One reckless decision on my part,
made the girl I desired unattainable.
But a few stolen kisses and nights spent trading truths led to a decade of deceit and lies.
We couldn’t escape the attraction,
no matter how hard we tried.
I took all of her firsts, despite knowing I won't be her last.
Now the woman who owns my soul,
isn't the one wearing my ring.

Thank you for mentioning the cheating. But I wanted to see the writer take on it. Why? I don’t know.
This one was a disaster the hero was a total jerk and so not my kind of guy and the heroine was no better. There was no redeeming qualities for either of them at all.

He gets her bestie pregnant and then marries her and have 2 boys with her but all this time he’s screwing the heroine and gets her pregnant too but she looses hers and can’t have anymore.
The heroine have a husband that’s supposedly bisexual but seems more in love with his guy friend. It’s a mess. Lmao
If you want a headache read this. Glad I skimmed it. Oh the wife dies and she divorced the husband and now HEA (not) cause both are idiots.

Let’s be real...they deserved each other. They were both assholes.

I just wish it wasn’t resolved the way it was. The H never had to fight for the h or put her first...and the h was the doormat OW most of the book.

I loved the angst. Frankly, IDGAF which side I’m reading about or rooting for. If it’s well written and engaging I’ll enjoy it.

I’m a terrible person, I know.

DNF -Just FYI, the hero cheats on the wife with the heroine.

EDIT: I wanted to know what happened in the end so I finished it.
I’m not the right audience for this book and I acknowledge that.

But, seriously, spare me the theatrics! This book is supposed to be angsty and taboo? Not really. It reads more like a X rated soap opera. Here’s my take on the book: Come here kitten, I love you. No I hate you Duke...No kitten. I ruin everything. I’m no good for you. I love you Duke, Slap! Go away. No come back and F me. Now get out of my life. I never want to see you again. Slams door...It’s over but I love you forever.
Over and over on this merry go around for years and years until thankfully the poor BFF/wife dies so the cheating heroine can leave her bisexual husband and reunites with the love of her life who already has a ready made family for her join and replace the dead wife.
The end.

I did laugh but the back and forth was also headache inducing.

Some spoilers ahead, but I have to explain why I love this so much.
After reading the blurb, and some recommendations, I couldn’t get home fast enough to start this book.

Denton grabbed my attention from the very beginning. He meets and becomes friends with Bre in high school. Young love strikes and of course, silly problems cause them to find, and marry others. Bre has to watch her BFF love and live with the guy she loves. But, life gets in the way and Denton tried to do the right thing.
Even with years of loving Bre, and hook ups, I just could not hate the guy.

I believed in this happy ending; believed in their real love. The best part is that I never doubted Denton loving Bre first, and most. Beautiful love story that spans through the years.

5 ANGSTY STARS!! Wow, what a emotional ride we have just taken...and I loved every minute of it. Denton and Bre will hit all your emotion buttons and might pull the trigger button as well, but it is so worth the read. I can't wait to read more story from this author, I love when they push the envelope and steps out of the norm.

Friendship, angst and plenty of unresolved sexual tension all revolves around Bre (Brianna FMC) and Denton in this book. They both have so many missed opportunities i literally wanted to scream at both of them to get their acts together and sort themselves out. More so when their dysfunctional love story started to involve other people. Even though Bre wasnt exactly an innocent person in everything that happened i cant help but think that a lot of what took place was down to Denton. I understand the reasons behind most of his decisions but it felt like he just dismissed Bre's feelings a hell of a lot. Leaving her hanging for the majority of this book. She went through so much. This book certainly takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Bre and Denton are characters that you know from the beginning are perfect for each other but they just cant seem to get together. It frustrated the hell out of me but with that ending i cant really complain. It was a good read

MJ is a new to me author and I love nothing more than to read new voices. I am an angst lover so it went without saying that I would read this one, needless to say this book did not disappoint. You gotta go into it expecting to hate these flawed character. I did, but I mostly just loved every excruciating second of it and Denton Duke is my new love to hate H. The chemistry and tug of war between these two are off the charts. Brilliant execution.

