Brad breathed the late afternoon air deeply on his walk to the hospital. It was only a few miles from his small apartment and his path led him through some beautiful areas of the city. Brad enjoyed getting some fresh air and exercise before he concentrated fully on helping the most injured patients recover. His job was challenging and sad sometimes but very rewarding when patients made amazing recoveries.
Brad walked past the ornate gates of the Burmingham estate. He had never met any of the Burminghams. They operated in a much higher socioeconomic level then an ICU nurse did. The elder Burminghams had moved from the family estate to a posh retirement area in Texas. As far as Brad knew, the only resident now in the huge mansion was the son and heir, Thorston Burmingham. He ran the largest bank in the city and was well known for his philanthropic activities. Brad stopped for a moment and looked through the wrought iron gates to wonder what it would be like to live in a huge home like that. It would have everything. A little voice in the back of Brad’s head told him that it might be pretty lonely too without a family to fill the rooms with life.
Two huge German shepherds appeared at the gate to bark ferociously at him. “Hi, guys!” Brad said carefully stopping to talk to the two dogs. “It’s just me. I’m headed back to work. It really is a nice day today.” Brad liked dogs a lot. He couldn’t have one in his apartment and his twelve-hour shifts would not be good for a dog to be cooped up in an apartment any way. So, he just talked to everyone else’s dogs. He’d been working on these two for months trying to make friends. They were being very stubborn in maintaining their guard dog attitudes.
Suddenly a large, handsome man in his forties, appeared on the inside of the gate. He had black hair feathered lightly with silver and amazing grey eyes. “Heel, Zorro and Villa. That’s enough now.” The dogs immediately stopped barking at Brad and circled back to stand at the man’s sides. “Can I help you, sir?” he addressed to Brad in a curt tone. “Um, Hi! I’m sorry. I’m Brad Murphy. I’m just walking to work at the hospital,” Brad gestured vaguely at his blue scrubs that he was wearing. “I didn’t mean to bother you. I just like dogs and yours are beautiful beasts. I couldn’t resist chatting with them.”
So begins the sixth story in the series of " Dr. Richards' Littles." . A simple conversation with two guard dogs results in a chance meeting between Brad and, the reclusive and wealthy, Thorston Burmingham, Thorston is drawn to the caring ICU nurse and soon pursues Brad with single-minded determination. When Thorston forces Brad to admit his interest in living as a Little, Brad quickly learns that the strict man could be the Daddy that he has dreamed of for years. Will they both be willing to explore a life together enriched by a fully stocked nursery and personal Little care as prescribed by Dr. Richards?
Characters from the first five novel in this series reappear to continue their stories. You do not need to read the stories in order. All are complete stories. The books in this series will feature invasive medical treatments, including thorough examinations and enemas when required, as well as diaper changes, spankings and other punishments. If you are offended by any of these, a sexually charged relationship between two men, or by age play (adults who choose to live as a Little or a parent of a Little), this is not the book.

Well, that was... Interesting. A bit icky. Different. Informative.
A wide open mind it's definitely needed to read this short story, there's Age play, Daddy/boy kink, medical kink , 24/7 little life style , ABDL, Power exchange.
It is a good read but I doubt I will read more books from this series, after this tale . I like stories with a bit more of romance and emotional connection before getting deep into the kink .
I have many conflicting emotions about this book. I was exited to read about it but it was also alarming.
Thorston was very very strict to the point I was taken aback. I wish he had given Brad more time to get used to his strict parenting before he started spanking him so early on.
Also, he had no safe word!!!!!!!! Brad had no safe word ever!!! It was never discussed!! I get that some CG and Littles have agreements where they won’t use safe word so they can have a more intense power exchange but there was no explicit discussion about it. It left me feeling scared. It felt like the beginning of an abusive D/s relationship.
Also, the constant enemas everywhere was so odd. Do all the littles have constipation? Is it cause all they eat is sugar and refused to eat their vegetables? I’m confused.
I think it’s just the author’s kink because it seemed overboard. I get Brad had issues with his bowl movements but it seemed like most little at Dr. Richard’s office had some sort of medical kink scene.
In all honesty Dr. Richard seems a little bit suspect, the things he said sounded very cult like to me. And the fact that most caregivers wanted their littles to get waxed so they can shed their adult pubic hair?
I guess the Littles agreed but I’m not sure at this point because Brad didn’t explicitly agreed to anything. We just saw he had a sexual reaction to it once and so Thorston decided he would get it done in the future.
So much was odd about this book but it wasn’t bad per say. It was just different and the third person POV didn’t help in making me comfortable with the caregivers treatment of their littles. It made it all feel very cult like.
