Confession time: I have my first ginger bear crush! I loved Rusty, a big cinnamon roll of a sweetheart who has his eye on the skies, his feet on the ground and his heart in the game. Sensitive Rusty is used to being friend-zoned but he’s met someone special who cherishes him. Problem is, she lives hours away and their romance is a long-distance one. Can they make it work? Is this really love? Will Rusty finally be the MVP and not just the guy on the sidelines? Kudos to the author for this sweet story and the only reason I’m reserving one star is because Rusty’s long-overdue happy ending is TBC. Can’t wait to find out!

I loved this Novella! It only took a few hours to read. I have not read the Taking Flight series yet but I don't feel it impacted my understanding of the plot or characters. Colleen Young is a very talented author and definitely has a realistic and descriptive way with words.

This book didn't really hold my interest. It was well written which is why I give it 4 stars but it just didn't hold my attention. Also don't like that it's kind of a cliff hanger.
