Blood Moon

Rate this book
I am Françoise, Queen of the Vampires. I ran wild and free in Paris in the 1820s with my four delicious vampire lovers.
But alas, this was not to be.
For, after hundreds of years, a new breed of vampire rose up and they were to bring me much misfortune.
I woke up in London, in the year 2020, without knowledge of what had happened to me or how I had survived their deadly grasp.
I only know I must seek revenge for my four lovers and I.
I am weak now, after two hundred years of death, and confused with all the noise and strange things I see before me.
But I want to learn, want to grow strong again.
Will I find a new harem and the revenge I so desire? Or will I wither and die, like the many vampires that came before me?
Blood Moon is an 18 + reverse harem book that contains scenes of sex and violence.

I don't even know where to start. This book is the first I have read from Ruby Wilderand I am hooked and want more. Of course reverse harem she has a lot of men but they are such a variety that everyone will have a favorite. I could not get enough of Jasque and Flynn is a close second. The book starts out in 1820 and ends in the year 2020. It was amazing seeing the Queen if the Vampires be able to adapt and evolve so well to modern times.

Warning when reading you feel all of you emotions. At first I did not care for Francoise as much but I definitely grew to love her. Throughout the book I felt bits of anger, love, even hardcore sobbing. I loved being able to imerse myself in the book and feel what Francoise was feeling. This is an extremely well written book and definitely not PG.
My favorite line of the book that made me laugh so hard was right in the beginning.

"‘I do not like snoring pigs lying in my room,’ I said petulantly , folding my arms across my chest. ‘Snoring pigs come with an orgy, my dear,’ he said, softening a little."

What an experience! This book starts us off in 1820 Paris and we meet our main character, Francoise, Queen of the vampires. Her lifestyle is lavish and she doesn’t fear anything, which makes her a force to be reckoned with and also makes her a little tough to warm up to at first, but you will! As the story continues, you understand why Francoise is the way she is, but then we are also treated with the start of an incredible journey, which leads us to London in 2020. I don’t want to give away too many details about why there is a time jump, but it is emotional and very satisfying.

Also, this book is hot! It isn’t just gratuitous sex scenes thrown in, they are built into the story so well and will leave you begging for more, I promise. I’m a big fan of all the guys, Flynn, Dray, Ry and Nik are an interesting group and a great match for our fearless FMC. I definitely need more Flynn in my life though, just saying haha. I really love the world that Ruby has built and the detail that she uses to bring it to life. I’m so excited for book two and to find out even more about the guys, their pasts, Francoise’s plans and how they are going to tackle the issues that surfaced in book one. Because yes, there is definitely conflict and drama, and Ruby leaves you wondering what the hell is going to happen! I can’t wait to see how this plays out! Don’t miss out on this incredible story!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Honestly this book deserves more than 5 stars. It was an amazing story that gave me all the feelings. I don't know how Ruby did it but she was able to combine elements like passion, strength, hatred, love, sorrow..

Francoise is the queen of the vampires. She has a number of lovers (reverse harem story 😈😍) and unfortunately they go through struggles in the beginning. Fate is not in their favor.. but everything that happens, happens for a reason. I love how Francoise or aka"Frankie" as her men call her later 😈, "changes" throughout the book and she becomes more caring and loving. She is a sassy and badass female and I like heroines like that! My girl knows how beautiful and hot she is and doesn't hesitate to enjoy sex and flirting.

~"It was what I had wanted. And whatever I wanted, I got"~

This was funny..

~"I thought we lost you there. Nik couldn't find your pulse"
"Nik couldn't find his dick if he were naked" ~

This was sexy..

~"One more word from you and I will gag you" ~

This book kept me awake until 5 am and I still can't believe how good it was. I'm definitely hooked and definitely happy that we'll have more of this story! This is paranormal romance at its greatest if you ask me.

Ruby great job hun! 💜

Everybody who rated this story 5 stars—get out of here. Is this your first time picking up a romance book? The book reads like the adventures of a twelve-year-old. The main character is immature and her voice struck me as so naïve and childish that reading her thoughts felt invasive. If this was the intention—bravo! Nailed it. It was sad that it was one of the male characters who actually sounded convincing. You really have to pity him because his task is looking after this wild vampire “child” who calls herself “queen of the vampires”.

Also what are these spellings of names? “Sanson”, “Jasque”? If the name isn’t on Namesberry, it doesn’t exist. I’m putting my foot down. This isn’t a novel about 2022, okay?

——
Some gems;

‘Gilot! Gilot!’ I shouted, angry now. Jasque stirred next to me and placed his hand on my thigh. ‘Françoise, my love, please. No shouting.’ ‘Gilot!’