I wish we had a dual first person POV so we can see how Brad and Thorston were reacting to their new life together. Especially, how Brad was dealing with his very strict daddy.
Any whose, an interesting read but I won’t be reading any others. That third person POV killed me 😔
I enjoyed seeing another side of the Little's world and it was truly something to behold. Brad found himself a very Strict Daddy but you can tell he cares for him very much. Love how even though they both work really hard they find time for each other. There will be misunderstandings and you might find your own self crying once or twice and wanting to hug Brad.
The one issue that I did have with this story and why I didn't give it 5 stars was a little inconsistency with another one of the Littles. I understand you talk about littles we technically haven't met yet..But Brad was with Thorston before Anne and Jake were together and in this book it was made to seem that Brad was meeting them for the first time..But Brad and Jake connected while Jake was in the hospital in his book. Was the only thing that bugged me about this story.
This writer writes the best "little" stories I have ever read
Love everyone of this writer's books I've had the pleasure to read. This series is absolutely wonderful and refreshing. I've read quite a few ageplay books and I rarely give a reading higher than 2 or 3 stars, but every book I've come across from this author has won 5 stars. Well earned as too. The stories are within the realm of being believable and the littles aren't constantly being portrayed as insufferable people needing a heavy hand or constant ridiculous discipline or worse victims fallen in forced situation where they're subjected to extreme regimes to break them the rebuilt to be perfect subservient littles. These books by this author are a pleasure to read which I will treasure.
ICU nurse Brad walked home after work past the gates of the Burmingham estate and used to stop and talk to the guard dogs. Thorston Burmingham doesn't quite know what to make of the caring young man who stops outside the gates of his estate but he soon starts to pursue Brad with single-minded determination. Brad quickly learns that the strict man could be the Daddy that he has dreamed of for years.
I quite liked this story in which the older man and younger man who on the face of it appeared to be too different but actually fit together quite well. I liked the way that they tried to fit into each other's working lives and that it was possible. Easy to read and understand. Contains MM BDSM DDLB relationship.
Bradley is an ICU nurse at a local hospital. He walks past Thorston's mansion on his way to work. They meet when Bradley is talking to Thorston's guard dogs and both men are attracted to each other. Thorston takes a chance on Bradley being attracted to him and interested in being his Little boy. I read this book through KU. I found this book to not be at the same level as Jake's or Tony's books. Maybe because of how long it took for these men to fully accept each other.
I highly recommend this sweet sexy interesting story. I love Ms North's work. I have a serious addiction to her writing and buy her books as a treat. And reading this book today was a treat. I loved the interaction between Thorston and Brad. They need eachother and are sweet together. I love the sweet sexy scenes. Male love is so hot and spicy. I highly recommend this well written and described age-play story.
Brad was aware of his little side before he met Thorston. This made the story really interesting. The sparks between the men flew from their first meeting. It is a story about the journey to living the reality they had always dreamed about.
This story is so sweet. I just adore Brad. I am so loving this series. Each one brings me happiness. Thorston is a really strong Daddy. One I really enjoyed. The writing and flow of this book is done well. I do recommend this book.
Another great read from Pepper North. When I I'm stressed I read a book from Pepper North,it helps me to think that I am being taken care of and not the caregiver. The stories bring down my stress level at least for a little while.
Brad is a successful nurse and wants to find his daddy. He meets Thorston who wants to take complete care of him, including diapers and enemas. Just like the other books in this series, this has in depth and detailed age play.
This is not well written. It's pretty short but it felt like I was reading it for days upon days. Editing is pretty off, so many problematic attitudes (although I did like the accepting attitudes about the lifestyle), and just weird ways of referring to the characters. I'm not entirely sure why I bothered finishing it. I'm going to give this author one more try, but I'm pretty sure it's not going to work out.
I really enjoyed this story, loved the fact that it showcased a male nurse and how hard their life is. It shows that you can get really lost in work and need someone to help take care of you! You definitely got that in this story.
I really like Brad and Thorston’s characters but I didn’t like that they couldn’t commit to each other a lot sooner than the last two chapters. Wasn’t sure if it was going to be a hea!
I’ve enjoyed the other ABDL books I’ve read. This one was OK. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. The story was just okay but, I wasn’t fond of the fact that it seemed like the “Daddy” was kind of pushing the “little” into doing/trying things. Yes, Brad (little) had agreed to the relationship but, Thorston (Daddy) made all the decisions and Brad didn’t have a say in anything.
The doctor’s exam was not what I was expecting. I haven’t read the other books in the series but I did like reading about all the other littles and their Mommies/Daddies.
There were several grammatical errors which were a bit irksome.
***** POV... third person
Standalone or series... book 6 in series but can be read as a standalone
