Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope by Janice Lynn
A holiday small town romance by Hallmark. Third book in the series. Can be read as a stand-alone.
Andrew is a firefighter in the small town of Pine Hill, KY. He doesn’t want to get emotionally tied down because his goal is to be a smoke jumper in California which he knows is a dangerous job. But he’s having a hard time resisting the cute little boy that tugs at his heart.
Morgan is a widow of a daredevil and wants nothing more than small town love and support. Andrew seems to be the perfect match for her and her son.

An adorable holiday story that will steal your heart. Andrew falls in love with both mother and son but stills want to peruse his dream job.
Sweet and heartwarming. The little boy is precious. Andrew is torn and Morgan is stronger than she thinks.
A beautiful holiday love story.

🎧 I listened to an audiobook version narrated by Madeleine Maby and Seth Podowitz in alternating chapters and POV. Both narrators did a fantastic job with the performance. Each did both male and female for their chapters. Madeleine’s range was fantastic including the young boy’s voice. I liked Seth’s voice for the male point of view. It was nice to have the two switching off. I listened to this at 1.2 which is my preferred setting.

I received a copy of this from NetGalley and Hallmark and Dreamscape Media.

This is the third story of this delightful Wrapped Up in Christmas series. I have read the second and recognized some of the characters from that story, especially the Butterflies, a group of older women who have been friends for decades. They are funny, meddling, and nosy matchmakers that make this series more fun. Morgan and her son Greyson have moved to Pine Hill, KY to live with her grandparents after the loss of their husband and father and to get on their feet. Morgan has no interest in a new relationship. Andrew is a firefighter who dreams of being a smokejumper but with his fun loving and charming personality cannot resist getting to know Morgan. Greyson adores Andrew but with the couple's reservations and dreams, there is no chance of anything but a friendship. Or is there? I really like all the characters in this series. Andrew is so funny and irresistible that one cannot help but be drawn to him and who can resist a sweet little five year old boy who hero worships a firefighter? Throw in a fairytale Christmas wedding of senior citizens, a Quilts of Valor workshop and presentation, this is truly a Christmas wrapped in hope. Read for a great romance with Christmas spirit and a light faith thread.
I received a complimentary ARC from Hallmark Publishing and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine only.

This is a very sweet and cute Romance. I really enjoyed this audiobook, and the narrator was really good. I love how both the main characters had to get over something that they where going through to see that each other was really what they needed and wanted. I have to say my favorite character in this book was hands down Morgan’s son, and that little boy is so cute. I also loved the butterfly girls (The Grandmothers), and those nosey women made me laugh so much while I was listening to this book. The characters where so great in this book. I did feel there was times in this book I felt the pacing was a little off. The ending was really great, and that wedding was something. You should read this book just to hear about the wedding in this book. I was kindly provided an e-audiobook of this book by the publisher (Hallmark Publishing) or author (Janice Lynn) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

Love a good Hallmark movie, then you are going to love, love, love this audiobook! It is just what you need to get you through the "off season" without new Hallmark Christmas movies or even tide you over between Hallmark movies! Vibrant characters that draw you in and keep you connected to a sweet story of getting your feet back under you when life throws you the ultimate curveball. The author did an outstanding job of weaving heartfelt dialogue to entertain and delight for hours to come and the dual narration is just what is needed to help bring the characters to life. I can't wait to listen to more audio's from this author!

This was a cute small town romance! I really enjoyed Andrew and how he was with Morgan's son Greyson. My favorite scene was the Snowball fight because who doesn't love a good Snowball fight? Morgan got on my nerves more then anything. I also hadn't realized that this was in the middle of a series but either way I had fun reading it.

I absolutely adored everything about this story and even though I did shed some tears at some parts, there was also plenty of humour and just plain good fun. The characters were so easy to love and I'm still giggling at some of the antics the "Butterflies" got up to:) I thoroughly enjoy Janice Lynn's style of writing.

Morgan is a single mom who has loved and lost and all she wants is to make this Christmas the best her small son has ever had. Her husband had been a daredevil who'd died while trying to save others. She prefers to stay safe and grounded which causes problems when she meets firefighter Andrew, who has a dream of becoming a smokejumper! Fighting their attraction to each other is easier said than done!! I loved the relationship between Andrew and 5 year old Greyson, absolutely adorable.

