One Wild Weekend with #16

One Wild Weekend With Tucker

Rate this book

The wine goes down a treat, and so does the cowboy who makes it…

Three days ago, I lost my job as an investment analyst.

Now I’m doing a favor for my brother and his wife and checking out a small Vineyard in Wyoming.

It should have been a quick check to make sure the Vineyard is a sound investment.

But when I arrive, the Rodeo Cowboy turned Winemaker isn’t interested in selling.

In fact, he’s furious his soon-to-be ex-wife has listed the property for sale behind his back…

While he was in jail.

Usually, I’d know better than to chase a deal with an irate, uncooperative, if not wildly sexy cowboy.

But when bad weather sets in, I’m forced to spend the weekend in his cottage.

His one-bedroom cottage.

It may have been the excellent wine, or the cozy cabin, or the fact he gave up his bed for me, but Tucker turns out not to be the giant Alpha-hole I thought he was.

He’s stubborn, bitter, and possibly out for revenge, but something tells me this weekend is going to be an eye-opening, if not panty-dropping experience…

Lexi Hart has written a 5-star book. this is the story of Kenna and Tucker. Tucker had spent six months in prison for something he didn't do and he has not been out long. When he got out, he found out his ex-wife Lynn had put the vineyard up for sale. He has run everyone off that has come to see the property. Kenna has come to see the property for her brother and it is supposed to be vacant but it's not. When she pulls up, a man comes out with a rifle. He tells her that she is trespassing. Kenna said that she was sorry and she should have called first. She was there to look at the property. He tells her that it is not for sale and she needed to leave There is an instant attraction between them, but Tucker doesn't trust anyone now. She is thinking of a way to get inside so that she can talk to the man so she asks if she could use the bathroom. He tells her that she can use the bathroom but then she had to leave. She gets him to give her some of the wine that he makes and she ends up getting a little drunk. Tucker said that since she was drunk, she could stay the night, and then she had to leave the next morning. The attraction is a little hard to fight on Tucker's part so he kissed her. They end up sleeping together and then when it's over he goes to his room to bed while she is on the sofa. Tucker tells Kenna when she wakes up that the bridge to get to the main road had flooded and she couldn't leave yet. He also tells her that he has to go help a neighbor round up some cattle and a bull. It is still raining and she wonders how he is going to get to where he needs to go. He tells her he is going to walk. While he is gone, she does some research on him and what he did in the rodeo. After all her research, she cooks dinner for him as a thank you for letting her stay. He hurt his shoulder in the rodeo and while working with the bull, he hurt it again. When Kenne finds out she tells him that he needs to soak it in the tub. She goes and runs the water for him but he doesn't want to soak without her. They end up fooling around in the tub and then move to the bed. The next morning, Tucker tells her that there is still water over the bridge but she should be able to drive through it. She leaves Tucker's but she doesn't head home yet. She is looking for more property for her brother when she notices that there are properties that are half the size of Tuckers that cost more than his. This gets her thinking that something is going on with the sale. She goes to get a cup of coffee and runs into Lynn, Tucker's ex-wife. They start talking and Kenna said that she was in town looking at property for her brother. Lynn tells her about the vineyard and said that she could see the property but not the house because Tucker was living there but not for long. There is something that is bugging Kenna about the sale and she keeps digging. She stops at Wyatt's home and he was supposed to be a friend of Tucker's. The questions she asked, she felt like he was lying to her when he answered. She is on her way back to Tucker's when her brother Brett calls her and tells her that she needed to come home. Her old boss had just been arrested and the whole company was under investigation. He had just gotten off the phone with the Securities and Exchange Commission and they wanted to talk to her. She is upset and told him that she was fired and didn't have anything to do with fraudulent behavior. “I know that, and you know that. But think about how this might look. You get fired, your boss is under investigation and you’re in another state.” “At best it looks like your boss tipped you off because he knew he was in trouble, at worst it looks like you’re guilty too. Either way, you need to call the SEC agent back, and tell him you’re on your way home, Kenna.” Kenna knows that she now has to call Tucker and tells him what she found out. She digs out Tuckers card and calls him and tells him that she needed to talk to him as soon as possible and to please call her back, it was very important, Tucker gets a call while he is talking to Travis and he doesn't know the number so he lets it go to voicemail. His phone rings again and it is the same number so he answers it. It is Kenna's brother Brett. He tells Tucker that he had been trying to get Kenna for over an hour and she is not answering and he wanted to know if she was with him. Tucker tells him that she had left to go back home that morning. He tells Brett that he will go through town to see if he can find her. He almost didn't see the voicemail icon and when he played the voicemail it was Kenna. When he listens to the message, at the end he hears something like a crash. She tells him that she is like five minutes out from Wyatt's and then nothing. Tucker tears out of the parking lot and goes after Kenna. When he finds her she is unconscious. She is taken to the hospital and everyone thinks that Tucker is her partner. He is sitting in the room with her and thinking that this is the last time he will see her. Brett is on his way to get her and take her back home. Brett thinks that everything is because of Tucker and he tells him that he needs to stay away from Kenna. Kenna wakes up and it is to see Brett in the room with her. She wants to know where Tucker is at. She can't stay awake and the next time she wakes up she is in a car with Brett. It is six weeks later when Brett calls her one day and she tells him that she is ready to start looking for him another property. Brett tells her that he and Kate have already found one. She is a little hurt over this. He tells her something about Tucker and then tells her to open her door and he starts to count down. When she opened the door, she did not expect to see Tucker standing there. He tells her what had been happening and then tells her about selling the vineyard.
Will this be when Kenna and Tucker get together for good?

