Jesabel was in one of the most toxic relationships I've ever read about. Henry couldn't get right to save his soul. When Jesabel finally comes to her senses, she moves on and starts a new life. After a near death accident, she meets Justice. It's as if the universe has placed him in her life. After years of meaningless dating, things are finally looking up for Jesabel. But like any good read, once the plot thickens and secrets are revealed, everything is put into perspective for Jesabel.

This was a good read. I loved the plot. It was contemporary romance read with just enough drama to keep me interested. I look forward to reading more by this author.

Love a good Romance

The definition of Solace is: Comfort or consolation in a time of distress or sadness. Justice and Jesabel’s relationship was definitely inbodied that word. They both sought solace in one another. A story of how two people changed each others lives.

A lot of times as women we seem to fall under the spell of the wrong man. I was so happy when Jesabel broke out of that horrible relationship. The author showed the many different layers women have. We may be weak at moments but we will find out strength.

Sometimes writers tend to just type a lot of words with no meaning. Every single sentence in this book had a purpose. Now the book is a little long but it is definitely worth the read!

A Safe Place

Jesabel and Justice went through a lot to get to their safe place.
Jes started out with Henry who she felt was the love of her life. What she experienced with him made her learn her worth.
Justice may have started out on a job but his mission changed.
The way he showed his love for not only Jes but her daughter was admirable. Yes he made a huge mistake yet he tried to right his wrong.
The author added a twist that made the reading experience intense. Definitely a good read.

The safest place

The title was perfect for the story. Justice and Jesabel met in a not so perfect way. Even though their initial meeting wasn’t by chance,it was what they both needed. I felt every emotion that the characters went through. I don’t want to give anything away so I’ll see read the book. You won’t be disappointed.

Great Read

I really enjoyed Jezebel and Justice's story, but they made me so mad!! I was hollering at her to ask him some questions! And wanting him to JUST TELL HER!! I also wanted to know if Jezebel's assertions about Justice were correct. Was he a virgin or just inexperienced? He just see seemed super introverted. Overall it was a great read!

Take your time...

I took my time reading every word, sentence, feeling every emotion. This book was real and raw. I think we have all been in that one relationship when we know we need to let go but can't. We change into someone else we can't recognize. Then one situation wakes us up and we move on. We never give up on love. Jesa never gave up but what a rough road she traveled to get to the safest place on earth! Grab your copy!! Brava!!!

Amazing

At first, I'm like, Jesabel is getting in my damn nerves, why just not leave Henry alone. She knew what type of individual he was, but somewhere down the line, Justice crept in and I couldn't put thus book down. So many different situations came into play and had me so engrossed in my ideals if resolution. You change my way if thinking. Such an amazing story. You have to go through some pain to sometimes get a clearer picture of what you need and will accept out of life.

Great read

This is the first book I've read from this author and I was thoroughly impressed. I loved this storyline about how a man was so broken but mended by the strong love of a woman. Justice love Jesabel and Yana wholeheartedly. He made plenty of mistakes along the way but I was glad Jesabel was able to forgive him and look beyond them.

Beautiful Story

The love story of Jesabel and Justice is so wonderfully written. It showed how you can find the love of your life even when you aren't looking for them or even thought you didn't want it. Their story also showed the importance of trust and honesty in a relationship. It can make or break it.

Have you ever gotten to the point that you have lost your desire to read? This happened to me recently due to personal loss. Solace: The Safest Place for a Lonely Heart by ASH LEY brought me out of my reading drought. This book was simply amazing. I could relate to the heroine in Solace so much. This book is so amazing and emotional. I couldn't put Solace down until I finished it.<
Solace tells the love story of Jesabel Rhodes and Justice McCoy. Jesabel is a photographer and a single mother to a young daughter from a previous relationship. The previous relationship hurt Jesabel so bad that she has a hard time letting men in her life due to the cheating that was done to her by her ex-boyfriend that it made it hard for her to trust them and their motives. Justice is a private investigator and a loner. He has goals that he wants to achieve. Justice learned early in life to depend on himself. He was hired by Jesabel's ex-boyfriend to spy on her to see if she's talking to the press about his family.
Jesabel and Justice meet for the first time when she loses her footing and he saves her from falling. Jesabel was instantly attracted to the stranger that is Justice. She offers to pay him and he declines the payment and tells her to be more careful. There is something about Jesabel that has piqued Justice's interest. This is the first time that has ever happened to Justice in a long time. Jesabel and Justice see each other again when they are both in the coffee shop and Jesabel pays for his order for saving her the day before. Fate keeps the pair bumping into each other and Jesabel is interested in Justice. Justice is interested in Jesabel as well but he is not used to being in a relationship. Will Jesabel and Justice decide to pursue a relationship? Will Justice come clean about the secrets that he has? Will Jesabel finally get closure and allow Justice to love her? Will the pair get their happy ever after? You will have to read Solace: The Safest Place for a Lonely Heart by ASH LEY to find!
What I love about this book was the storyline and the way that it flowed so seamlessly. I love how the author took the time to explore the emotions of both Jesabel and Justice. Both of these characters tugged at my heartstrings and tears were flowing as I was reading this book. I could relate to Jesabel so much because I was in a similar relationship where an ex-boyfriend took me through some heartache. I absolutely fell in love with Jesabel's daughter Yana. She made me smile and Jesabel always had her best interest at heart. I also love how Justice was able to open up to Jesabel and tell her just how he was feeling. The love scenes were sweet, sizzling, and spicy.
ASH LEY shows us in Solace that once we get closure from a previous relationship, we can find the love that was meant for us. She also shows us that men are vulnerable as well and that they often build a wall around their hearts as well to keep from getting hurt. Overall, I just love reading Solace by ASH LEY! It just put me all in my emotions and I'm still feeling the effects of this amazing book! Solace is that one book that I will be reading over and over again. This book is one of my top reads of 2021 so far! I just want to personally thank ASH LEY for this amazing book! Solace gave me back my desire to read again after suffering from a loss.