I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Wrapped Up In Christmas Hope is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit nearly this year! When widowed single mom Morgan meets Andrew, a firefighter who thrives on helping to save others, they find themselves more and more attracted to each other as they volunteer to make quilts for veterans. But, when all Morgan wants is a stable life for herself & her son, will she allow herself to feel something for Andrew? Filled with lovable characters, Christmas & a small town I’d love to live in, I truly enjoyed this read! This was my first book by Janice Lynn but won’t be my last! Thank you NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for sending this book for review consideration, but all opinions are my own.

Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope was such a sweet Christmas romance novel. I have never read Janice Lynn before, but she is now another author on my radar. Janice Lynn has a good way of pulling the reader into the story and never letting you go. I was hooked from the very first page and couldn't put it down. Each of the characters were very well developed.

Morgan Morris is a widowed mom to her kindergartner son Greyson. Morgan lost her husband Trey in a rock climbing adventure trying to save others when a winter storm rolled in and lost his own life. Morgan and Greyson moved to Pine Hill Kentucky closer to her parents for a fresh new positive life. Morgan wants to give Greyson the best Christmas ever. Greyson has dreamed of being a firefighter when he grows up, so when the local firemen show up to his school, he adores one of them, Andrew Scott.

Andrew Scott is a firefighter in the town of Pine Hill. Andrew and his best friends who are also firemen show up to Greyson's school as Santa Claus to teach the kids of fire safety and give them goodies. The moment Andrew started talking to Greyson they immediately bonded and Greyson looked up to Andrew. Andrew doesn't want to get involved in a relationship with single moms because he wants to be a smokejumper where he goes and battles wildlife fires.

My heart aches for Morgan and Greyson. I absolutely adored sweet little Greyson, Andrew seemed so sweet, I was cheering Morgan on from the very beginning for stepping up and being a single mom who works and taking care of Greyson during the holidays. This story touched me so, thank you Janice Lynn for ripping my heart into pieces.

There is Christmas Hope for You
USA Today best-selling author Janice Lynn presents another book in her "Quilt of Valor! Series entitled "Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope", published by Hallmark Publishing. Young widowed single mom Morgan Morris wants a stable life in Pine Hill, Kentucky for herself and her son Greyson. Greyson has not smiled for a couple of years since his dad died. Firefighter Andrew Scott is able to built a relationship with Greyson which is a challenge for Morgan since Greyson is crazy about him but Andrew is not interested in a commitment. Andrews goal is to train as a smoke jumper in California but how will he deal with his growing attraction to Morgan?
This was the third book by Janice Lynn which I read. I really enjoyed it with it's realistic, believable, strong and charming characters. It is a heartwarming story, a clean romance and a relaxing and enjoyable read, but it also touches at the topic of PTSD and the horror of war. I highly recommend it to all readers who love Christmas romances novels. Once again, Hallmark Publishing included one of their special recipes, this time the one for Lemon chicken Scallopini as well as the link to "The Healing Quilt of Valor Pattern."
The complimentary copy of this book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley free of charge. I was under no obligation to offer a positive review. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Charming! Sweet story, sweet characters. Hoped for a little more at the ending, or an epilogue to wrap it up.

My favorite character in this story is the young boy, Greyson. He is so purely loveable and sweet! He's eager to please and really has a case of hero worship with firefighter Andrew! Andrew has never wanted a serious relationship because he has big dreams to be a smokejumper - a wildfire firefighter. He doesn't want to have a wife and family to worry about while he's doing that job so he's always just casually dated. When widowed Morgan and her young son, Greyson, move to town, Andrew has an immediate connection with her. Morgan never wants to have a man in her life again after losing her husband. It's too painful. She can't ignore the spark with Andrew but she won't let it go anywhere. I adored Greyson's character and I really enjoyed Andrew also. He was fun, sweet and kind. The way he treated Greyson was so endearing! No wonder the kid fell for him so hard! Andrew had so much patience for him too! Morgan was my least favorite but she got better as time went on. I understand her initial reluctance of not wanting to date but she was paralyzed by worry and it grated on me after a while! It seemed to take over the story and it got on my nerves a bit! Also, the way both Andrew and Morgan continued to constantly state their reasons for not being in a relationship - the reader KNOWS why by the 10th time it is stated! I got tired of it! But, I loved the wedding of another character, the humor of "The Butterflies", the wisdom of John (an elderly patient) and Andrew & Greyson's relationship. I did like the way Morgan changed at the end though! It was refreshing! The ending felt like there would be an epilogue but then there wasn't one so I guess you just have to use your imagination!