The fuckin book starts and DOES NOT STOP! I had some ugly crying, lots of laughing and hella heartbreak happening while I was reading.

Bre and Denton are the perfect amounts of toxic. Period.

But it’s sooooo much deeper than that! There’s love and regret and need and lust and desire and all the things that make what they have so perfect...it’s just behind both of their partners’ backs that makes it so wrong!

And boy can they fight I mean...talk about doing it for the marbles. The low blows that leave their mouths are aimed to hurt and that’s exactly what they do. Hell, low blows is the reason they’re married to other people in the first place!!!

WHEN THIS IS RELEASED, GO READ THIS BOOK! I picked it up and simply couldn’t put it down. I loved it.

Always You.... Never has a title been more fitting

This book has left me utterly speechless in the best possible way.
I have waited a few days to review this because it was such a beautiful and emotional journey I wanted to find the exact words to be able to properly review this book. Now I realize, there are none.

There are no words that will or could ever do this book justice. I literally cannot believe this is a debut book. But here I am trying to tell you that you need to read this book.

Denton from the start is this beautiful bastard of emotional baggage that I absolutely LOVED. He never tried to be anything other than himself. And it shows. The writing spoke for itself with this character. He was an A-hole, he was sweet, we were broken, he was savage in this intricate dance of emotions as we watched him mature and grow into this beautiful man. I loved the time-lapse of this book. I loved the opening scene. I loved how we saw his history with Bre and how this love affair played out. Denton was dirty and delicious. He knew what he wanted and he was bound by responsibility but he couldn't resist Bre.

Duke was this young, lonely, heartbroken kid who fell in love with this girl when no one even noticed her. I LOVED this two-sided coin. The boy in the shadows. The layers of Denton were beautiful. I laughed, I cried, I screamed at this man, and I squealed like a little girl every time these two were in the same room together. This book will reach into your heart and pull out so many emotions. This book will set your kindle on fire and make you long for this man and be his Kitten... If only for one night... And if only you read this now...

Bre & Denton

Bre & Denton.

They have a broken hidden toxic love that grew from friendship at a young age. They hurt a lot of people with their love. Secrets, lies and pain. Spread over years, through marriages to other people. They couldn't let go. It was tragic. Watching their train wreck, waiting for the impact. There was also something beautiful about it. They never made excuses for their behavior. They owned it and accepted that they were the reason for others pain.

For a while there, I didn't think they would get their HEA. How could they with the destruction they left in their wake. But fear not they do, and honestly I lived for it. I soaked it up. I normally shy away from reads where the heroine is the other woman, because yes there is cheating in this one, but I loved this one. I rooted for them. I cried for them.

This is a good one people! Take the chance on it. God I loved the feelings it brought out of me!

This is a new author to me, but I will certainly be looking out for her work in the future. This is Denton and Bri’s story, and this tale is how these two meets in high school throughout the years to adulthood. The chemistry between these two is off the charts, and the push and pull and missed opportunities make for some intriguing reading. This story is an emotional roller coaster throughout and pull at the heartstrings. This is a well written tale which is filled with drama, angst, heartbreak, betrayal, friendship, regret, loss, lust, and love. I was completely enthralled throughout this riveting page turner, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend.

I was blessed by the romance reader gods and received a free ARC in exchange for an honest review....

M Jameson is a new author for me and I can tell you that I, hands down, will read any and everything this woman writes! I absolutely fell in love with Denton and his foul mouth. Be forewarned, as the trigger warning states - there is cheating, but even if that’s not your normal flavor, I’d still encourage you to give Always You a try.... sometimes, it’s just inevitable.

