Though the photographs are lovely, they are somewhat repetitive and not likely to be relevant to a non-professional. 3 stars. To my surprise, it was the text that impressed me. The author writes movingly of her joy in the natural world and her pleasure in it is infectious. 5 stars.

Such a gorgeous book! Her work is exquisite. From painting backdrops, flower arranging, to photo styling, fabric dyeing, photography, Lucy Hunter does it all. I liked her easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions for the 5 projects and felt they were realistically do-able. Oh, and even more importantly, her text was interesting and fun to read. Note to self: find hellebore Ivory Prince and Ranunculus bulbs!!

3.5 stars. BEAUTIFUL seasonal arrangements. Just felt like the author was a bit unrelatable—super successful at everything she tried but just was looking for something else so now arranges flowers.
