You can't even really call this a Novella. It is basically a sex scene, a pretty hot sex scene I will say.
The entire thing is 25 pages and there isn't even a real conversation, so you take that for what it is.
Okay......mild spoiler coming....

The guy......I actually don't even know if he had a name actually...... Wait, did either of them even have a name?
GUYS I DON'T THINK THEY EXCHANGED NAMES!! Fuck, now I have to go back and re-read all 25 pages to see if I missed it.
Anyway that's not really important in the end, back to my spoiler..... The guy partially (or maybe fully) shifts to his wolf during sex..... I'm unsure how I feel about this.... I think I'm creeped out.... But maybe I'm not..... Should I be creeped out??
Fuck it, I don't give a shit. This was a fun 25 page book, and I would actually like to read this couple and maybe find out their names...

This book was quick and dirty and the perfect introduction to the author. With the first page, the author set us on a deliciously dark path that I didn’t want to end. I love the possessive alpha who knew who he wanted and didn’t stop until she was his. This was the perfect hour long read, and I’m looking forward to reading more books from this author.

Short and not very sweet; it was hard and fast and sexy and savage, and I loved it! There wasn't much but sex, but that's exactly what I wanted at the moment and my erm desire was definitely fulfilled.
Would love to see more character development, a back-story and future - as in, a whole ass book. Think I might have a new favorite to read ;)

Short and steamy is one way to put it....just a smut scene that has you begging for more of a story. I absolutely loved this short story of a diner girl finding her mate and he whisks her away to do naughty things. There is not a huge story here, just a snippet and one I would recommend. I have never read a book from L.V. Lane, but now I am going to after this little treat. You will read this over breakfast (20 minute read tops, 30 if you are slow) or at a cafe with some time to spare. What a fun short read and I cannot say that enough. Smut with a side of mini story - yes please!

August 10, 2021Not sure what to make of this one. Extremely short, straight-to-the-point sex scene between a girl and the shifter she meets. Are these characters featured in another book of hers? Is this them role playing? I have no clue, but the sex was hot, although a little too forced for my liking. But to each their own!

This is a short story, only 40 pages. Basically, girl follows boy one night, boy is a wolf and kidnaps her and takes her back to his cave and ties her up, the rest of the book is their sex scene, including claws and teeth and him marking her as his mate. Don't let what I've said put you off though, this is a great, steamy pick me up quick read, one I'm sure I will re read.

I'm not sure I would call this a short story, it's more of a scene. I almost felt like I was reading a single chapter from the middle of a book... an extremely erotic book.
That being said it was well written and interesting enough. If it had been a full novel (or novella) I think I may have enjoyed it more.

Quick wolf shifter read. I really liked Verity Arden (other pen name) books, so I thought I would give this a try. Shifter isn't really something I read much, so that is probably why it was 3 vs. 4 stars. It was good - definitely spicy, but I don't think shifter trope is something I love. Hopefully Verity Arden writes more!!

I got this 'book' when I subscribed to L.V. Lane's newsletter. But this is not a book 😳... it's only a (sex)scene (20/25 pages). If there ever is a real book about the characters mentioned in this scene, I would certainly want to read it. For now, I was kind of disappointed. {Was er helemaal voor gaan zitten... en tja, dan valt het toch een bjte tegen!} 🤣
