Tired of the usual post-apocalyptic tale? Welcome to your new addiction.

SPORE is a new, thrilling post-apocalyptic survival saga from #1 best-selling authors Mike Kraus and Kenny Soward.

A billion acres of food have been wiped off the map overnight.

A mysterious illness, somehow connected to America's agriculture collapse, tears through the country - and the world - like a hot knife through butter, killing millions as it spreads.

Pockets of survivors are forced to trek west, seeking shelter and food as they fight against the disease that lives in the air and soil around them.

As death and destruction spread and the country collapses in upon itself, those left behind will be forced to work together to survive, lest they be consumed by the spores.

Welcome to my little space out on the web. I'm Kenny Soward, and I'm an author, musician, and once IT guy. I write books in many sub-genres of Science Fiction and Fantasy, including post-apocalyptic, military science fiction, epic fantasy, and horror. I'm influenced by authors such as Stephen King, George R. R. Martin, Anne Rice, J.K. Rowling, Mark Lawrence, Dan Simmons, Robin Hobb, Robert McCammon, Larry Correia, and Mike Kraus.

I love all kinds of movies and shows from Battle Star Galactica (reboot) to the Walking Dead. There's nothing I won't try.

I grew up in Kentucky in a small suburb just south of Cincinnati, Ohio, listening to hard rock and playing outdoors. In those quiet 1970's streets, I jumped bikes, played Nerf football, and came away with many scars.

My grandfather and many of my uncles and cousins served in the United States Military, and my father was a Kentucky State Trooper. Their efforts taught me the meaning of sacrifice and gratitude. I've always had an avid curiosity about the world around me, and I hope my enthusiasm for life carries over into my stories, even the dark ones.

Absolutely intriguing final book. No food, danger all around. How will this end. Once you’re involved, no backing out until the end. Gripping until you find out what happens.

SPLIT - a review by Rosemary Kenny

SPLIT is Book 7 in the SPORE series, by Kenny Soward and Mike Kraus, that concludes the fight for survival against psychopathic killer Carver and his cult, while trying to find a cure for the deadly Spore.
Finally successful they prepare to distribute it to those in need. Before they can leave, the former mayor and his fighters arrives, demanding they be given some or all of the A-vax. Will they yield it?

Waki, her brother Moe and their friends Dex and Zack, are on the hunt for the evil Carver. Before long they find gruesome proof of his trail, where many have been slaughtered. One man, Juan, barely alive gives them vital information, before dying. What's their next destination?

As the various threads of this riveting episode in Mike Kraus and Kenny Soward's SPORE series, come to a conclusion in SPLIT, Jenny and the others succeed in getting the vaccines to Miller at the HQ. It's revealed there's a 'roach' in the camp, treacherously working to stop the vaccine being distributed - why?

The New United States recovers and is gradually reorganized over the next decade and a half, by the vaccination and rebuilding of lives and society as a whole. Terrorists and rebels are dealt with, clearing the way for a full recovery of health and normality in a believable, relatable way.

A terrific saga that's completely relevant to the world's current pandemic recovery situation, get
your copy of SPLIT (and the previous books in the SPORE series), for the maximum reading effect you'll have all year! What are you waiting for??

It was a great series, a great read - except for two things.

First: There are a few discrepancy and I do not like them, if it is just one - okay but there were a few. One example: scientist at Red Fall Bonnie Brewer - first it is a granddaughter that is being held, then two times it is a grandson, and then it is again a granddaughter.

Second: The end was waaaaaay to aprubt. It's like the series needed to end right now, but at least one more book would have been called for.
What happend in DC with the "roaches", why not describe the direct aftermath like how Randy found its way back to the people of the Major and how did the fighting with the soldiers stopped? How did Moe, Jessy and Co find their way back from Mexico and what happend then and where did they go? Why did Kim die at the end, what was the sense in that - and on what did she die?

Except for those two points I really recommend the series. Oh and there are a few typos and so, but that I can ignore ;)

Finished Again!

As always, EXCELLENT work.
Mike Kraus and Kenny Howard have crafted a series that will suck you into the characters of the story and make you feel like you are part of the events that make this work live.
Again, I don't know how these authors continue to write the stories and not run out of ideas and words.
I love the long stories but get sad when I reach the end. I feel like I am leaving friends behind. If you have never read one of their books you will never know what you are missing.
Thank you gentlemen for another great series and please hurry up with your next project.

This series (which has been a pretty good one) ends with quite a bang. There is a lot of action and a lot of work to wrap up the story in a satisfying way. I was a little puzzled that in the military camp in DC, the vaccines were kept in a relatively unguarded place unlike food, water and other pharmaceuticals. How on earth did that happen? The final chapter, jump ahead in time, gave us a lot of hope for the future.

Such a great series!

This entire series is a fantastic read! It's very inventive with a unique take on the genre. The characters are really well written and the action is great! Probably one of my favorite series so far! Definitely will be recommending it to friends.

Good wrap up to the series

Though the conclusion part - the last couple dozen pages - seemed a bit rushed, overall it was a good wrap up to a long series with lots of moving parts.

Absolutely enjoyed reading this set of books! Got into the characters, I love reading a lot of books that are all part of the story, plus them all being available, I hate having to wait for another book to be released. Now I've got to find something else to read! 🤔