Kenna is doing her brother a favour when she agrees to go and check out an investment property for him, after just losing her job she could do with something to keep her brain from thinking. It’s hours later when she arrives in Stoney Creek having driven through a storm she is expecting to find the premises vacant and not the armed cowboy called Tucker Evans. When he agrees to let her use his bathroom she also takes the opportunity to use her negotiating skills and soon finds it’s too late to get back on the road especially with the storm still raging outside. Things go from one to another and soon this business trip is more about pleasure, one that lasts the weekend but when the time comes to leave she is torn and after meeting his ex wife things feel even more complicated. Is a weekend fling all they were or could it have been more?

Tucker Evans has just been released from jail after serving time for manslaughter. Back before things went wrong he was a champion bullfighter and married, owner of a vineyard, now he has a criminal record and his ex wife is trying to sell his home and his vineyard right out from under his feet. So when he gets an unexpected visitor he is ready to throw them off his property. Kenna is something else and when she asks to use the bathroom he lets her in his house only for to try and convince him to sell. As the night progresses things heat up and before long the only thing he is thinking or fling is pleasure. They knew this was only a weekend thing and she was always meant to leave, so when her brother calls him looking for his sister he goes to look for her, she should have reached her home by then. Only when he notices he has a voicemail and it’s from the woman who had firmly moved in to his heart and he hears the crash he needs to find her and fast. Will Tucker make it to her in time to save her and is their a future for them together?

Really enjoyed Tucker and Kenna’s story as always you have it all in a book by this author. So if you like sassy women, brooding hero’s and a story with intrigue, danger, and is steamy then you will love this book and this series. 4.5 pleasure *

This was a cowboy romantic suspense quick read.

Kenna, an investment analyst, lost her job 3 days prior to heading out to Stoney Creek, Wyoming to investigate an investment property for her brother and his wife. After 7 hours in the torrential rain she gets to the supposedly vacant property and is met by a gun wielding cowboy.

Tucker Evans is a former bullfighter who just got released from jail serving a manslaughter charge and his ex-wife is trying to sell his cabin and vineyard out from under him. He lets Kenna into the house to use the restroom and she puts a hard sell on him to buy his property. After she purposefully drinks too much wine and the rain washes out the bridge to the highway, he lets her stay until the water recedes. She stops trying to get him to sell and they end up hooking up for the rest of the weekend. When she goes to leave town she bumps into his ex-wife and when things don't add up starts investigating the property. She is run off the road and winds up injured in the hospital. Her brother comes to get her and brings her home telling her to forget about Tucker. Meanwhile her old boss and firm are investigated by the SEC and she has to clear her name. Tucker shows up to her place and they get their HEA.