Denton Duke is pure perfection of a man - flawed, absolutely. But everything he does comes down to the internal war between obligation and being the man he believes he should be and true love and being the man he wants to be. And Melissa brings him to life perfectly.

So if foul mouth, sexy AF men who are your thing, then I have no doubt Denton Duke will be everything you never knew you were missing and more!!

Always You is sexy, steamy, full of angst, true love and soul mates, best friends and betrayal... and all the feels!! You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll want to strangle more than one character, and then you’ll want to rip Denton off the page and take him bed and make him yours!

So ignore that trigger warning, one click this one, and thank me for it later... 😉😈

Absolutely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Always You by M. Jameson is a journey of a novel - spanning years of tears, secrets, forbidden love, angst, and steam.  I usually am not one for any sort of cheating in my books, but there is something about these characters and their lovestory that drew me in and made me forgive them for the betrayals and still root for their ultimate Happily Ever After.  Emotional and steamy, I am putting this down as one of my favorite reading experiences of 2021 so far.

Pure Perfection

Oh my word this book was raw and so real and relatable. These 2 loved each other but circumstances kept them apart and brought them back together. The cheating makes sense and I can understand the how and why. This was beautifully written. Excellent story

To start, there isn't just cheating as a content warning but also pregnancy loss which I know is hard for some readers. I don't know if it's really addressed, the grief is kind of skipped over.

I was on the fence and ended with a 4.5 but I'm going to give it 5 because I think it was well written, no grammar issues I found and well done character growth. There's not the constant miscommunication and misunderstanding that could be easily cleared up that a lot of cheating romance has so I appreciated that.

I just didn't like Denton. He's a coward for how he treats his wife and family. The love story of Bre and him is angsty and hot but I just feel like that part was shitty, I didn't see a good reason that he stayed. Probably realistic when it comes to how people act when am having affairs, but shitty to read and kind of takes away from the otherwise alpha, takes what he wants personality. I wanted their to be more reluctance to his giving in the the affair at least, or more guilt, instead he just seems to feel entitled to both.

The sex was hot, it was a lot in the middle and I started skimming but it was sexy for sure.

I found the ending kind of unrealistic and convenient. Everything went a little too easy for them and they deserved more adversity to their happiness.

Overall I enjoyed it more than I usually do angst filled drama lama books, all the characters were interesting and plot was enough to keep my eye. I'll read more by this author.

The start to this story comes at you full force and it is some top shelf angsty perfection.

I was completely pulled into Denton and Bre from Chapter One until the last word of their story. This is a very painful, raw and heartbreaking love story, but it’s theirs and they find their way through the messy tangles to get to the HEA they deserve.

This book certainly doesn’t shade the ugly parts of love, but it makes those parts something beautiful.

Overall a 4.5 star read for me because we don’t get to see these two deeply flawed characters drowning in love and guilt resolve the harder things in a satisfying way. There were certain issues/situations/moments from their past that were owed conversations and having those would have made the story more well-rounded and complete.

Being fully transparent, I am part of M. Jameson’s ARC team and was provided an Advanced Copy of the book to voluntarily read and provide an honest review.

Wow. This was tough to read but still so good. My heart strings started getting pulled within the first couple chapters. Like I knew what was coming but I didn’t want it to happen. Then when it did happen, I just wanted everyone to be happy. I cried pretty hard when the h got rushed to the hospital and again there at the end after the big announcement. I like that everybody was so accepting at the end and chose to believe it even though I feel like in real life things would have been a bit more dramatic. Oh, and the dirty talk was off the charts. So, good job, M Jameson. You gained a new follower and I can’t wait to see what you come out with next.