This was an amazing read. The foundation that was set for Jesabel and her growth had me speechless. For me ... from beginning to end I never had to guess what Jesa or Justice were feeling because the author crafted them in such a raw manor. I can’t wait to dive into Ash Ley’s catalog and see what she blesses us with next! I thoroughly enjoyed the story between Jesabel and Justice 💖

This book was so freaking amazing...

Write Queen Ash Ley truly outdid herself with this one. Like I read this book straight through, appreciative of the alone time I had to actually read it with little to no interruptions.
Let's just start with Henry being a piece of shit, PERIOD! I ain't gonna lie I was so pissed at Jesabel that she actually believed that fool and relocated with him. I could also relate with her being foolishly in love and giving your love to the wrong one. I felt her pain cause when you think you're in love you tend to do ish you don't usually do, rather good our bad, but mostly that bad ish. As much as I couldn't stand his trifling family, I respected his dad for being honest with her and reminding her of who she was before she got with his son.
Ik Donovan sneaky, jealous ass was gonna cause trouble but wasn't expecting him to go to that extreme.
Jesabel went back home and did anything she planned on doing and them some, all while raising her baby girl and still trying to figure out this thing called love. Those convos she had with herself regarding her loneliness and lack of love life, feeling love wasn't meant for her. I felt that in my soul. Her parents lack of confidence in her and her decision making didn't make it inn better.
Her bestie Khalia was definitely best friend goals. No matter what she loved and supported her through it all without judgement.
Justice! Such an amazing lost soul, that found himself after falling for his mark. He was doomed from jump and didn't even know it cause he ain't know what love was, lol. I was more than pissed with him cause he should've told her and given her the chose. Man just don't get it, like you can get so much fatherif they'd be upfront and allow us to make our own decision on rather we wanna continue with the situation knowing what we know, smh. I can't deny that he loved Jesabel & Yana with his whole heart and soul, like with every ounce of his being. Although they started out on a lie, he really tried hard to make it right, to price that he was all in with her and Yana. He stepped so far out of his comfort zone, he was truly the ideal mate, flaws and all. His vulnerability was so damn sexy💞.
This book truly was amazing and Ash Ley style of writing just gets better and better with each book she pours her heart into. Definitely a Must Read!

If you not about Peace, let me be...

To follow your dreams although it vere off the beaten path makes you appreciate the experience all the more. Jesabel goal to have it all built her character and ability to manage her dreams and goals on her own. Though the support was said it wasn't clearly shown. She had to learn to find her way. Henry was a piss poor excuse for managing life. Why subject the most innocent and vulnerable to a pathetic lifestyle just because your support team wasn't all it cracked up to be. His unintended jealousy left him with a lifetime of resentment to encounter. Justice was placed at the right time. Though his way of concealing info wasn't handled properly his position got him his happy ever after. Don't know why I held on to the book so long but glad I finally got to it. Good Read!

Very slow paced and boring

So, I honestly tried to stick it out but I had to bailed out of this never ending dry saga. It was so slow and depressing. Jesabel was not worthy of any admiration, she was dramatic and foolish. I don’t want understand why the author felt like she needed to spend so long describing what a dead end relationship it was between Jesabel and Henry. I got the point very early on. I tried to hang in there until she met the other dude or at least had her baby but when I found myself not rooting for her anymore I gave up. It just kept dragging on and on. I realized that I didn’t care enough to see if she let the other guy in or not.

Heartwarming...

I really enjoyed this book. It was a complete story.... No cliffhanger, no wondering what happened to anybody, etc. It was emotional but more than interesting enough to keep the pages turning. It was everything the title suggested. Jesabel and Justice were the flip side of a bodyguard story. She has no idea she's under surveillance. He's an investigator that falls for his subject which ends up endangering her. It was a journey to a good place, a better than expected HEA...
