Dark Queen Trilogy Dark Queen’s Quest ★ Dark Queen’s Knight ★Dark Queen’s Army
Dark Queen’s Quest A former beauty queen, a retired undercover agent, and a successful model, Mey is not the typical damsel in distress. But when her sister drops off the radar and then someone starts following her around, she panics. Following a vague clue that Kalugal might be in New York, Kian sends a team headed by Yamanu to search for him. As Mey and Yamanu’s paths cross, he offers her his help and protection, but will that be all?
Dark Queen’s Knight As the only one of his clan with a godlike power over human minds, Yamanu has been shielding his people for centuries, but that power came at a steep price. When Mey enters his life, he’s faced with the most difficult choice. The safety of his clan or a future with his fated mate.
Dark Queen’s Army As Mey anxiously waits for her transition to begin and for Yamanu to test whether his godlike powers are gone, the clan sets out to solve two
Where is Jin, and is she there voluntarily? Where is Kalugal, and what is he up to?
It was another amazing storyline. Had a hard time tearing myself away from the book to get my work done. Lucas just doesn't know how to get it wrong and will hopefully for our sakes keep writing these poetic and erotic stories with HEA!
Mey wants to find her sister who disappeared under mysterious circumstances, and within a month Mey has gotten some strange texts. She wonders if it is really her sister messaging her? While modeling in New York, she runs into members of immortal clan.
The immortal clan is there as a long shot to call out Kalugal who is suspected to be Areana's other son and Lokan's half brother. Yamanu is in this group, and Mey turns out to be his mate. Yamanu has self imposed a celibacy rule on himself, and thinks channeling his frustration into his power is what gives him his power. He is worried about what having a mate would do.
This couple wasn't as interesting as the others, and the conflict was eh-- fabricated in his own mind. Guess weirder things have happened.
Toward the end the immortal clan kidnaps a person who is a recruiter for... what? Mey wants her sister back, and never even asked Jin if she wants to come back. I think they need more information before acting.
The 'Dark Queen Trilogy' continues to explore Lokan's loyalty to Carol and to the clan, while the search for his missing brother, Kalugal, begins. Human model Mey and her sister Jin are introduced. Finally, Yamanu's story is featured.
Who is the Dark Queen? Even though Mey is the female lead, the implication does not match her personality.
Thoughts: (1) Mey needs to stop waiting to hear from her sister, Jin. If she could contact Mey, she would have. Am I the only one that suspects West Virginia to be a cover and that the Brotherhood captured her and took her to the island? (2) In chapter four, Amanda says "with her pale skin and blond hair she looks Slavic." Pale skin, check, blond hair, not necessarily. I think this is a mistype and should instead read that those features make someone look Scandinavian. (3) No one would assume that someone was in an abusive relationship because they have missing teeth. I hate that line. Without other signs of bruising or of drug use, people would probably think you had them surgically removed and are awaiting implants.
This trilogy focuses on the mysterious Yamanu and his future mate. Of course, the overall story line continues for the rest of the immortals. Mey is a model who meets several of the family on a mission to NY. Her sister has mysteriously disappeared and their hidden talents make them a target.
I have read the series from Book One (Dark Stranger) through book 46! This is the best paranormal romance series I have ever read. Even better than the Shade series by B. Forrest! I read them all since the beginning of the summer till Oct 27 2021
I'm late coming to this series and I'm enjoying it so much. I love how all three books Coincide to 1 specific story line. I'm not very good at giving a book report but I have to stop and give the books a rating on the story and writing !
I enjoyed this story and the Fates that brought them together. This family gets along better than most of the people. Each story is its own couple and the family that surrounds them continues in the background.