Worth the risk
This book is about Kenna and Tucker. Kenna is scoping out Tucker’s property for her brother and wife to buy. It’s just what they’re looking for. The problem is, he doesn’t want to sell it! His ex-wife had organised for it to be put onto the market while he was in jail – for a crime he wasn’t guilty of. So Tucker’s reception of her surprise visit is less than hospitable. Kenna does however manage to make her way into Tucker’s house, and the worsening weather forces her to actually stay there. It makes for a very interesting and entertaining weekend.
It was full of emotion, drama, intrigue, deceit, dishonesty, secrets, truth, justice, fun, wine, gold, flirting, passion, love and bull-riding. And like she said, “The higher the risk, the greater the reward”. I did feel like this story ended a bit too abruptly. Their story seemed a little incomplete, and I wanted to know what was in store for them next. I give this book four and a quarter gold stars.

This book is amazing! Another fantastic Wild Weekend story by Lexi, this one is about Tucker and Kenna and a whole lot of shenanigans! She shows up to view a vineyard property for sale to find out it’s not as available as she was led to believe. This will put her on a collision course with Tucker, the owner of said property. She will force him to let her stay and it will lead them both on an unbelievable journey that will take them through lies, deceit, cheating wives, and scheming neighbors. When Kenna starts to get to the truth, she will be put in danger. Tucker in convinced to stay away but Kenna’s efforts are not in vain as she is able to convince the SEC to get involved and they will get to the bottom of the whole scheme to take Tucker’s land from him. In the end, Tucker will come to find her and let her know that she is the one person he does trust and he’s not willing to let her go.

Kenna is doing a favor for her brother and sister-in-law by checking out a small Vineyard in Wyoming that was up for sale. But she finds that the owner has no intention of selling and figures out his sneaky ex-wife has put it up for sale behind his back because Kenna isn’t the only one coming around to buy his house.

Although Tucker makes it clear he doesn’t want to sell and she should leave, a storm comes up and she has to stay at his cottage temporarily. With them both feeling attraction for each other, it doesn’t take long to give in. As Kenna feels closer to Tucker, she cares about him and, after running into his ex-wife in town, she is suspicious and thinks something is not right in the town which they need to figure it out before someone gets hurt… or worse. An accident puts Kenna in the hospital, and her brother comes to take her home. Will she ever reconnect with Tucker? Do they ever find out what’s been going on?

Kenna is on a mission to secure a property for her brother and goes to a vineyard in Wyoming owned by Tucker.  Problem is he doesn't want to sell.
I enjoyed this book immensely.  It was full of drama,  mystery and suspense.  I loved Tucker and really felt for him as he was really stuck in a rotten situation.  Kenna was a very smart, switched on woman who had a heart of gold,  and would stick her neck out for anyone in trouble.
The dynamic and chemistry between Kenna and Tucker was just amazing.  Loved the steam and that was so well written.  The sparring between them at the start was great too and added depth to both their characters.  I also liked the slow release of the mystery through out the story.  This was a fantastic book and I think possibly my favourite in this series.
This was an ARC and this is my honest review.

You can't sell a person's home without their consent, right? When Tucker gets out of prison for a crime he didn't commit, all he wants is to settle into his home and get his Vineyard business going. When he finds multiple prospective buyers showing up telling him they want to buy his house, he realizes his conniving ex-wife is behind it. Kenna believes the property will be perfect for her brother and sister-in-law but the more she is around the property and Tucker, she realizes that something is off with the whole scheme to sell Tucker's property. Her priority changes to getting to the bottom of the mystery and realizing that this sexy cowboy has become more important to her than just someone she thought she was purchasing a business from. There are mysteries to unlock and a relationship to discover which makes this an all-around great read.