'I am so bored I could wither and die,' I announced. A chuckle rumbled from Viktor's chest. 'I am so pleased you are not overly dramatic, My Queen,' he said, lowering his head.

The human shrieked in anger and picked up a chair. Running towards the windows with the wooden seat above his head, he tried to hurl the thing at the glass—he intended to break it.

The beginning of the story starts off in 1820, Paris. And what a beginning it was, I didn’t much like Francoise (the Queen of vampires) at the beginning, she was very bold and daring but risked the people she cared about too much.
I enjoyed how she wasn’t a small timid woman either and not very often authors write about tall and intimidating women, but Francoise was 6 feet tall and it was refreshing to have her like that.
My heart sunk when Francoise heart broke. My heart broke when Frankie (Francoise) lost her true love.

I absolutely loved all the detail the author went in to on all the horror and gore scenes. Not many authors express details like this and I really enjoyed the attention to detail that Ruby wrote.

It ended on a dramatic cliff hanger , but now I need more. I can’t wait for book 2 , I know it’ll be just as good, if not better than this book!

I love this story so much!

Francoise, Queen of the Vampires is something else! We first get introduced to her in the 1820's living her best life with her four lovers... She is a creature to be feared, lusted after, and respected. But in true Vampire form, there is always someone seeking for that same power.

Ego gets in the way, heartbreak and tragedy ensues... but vengeance is a bloodbath she's happy to dish out when the opportunity arises. Francoise aka Frankie is a vampire that is a little hard to like at first but you soon warm to her but you also respect the fact she is a fierce vampire that takes no prisoners.

Without giving too much away her story brings us to more present times in 2020... where the battle truly starts. There is drama, action. suspense and of course some super steamy times which blaze incredibly hot off the pages!

This was a fantastic start to a new series and one I can't wait for the second instalment and see what Francoise's has in store for us

Oh wow! So on first meeting Françoise I wasn’t sure about her character... moody, bossy, spoilt... but she has grown on me something silly! After a very eventful beginning in 1820 she finds herself in 2020 with no idea of where she is or how she got there.
She has to come to terms with heartache, 200 years of history she will never know and trying to live in the 21st century. It’a amazing!
‘Frankie’ finds herself with some seriously yummy saviours, who take her in when she’s most in need. Some of the intimate scenes are EPIC. Will admit - I read them over more than once...

If you’re on the fence about this book, please trust me. You will love it. It has drama, revenge, heartache, love, sex.... what else could you want? Haha

Come on Ruby we need book 2!!! Well done on such an amazing story!!

What a ride! Wilder has outdone herself with this new series! Here we meet Francisco, Queen of the Vampires...arrogant and self absorbed. Her life is filled with decadence. In her arrogance, she makes an unfortunate decision and “awakens” in London 2020. This sets up the plot as Francisco is bent on avenging her former lovers. The writing is superb...especially here. The plot development is solid. Her new harem and theirs scenes together are smoking hot. Enjoy the start of her new series. You will not be able to put it down.❤️❤️❤️❤️

This is a great read!

If you like vampires, sexy scenes, and harems this is the book for you!

At first frankie’s royalist attitude annoyed me but that’s all part of her growth and character building!

Ruby wilder really did a great job with this world and I can’t wait to read more about Frankie!

Bloodthirsty, sexy, funny

I really enjoyed this book, gorgeous Queen of the vampires comes back from the dead, the last time she was alive was in 1820 Paris. She awakes in 2020, Southbank London, in the garden of 3 ex rugby players and their goth brother who run a nightclub with a bdsm club under it. This is a mixture of sweet and bloodthirsty, utterly gory by sexy as hell, and funny at the old fashioned vamp trying to understand the men of 2020!

This book sucks you in and makes you not want to put it down. The characters catch you off guard because they are definitely not what you expect. I fell in love with Frankie and it was amazing watching her grow as you got deeper into the story. I felt her pain and happiness as I went along it almost felt like they were my emotions. This does end on cliffhanger and I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Thouroughly enjoyed Francois's lavishness in 1820 Paris and consequently her learning experiences in 2020. This author did a fine job of weaving all loose ends . Her seual content wasn't written just to be;rather to enhance her story. First time reading this author and I love her style. Look forward to future works from her.

I loved this! Frankie is really just how Lestat would be as a woman. That should be all you need to know, but if not then here goes. This is a superb story. Macabre and sexy at the same time. The characters are incredible, the details rich. The sex scenes are hot hot hot. Truly a wonderfully delicious read. Off to get the next course.
