Struggling with the loss of friends and loved ones, the Hotamétaneo’o find themselves drawn back to the deep, mysterious woods of the Ozarks. Dark visions warn them that evil is once more stalking the unwary. Two bodies are found floating in Lake Taneycomo near the small town of Rockaway Beach, both killed under mysterious circumstances. Following their visions, the Hotamétaneo’o fear that these deaths are somehow related to the death of one of their own. They soon discover that the creatures they are facing are like nothing they’ve ever seen before. An evil that is as old as recorded history. An evil that has no fear of them. Seeking help to stop this new enemy, they encounter the Vatican’s Special Envoy. Will this shadowy group be their salvation or their undoing? Can they work together to defeat an ancient enemy as old as the sands of Egypt or fall prey to its insatiable hunger? The answers lie beneath the Horned Moon.

Vampires! Werewolves, Vatican secret soldiers, oh my
Exciting book! I’ve taken a break from the series for a while and decided to get back into it as it’s October/Halloween! Werewolves, Dracula, ancient Egyptian vampires, Vatican hit men and the soldier who slain Jesus. It’s all a cool mix. Though I will say I was kind of disappointed at how quickly they destroyed the Egyptian vampire. Right towards the end of the book all the things came together to defeat her. Just seemed too neat. Almost would have preferred to use the lance and then in another book having to get the sword of Anubis and hunt her again.
The author does it again , another slam dunk , shattering the back glass of the goal. D.A. Roberts writes in a way that makes it hard to put a book down and yes he did it again. I was unable to stop reading this book. The story flows from one chapter to the next and grabs you around the throat and feeds off of you until you are nothing but a wrung out exhausted shell of a being.. I can not wait till the next book..
The mixing of his characters from the team Odin series and the Apex Predator series gives we readers multiple chances to follow our friends. The lineup of villains is beginning to become too much for my tastes (I like them fighting more conventional foes) but regardless, the storylines are interesting and the additional characters make for fun reading. I hope we don't go too much further into science fiction!!
The combination of Roman Catholic,Lakota Egyptian and a variety of faiths beliefs fears was great reading I cried and laughed and was thrilled by the historical information throughout that arranged everything just so to fight the evil that has taken over all their worlds and wonderful way it ends I guess till the next story
Captivating Series that is excellently thought through!
I have read all of these books in the series and each one is a story that keeps on improving with each book as the characters evolve . You even are routing for the bad guys👍 Did not want to finish !!!! Definitely following this Author🤗
I've read all the books in this serie so far and they are very entertaining with all kinds of monsters and our heroes going strong fighting the evil forces. This one was a kind over the top with vampires and all types of mythology and magic blended in to the mix but hey, if you don't take this to seroius it is a fun read
I liked every page of this book, the only time I wasnt reading it was was when I was at work. The characters were to me nearly real ,I particularly liked the "Provo" vampire ,he brought some humour as did Mattias. One of the best books ive read for a while ,hope there are more of the same to come.
This was an exciting book to read! "Present and Past" have to blend together to defeat these creatures of the night! Hope this blended group of warriors meet up again someday! To fight again! !
What a story! Have to say I didn't see the Vamps coming, but the surprise was great. I have all of Mr. Roberts books, and I have heartily enjoyed each one. If you have not read his works, do yourself a big favor!
In Horned Moon the Hotametaneo'o face a new threat (or very old threat) as Vampires show up in Southwest Missouri. Making way for the arrival of a Vampire Queen. It takes help from team Odin and the Vatican to put them down. This series keeps getting better.
I would recommend this book to anyone who's interested in things that go bump in the night. Preferably start with book one and go through the story. Compelling story and an edge of your seat thriller.
I enjoyed all the books in this series but the last book was the very best. It was gripping, it was full of action without being a snooze fest and it was exciting, well done to the author!
Yet another good book that I liked to read. The characters are pretty fleshed out the main thing that the author has do now is maintain the drama of the adventures to keep it entertaining.
I truly enjoy the D.A. Roberts books because they have an exciting story line and the Native American facts are fascinating. The stories are plausible and very graphic. Keep them coming plesse!
Just when they think they’ve seen everything, here come the vampires. And not just any vampires…..Elders. I couldn’t wait to read the ending. Now on to the next book.
This was a real cliffhanger. Nothing was very helpful until the very end. The author kept us in suspense until the very end. This was the best series I have read so far.
If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would! This is the 3rd time I've read this book and it gets better each time. Lots of action and the characters are loaded with personality! I love how the author's various series link together with crossovers.
This is a good book. You shouldy read it. I like the story. The characters are fun. The book is a good read. i enjoyed it alot.. Download or buy it today. why not?