I love the One Wild Weekend series. This is another fantastic delivery. Kenna is an amazing financial analyst but her boss just fired her. While looking for a new job, she searches a property that fits his brother and sister-in-law. She got stuck with Tucker, the vineyard owner who is not willing to sell. The two have a great weekend fling. The chemistry between them crackles in the air. Tucker has a good reason not selling. Everyone around him seems to scheme against him. Kenna smells something fishy. Everyone wants her to leave. She stuck around to find the truth for Tucker. My heroine! She is smart, courageous, and has great instinct. I had a great time reading the story and I highly recommend it.

Yay, we get another weekend with someone. I really love these weekend short insta love stories. They are straight to the point and this one is no different. She is there to help her brother. Not really having all the information about what was needed. Don't you just love half information when you are sent alone on a mission? Well, now, she has to deal with one man that is not a happy man at all. But what happens when a sudden storm sets in and you get stuck with this said not happy man for a weekend? You just might learn some things about him and what is going on that you were not excepted. When this information comes to light, what will happen between these two that the chemistry is on fire for?

This is a Hot unexpected weekend that has lots of mystery and ex craziness.
Standalone with no cliffhangers.
Kenna has just lost her job and is now on a mission to help her brother find an investment property. While looking at a particular piece of land she has a run in with the owner. Now she's sucked into the mystery of his life and the property. Not only that but she has developed a lust for Cowboy. When things go bad he never calls.
Tucker doesn't know who he can trust and his crazy ex wife is trying to sell his home out from underneath him. The latest buyer gets stuck with him for the weekend. What a weekend it was.
Lots of banter, heat, and bad guys in this fun read.

Sassy smart Kenna & the growly bear cowboy Tucker...
So enjoyed this well written story & the main characters who went from offence to defence to climbing the fence to get to each other for some crazy tender loving. I won't detail the story which has been outlined in the blurb & prior reviews but it messed with my emotions, I wanted to kill his ex & his "best friend" neighbour for their betrayal. I loved the heroine who had some serious skills in detecting fraud & she wasn't too shabby in the bedroom either, especially with a certain gorgeous cowboy. As for Tucker & his tongue...censored! I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

Lexi Hart has definitely turned up the heat in this story between Kenna and Tucker. Their attraction was almost instantaneous.
Kenna was investigating properties for her brother and arrived at Tucker's small vineyard to check and report back to him, when she was rained in and couldn't leave. That weekend made her curious as to what was happening in the background.
A mystery to unravel after suspicions are aroused. I thoroughly enjoyed this romance. Each book in the series gets better when you don't think it can.

One wild weekend in wine country

One Wild Weekend With Tucker is the sixteenth book in the One Wild Weekend With series by Lexi Hart. I have read a number of books in this series and enjoyed them with this latest being the same. This fast-paced and smexy novella is about Kenna and Tucker. The story-line has an entertaining mix of suspense, drama, mystery, betrayal and hot and sizzling chemistry. Both Kenna and Tucker are flawed and meet in the unlikeliest of circumstances. But there is no denying their chemistry, even when they are on opposites sides.

Kenna heads to Wyoming looking for land with a business for her brother and his wife. She has driven across the country to check out a vineyard that is cheap. When she arrives she finds that it isn’t vacant and he is also hostile. Tucker has had enough of the people coming to see his vineyard which his ex wife put up for sale. He has no intention of leaving now he is out of prison for something he didn’t do. Kenna spots some issues after inserting herself in his home for the weekend. Nothing is as it seems including Tucker.
I loved reading this and the big reveal moment at the end.

When Kenna goes to investigate a vineyard for her brother to purchase she is met at the door by Tucker the owner who has just been released from jail and is not happy that his ex wife is trying to sell his property. Tucker is about to loss everything he worked for with someone stealing his money and his ex trying to sell his property. Kenna ends up getting stranded by the flooding rain with Tucker and what a weekend is was but she tries to help him even if he does not want her help. This is a hot romance and I loved both Tucker and Kenna who are perfect for each other.

Excellent and unpredictable
It's a great romance, very well written, full of twists and no downtime. The characters are excellent, as are the dialogues, complex, all in an atmosphere that is both scorching and full of tension due to the plot.
I loved when Kenna and Tucker meet, which comes at a time in Kenna's life when everything is bad, even the weather, and her meeting with Tucker only reinforces that ambient feeling.
