The art and story was ok in the Angel and Hellmouth issues but the Buffy issues art and dialogue was still really poor. We get even faster changes with even less explanation or time to breathe than the first Buffy deluxe. Its just accept any mid story change or you can’t read on.
This book has no idea what it wants to be. It should be a reboot but is not accessible to new readers, nothing is ever fully explained or given context.
Its not for older fans either, as it doesn’t continue from the previous seasons.
Its like a speed run of Buffy highlights(with minor changes), 6 seasons of info(no context) in 12 issues and a 5 issue crossover.
Oh and the binding is separating on this one, just like the first deluxe. Really poorly built hardcovers Boom.

Awe man.....I'm a total idiot. I really thought that this would be just a comic book version of Buffy, but no...it's a god damned revival and whoever had the idea to put this volume together, I'm sorry but what were you thinking? Good job on choosing the cover though! Great bait. You got this sucker!
As bad as this comic series probably is, they probably picked the worst issues here. Or maybe I'm just influenced by the fact that they changed some of my favorite characters in the history of creation into flat and whinny dummies. Yeah, I get that they were all influenced by the whole Hellmouth thing but nah....that's not a good enough excuse. I mean I thought making Drusilla the big baddie was a pretty good idea and they managed to ruin that one even. Ugh...and what about the cover? Why choose Spike if he's in it so little, in a side story that doesn't actually connect with the main one? At least his wasn't all bad...

This collection sees Boom comics first Buffy and Angel cross over.

What I liked -
The idea of joining the Buffy/ Angel comics for a cross over was fun because Dark Horse never really did it as big event.

What I disliked -
Much like previous volumes this reads very disjointed and the quality is all over the shop. The progression of character relationships is moving so fast that I can’t understand whom the audience is. If you’re a die hard Buffy fan you’ll likely still question why Buffy is supposed to be so close with Willow/ Xander and if you’re just starting with Buffy you’re going to question most of the characters motivations. My biggest issue with Boom’s approach to Buffy is that nothing is left to breathe or occur naturally (like it did in the show). Events move quickly so that all nuance is lost and characters are being thrown in so quickly that they can’t really have any real impact. A prime example of this is Kendra. She appears in less than 6 episodes of the show but is fondly remembered. Here she is introduced and almost immediately becomes a background character whom offers nothing to the plot and the same can be said for most of the characters. I find it very disheartening that the writers have an extremely rich world to play with and it reads so vapid and soulless. The art is a mixed bag and lacks consistency which sort of lets down the appeal of a cross over.
If nothing else this volume reprints Jenny Frison’s beautiful covers.

Volume necessario nella continuiti dei fumetti di Buffy ed Angel anche se sottotono nella storia rispetto alle due serie.

Volume necessary in the continuity of the Buffy and Angel comics even if subdued in the story compared to the two series.

The pacing and quality is really all over the place. Some of the ideas are nice but others are terrible. The dialogues are mostly bad. Only good as a "what if" story for buffy fans but mostly disapointing , not recommended.