This is the first book from M Jameson that I have read. The trigger warning indicates there is cheating involved. That is not normally my thing, but I am glad I took the chance on this book! There is cheating in it so beware if that is a trigger for you.
The story centers around Bre and Denton. They met in high school and it follows them well into adult hood. Yes, this story contains cheating, but it is so much more than that. It starts with a prologue and I was hooked from that first part. It had me rooting for Denton and Bre from the beginning. Their connection was undeniable and no matter what they just kept coming back for more. I could feel their connection and the pull between them through the pages. I felt their joy and I felt their heartbreak. I felt the need that they had for each other and all the decisions they made over the years. I could even feel the love they had for the other people in their lives.
Denton was the perfect mix of hot alpha and sweet man. He could talk dirty and leave you hot and bothered and then be the sweetest thing. Bre was perfect for Denton. She knew her worth and demanded it but was also helpless to her first love. The push and pull she had with herself is something I think many people can relate to, even if not in the same circumstance.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who can handle cheating themes. This may be my first book from this author, but it for sure will not be my last!

I have never ugly cried so hard while reading a book so much emotion S. It shows that you should definitely listen to your heart that they would have been happy long before the push and pull of the character was so intense I felt for them both. Also just is hilarious I just discovered M. Jameson and I’m in love with the stories I’ve read

My brain just keeps saying WOW over and over again after finishing this book. It's my favorite kind of book with all the angst and a filthy taking hero😍. When I saw the teasers I knew I was there for this! Reading it though omg you could feel everything these poor characters were going through. 15 years of love, hate, heartbreak, children and misunderstandings.... M. Jameson is a new author to me but I'll read whatever she writes. This book will be a re-reader for me and one of the best I've read the past year. 5⭐ all the way.

What a freaking roller coaster... like a roller coaster on steroids! I laughed, cried(a lot), yelled... when you think of something so taboo you don’t think of it in this sense. There is no good reason to cheat. Especially when you’re betraying people so close to you.

I can honestly say that I understand where Denton and Bre are coming from. I seriously wanted to punch Denton in the throat though, I’m not gunna lie.

This book was absolutely everything I didn’t know I needed. It was a refreshing experience and I can not wait to see what else M. Jameson comes out with!

This is my first M. Jameson book and it won't be my last. I finished it in a matter of hours, because I couldn't put it down. Denton and Bre haven't left my mind since I stopped reading. I'm so happy that they got their HEA, but a lot of hurt and damage happened alone the way. Their love story is very powerful, and I will be thinking about them for a long time. I can't wait to read more by M. Jameson!

I’m getting ahead of this and saying that if cheating is a hard nope for you, then you may not want to read this book. Seriously. Because there is cheating. Lots of it.

With that out of the way, this was a haunting love story. Bre and Denton have one of the rockiest roads I have ever read. It gets downright brutal. But the HEA is excellent, and everything works out in the end.... mostly. I loved the flow of the story and appreciated some of the twists at the end. If you’re looking for a heartbreakingly damaged, steamy, roller coaster of a book, you’ve found it.

I can't recommend it enough.

This is a new to me author and ugh, this is such an amazing book filled with all the feels and I do mean ALL. THE. FEELS. Lovers that should’ve been together from the very beginning, but they don’t listen to themselves and fight their feelings until they can’t do it anymore. They both make a lot of very bad decisions along the way and destroy friendships, families, and marriages. It’s literally one bad decision after another with these two until a tragedy comes crashing into their lives and changes everything.
We see them when they’re teens all the way up into their mid to late 30’s. Their chemistry is off the charts! I feel like I need a cold shower after having read this book.

For the author - I’ve read about 25 ARC’s since 2021 and this is my first 5 star read. I was beginning to think I’d never read another 5 star book again. Thank you!

Torn

I'm really torn about this book. Yes they get their HEA, but I'm not sure if Denton really deserved it.

They were both a piece of work. Cheaters galore. Yes Bri and Denton might of had a connection from the beginning and Denton loved her but they never did anything about it.

So they are toxic to each other. They both cheat on their spouses with each other and then Denton is really mean to Bri after each interaction. Bri was just as bad getting pregnant by Denton even though he is married to her Best friend.

They end up together but how many people get hurt in the process.