Morgan and her son went through the tragedy of losing the man they loved, her husband and his father, she recently lost her job as well. So with nothing to lose they moved back to Pine Hill to live with her grandparents and to give Greyson the Christmas he has missed out on for the past two years.

While at school Greyson's kindergarten class has the local fireman and Santa come to visit. Greyson's wish when he grows up is to be a firefighter. He automatically starts to hero worship Andrew.

This is a cute story that I really enjoyed about overcoming your fears and anxieties and going after what you want so badly. Really enjoyed the story and think you will too.

Janice Lynn brings us Andrew and Morgan. Morgan has brought her son after the death of her husband back home where she grew up. Morgan is not interesting in dating anyone, especially not someone who is drawn to danger like her husband. Andrew is a local fireman with big dreams of fighting wildfires. He has a rule of not dating single moms and not getting serious with anyone. But they are instantly drawn to each other.

Will they still fight their attraction? Or, will they let themselves go and be with one another? Can this turn into something more or will their reservations keep them apart?

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and Kensington Books for this privilege.

This was a wonderful and heartfelt Christmas read. My emotions were pulled all over the place by this novel! It is the third book in a series and I had listened to the first book last month. I had not read book two and had no problem jumping right into this story. The author did a good job of making these books able to stand alone.

Morgan and Andrew were exactly wrong for each other. Or that was what they both kept telling themselves. But their hearts definitely didn’t get that same message and even though they both resisted, love grew between them.

I loved Morgan’s son, Grayson, and especially Andrew’s reaction to him. Grayson really looked up to the firefighter and Andrew was so kind to him, recognizing what a wonderful child he was. My emotions ran high in this story and hurt right along with Morgan and Andrew as they both tried to navigate a love that seemed impossible.

I wished there was an epilogue or a little more of a drawn out ending. The book finished a little abruptly for me and I hope that we readers may see Morgan, Andrew, and Grayson in a future novel.

(4.5 stars)

Wrapped in Christmas Hope is an endearing book that will fill your heart with love and hope. Morgan is a widow, mom to her son Greyson, and afraid to risk her heart to another man. Andrew is a firefighter, a daredevil, and someone who steers away from long-term commitments, especially with single moms. The day they meet, Greyson is smitten with the fireman-hero, and the feeling is mutual—but Morgan is reluctant even to start a friendship with the man that her son adores. I loved watching Andrew and Morgan slowly open up their hearts to possibilities, but so much is at stake, and the will-they or won’t-they constantly pulled on my heartstrings. The Christmastime setting is perfect for this story, adding another layer of tenderness. The book is also filled with other wonderful characters, including the Butterflies, a fun group of older women who are planning a Christmas Eve wedding for one of their own. There is also a lovely part of the story which pays tribute to people who have served in the military. There is much to love about this book, perfect for reading while laying under a cozy quilt during the holidays.

Morgan moves her son Grayson back to her grandparent's hometown on Pine Hill, KY. She was managing okay after the death of her husband but circumstances in life brought her to Pine Hill and a new life. She meets firefighter Andrew and is told right away that he doesn't do the happily ever after, and Morgan really doesn't want to fall for a man who is very much like her thrill-seeker, deceased husband. Andrew vows not to get involved with women who have children, but something draws him to this family of two. Spoiler alert: This is a pretty tame romance book.

