistry between Irish & Sara is hot and undeniable.

Green

I'm excited to see what becomes of Billy and Melissa. I feel like I'm addicted to these MC books. I loved that Sara and Irish just fell into each other as if they hadn't been apart for more than a decade. I was waiting to see how long it would take them to realise they couldn't be apart from each other again. As big and tough as these bikers are, their sense of humor and comraderie is what makes these books so irresistible to me.

Fantastic read

Absolutely love The Evil Dead Mc, each story gets better and better.

Green and Sara's story is a second chance at Love that starts in their teens.

It is steamy as hell and chock full of banter between the Mc brothers that we all love.

Years and miles apart the couple have carved different lifes for themselves, but a pa t had them finding their way back together. But will history repeat itself?
