Sherlock Holmes is missing, and he’s left a fiendishly puzzling trail of clues to his whereabouts. In  Sherlock Holmes Escape Room Puzzles , you’ll take on the role of Sherlock’s trusted friend Dr. Watson and attempt to solve 10 interconnected puzzles to sort out the mystery. Each of the story-driven puzzles requires that you use logical reasoning, mathematics, and observation skills to find the solution. The puzzle pages in the book can also be downloaded using an included QR code if you want to share the fun with your friends. If you’re stumped, clues of three levels of difficulty will give you a push in the right direction. Button up your coat and don your sleuthing hat—for the game is afoot!

My husband and I had so much fun puzzling through this book together. There was a bit of a mix of the bad with the good, so here's an overview of our experience. The first couple of chapters you're trying to get on the same wavelength as the author, trying to think like he does and learn his tricks and work out what the answers are actually supposed to look like, so it's challenging. We found that, while on the whole, most of the puzzles in chapters 3 and 4 were good, there were a couple of aspects that were a bit of stretch, like you finally read the answers and think "hmm, I don't know about that" - maybe we were to dumb for those puzzles or maybe they weren't good puzzles, I don't know, but it meant we couldn't work out the complete answer, so it wasn't satisfying. Then we totally crushed chapters 5-10 relatively quickly, and felt very vindicated in our intelligence. There were some recurring themes and mechanisms in the puzzles, but there was also plenty of variety. When we got stuck on a puzzle, the hints were virtually useless. The puzzles were the star of the show, the storyline was average at best, but often downright odd, and didn't connect very well with the puzzles.

As I say, not perfect, certainly some frustration in there, but stick with it, there's a lot of fun, satisfying puzzling in there.

🔍¿Conocéis a alguien que no haya ido a un #EscapeRoom nunca pero que se haya aficionado a ellos? Pues ahora sí, servidora. Y es que si no habéis probado este maravilloso pasatiempo en formato libro, ya tardáis en hacerlo.
🔍En esta ocasión os presento el Escape Room de #SherlockHolmes de #JamesHamerMorton Está editado por @lunwerg en tapa blanda y debo darles las gracias por dejarme disfrutarlo. Tiene 181 páginas para disfrutar y 41 más de pistas y soluciones.
🔍Me ha llamado mucho la atención que sus pistas no son al uso, sino que hay tres niveles de ellas para que puedas elegir según tengas el día.
🔍La ambientación en la narrativa y sus diálogos son excepcionales. Te logra meter completamente en la historia y disfrutar del juego desde escenarios peculiares y característicos de su personaje protagonista.
🔍Las ilustraciones son preciosas y bien conseguidas. El atractivo del libro acompaña a la pericia de los juegos, que ya os digo que os harán pensar y estrujaros el cerebro al máximo.
🔍Ideal para jugar solos o para compartir los enigmas y pruebas con algún compañero. El entretenimiento está asegurado y merece muchísimo la pena.
🔍Os animo a descubrir el mundo del Escape Room a través de este maravilloso libro hecho para mentes curiosas y con ganas de superar retos.

Very challenging puzzles, but few of them have anything to do with Sherlock Holmes. You're helping Watson navigate a long series of riddles and logic puzzles left for him by Holmes (which set me off wrong from the start -- why is Sherlock being so unnecessarily obtuse to his best friend?). It did feel a bit like an escape room -- although it went on much too long -- but without the fun of actual props or objects. I found it tedious by the end, and the lack of related content made it easy for my mind to wander. Definitely something to do in sections.

🏵️Como bien sabéis los scape room, te ponen una serie de pruebas y adivinazas, para poder salir de una sala, pues en el caso del libro es exactamente igual, así irás pasando de capítulo en capítulo hasta resolver el misterio, en este caso con una historia de Sherlock, es la mezcla de dos conceptos perfectos para el misterio.
🏵️Después de hacer cada prueba, he llegado a la conclusión que si entro en una sala no salgo de ella en la vida, soy negada para esto, este libro casi me vuelve loca, si le sumas que soy super cotilla y la paciencia brilla por su ausencia os podéis imaginar hasta qué punto ha llegado, pero mola, mola mucho que te hagan pensar, que te saquen de tu zona de confort y tengas que estrujarte la cabeza.
🏵️La edición es una pasada, las ilustraciones son muy chulas, tienen unos tonos que te envuelven en el misterio creando un ambiente perfecto, las pruebas no son nada fáciles y más de una os volverá locos como a mí.
🏵️Si os gustan este tipo de libro yo no dudaría ni un minuto en hacerme con él, y como regalo, es perfecto.