Thank you Netgalley for this arc! I really enjoyed the narrator and overall story! This was a cute small town Christmas romance.
Morgan is a single mother that moves back to Pine Hill, Kentucky to be close to her family. She’s not interested in dating because of her son Grayson and the devastating loss of her husband.
Andrew is a local firefighter afraid to commit to a long term relationship because he has a dream of being a smoke jumper.
The problem is as soon as Morgan and Andrew meet there is instant chemistry. A spark that maybe everyone but then saw coming.

Exactly what it says on the tin- a wholesome Hallmark movie style clean, family-values romance.

Widowed Morgan moved to her grandparent's little town so that her son could find ✨ Christmas Joy ✨ again. Andrew is a firefighter who's resigned to never having a serious relationship because his life is too dangerous. They fall! In! Love!

Audiobook Thoughts- really well done audiobook!! There are two narrators, one for each of the main two POVs and they both handled the 5 year old voice really well, some narrators don't make kids sounds good at all.

Honestly the best part about this book was the background characters, the old ladies in a group called The Butterflies is undoubtedly the most humor and best lines.

This romance didn't wow me, but it's exactly what could be expected here- a Hallmark movie in book form- so I can't criticize it too harshly.

The ending is too neatly wrapped up for my taste, and so very family friendly that it was pushing on the edges of believablility.

Thank you Hallmark publishers and Netgalley for the eARC to read and review! This was a cute small town romance between a single mother and a local firefighter. First off, I loved the relationship Andrew had with Morgan’s son Greyson. It was all very natural and he loved the kid from the moment they met. Morgan and Andrew are very emotionally complicated characters. Morgan is a widow and Andrew doesn’t want a serious relationship and wants to be a smokejumper. But gosh, it wasn’t hard to see the connection from the moment they met and how much it was pushing them together no matter how hard they fought it. I couldn’t imagine being a widow and living in fear of loving someone again just to lose them due to a high risk job. It was hard to personally connect with her, but her fears were seen and valid. Andrew on the other hand, didn’t want or mean to get so attached to Morgan and Greyson because he knew he wanted to leave Pine Hill, but by the time his mind caught up with his heart, it was too late. It was getting annoying how Morgan kept bringing up how she missed him and didn’t want too and how she couldn’t get involved with him because of his job and how Andrew didn’t want to date but he was setting up Morgan and Greyson for heartbreak with him leaving. But honesty, I loved Andrew. I loved him for his job, his humor and treating a lady right and being such a natural dad. Morgan on the other hand was a little bit too much of a worry wart and uptight but I get why. My only major gripe is the ending felt rushed and open ended. I’m happy they all got to be family, it was what they all deserved and it was a magical, heartwarming Christmas story.

Audiobook: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Steam: Clean romance (“And he cupped her face.”)

Thanks to NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for the ALC in exchange for an honest review. I apologize for being a few days later than the publication date.

🤩 Description is true to its word (see below).
🎧 🤩 Two points of view and adorable alternating voices narrated by Madeleine Maby & Seth Podowitz.
🤩 Romance trope: forbidden love/inconvenient attraction.
🤩 All the feels I like from a Christmas romance—I had so many smiles and giggles and laughs as well as few tears and pangs of desire.
🤩 Cute fire fighters very involved in the community.
🤩 Of course Andrew plays the guitar and sews and bonds with Morgan’s son.
🤩 Close-knit, Bible believing, church/faith community.
🤩 Close friends and family as well as so much love from and for grandparents and older people in the community.
🤩 Honoring veterans through the Quilts of Valor Foundation.
🤩 Fun Christmastime wedding.

💫 As I heard about Sara & Bodie and Sophie & Cole, I guessed they had to have their own stories. I was correct: Wrapped Up in Christmas and Wrapped Up in Christmas Joy. I would have liked to have read the stories in order. I was never confused, though. I can't wait to catch up.
💫I wonder who else gets a story? Ben? Jack?

I enjoyed this book so much that after I finished reading it, I purchased the previous two books in the series. I enjoyed those books as well. Give me a warmhearted, all-the-feels, emotional Christmas romance set in a small town and you'll find me first in line. I know I've said this in so many of my reviews but I'll say it again....Christmas doesn't last long enough for me to read all the holiday romances released for the season so I start reading them in September. There are so many wonderful Christmas romances available, it's impossible to read all the ones I want in one season. But I try anyway.

Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope was the first book I read from this author. The story has a good reading pace and a slow development of the H/h relationship. When you meet the two protagonists in this book you'll understand why they each were so careful with protecting their hearts. Hence the reason for keeping a distance. Or at least trying to.

Both Andrew and Morgan were strong characters and while I liked them both, Morgan was a touch standoffish at first. I couldn't blame her for that, though.

The premise of the story is one that I found interesting however, because of the angsty plot, I wasn't able to predict what would happen in the end. The ending was good although, I wished there was an epilogue. I wanted to see for myself how things worked out. I hope I'll get a glimpse of their lives when/if there is another book in the series. And I can promise you that I will be looking out for that in the future.

While I received an advanced reading copy of Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope, this is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. :)

I really enjoyed this endearing story of family, friends, overcoming loss, and finding love again.

There is a magical chemistry between them when Andrew and Morgan first meet. However, they are both afraid of giving their hearts to another. Morgan is a recent widow and doesn’t want her heart broken again, not by someone in a high-risk job. But she is especially concerned about how another loss would impact her five-year-old son Greyson. Andrew has avoided serious relationships and does not date women with children. His dream is to become a smokejumper, parachuting into wildland fires. Not the ideal job for a family man.

I loved the small-town setting and the tightness of the community. The interactions warmed my heart and made me long to join them. Grayson is adorable, and Andrew is perfection. It is no surprise when Greyson, who dreams of becoming a firefighter, is immediately smitten with Andrew and develops a major case of hero-worship. Morgan is happy to see her son smile again and can’t help noticing how good Andrew is with her son. Both Morgan and Andrew are fighting their attraction to each other.

I laughed at the matchmaking antics of “The Butterflys” and the teasing camaraderie of the firefighters. And elderly war veteran John was a wonderful addition. Characters from Ms. Lynn’s previous two books in the series reappear in this book. But if you have not read her previous books, don’t fret. Each book can be read as a stand-alone.

I really like Ms. Lynn’s smooth writing style and her vivid descriptions, but I did feel the ending was rushed. Morgan and Andrew were slow to open their hearts so I would have preferred that the book be a bit longer to play out the story at a pace that matched the rest of the story. Keep in mind, this is a Hallmark book, so be prepared to set aside reality and just get lost in this adorable happily-ever-after story.

If you love Hallmark and/or Christmas romances (rest assured, these are clean romances), you will love this book. I look forward to her next book in the series.

I received an advance copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Perfectly enjoyable Hallmark Christmas.
I really enjoyed the characters in this story. Both the main and supporting cast was delightful and interesting and added to the story. In typical Hallmark fashion, you have two main characters not looking for love but love finds them, despite their best efforts to resist. What I found fresh about this story is that Morgan and Andrew didn't necessarily resist their attraction, but more that they recognized that the timing for it was not right for both of them. I also love that Greyson, Morgan's son, played such a pivotal role in helping them navigate through their feelings. The Butterfly's were a sweet addition as the "fairy godmothers." I also really enjoyed the ending. Without giving anything away, I thought it to be a slightly different conclusion. One that seemed more thought through and thought out. It seemed very in character for Andrew and Morgan and who their characters were.
I was provided the audiobook via NetGalley. The chapters, male and female perspectives, were read by Madeleine Maby and Seth Podowitz. Both did a great job using different voices for the characters. I really enjoyed Madeleine as Morgan and Greyson. Her Andrew "voice" I wasn't the biggest fan of, but she did a great job with the rest of the supporting cast. Seth was a great Andrew. Author Janice Lynn did a great job of bringing all the characters to life.

Thank you NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

This author gives us another sweet, touching , clean romance that is perfect for the upcoming holiday season.
This story centers around Morgan Morris and Andrew Scott. Morgan, a widow and mom to Greyson, has had enough of adventurous daredevils. She was married to one. The same one who left her a widow. She now wants a quiet and stable life in her new hometown of Pine Hill, Kentucky.
Andrew is a firefighter whose dream is to become a smokejumper and move to California.
Volunteering to making quilts for veterans brings Morgan and Andrew together. But as the attraction intensifies, their opposite goals cause conflicts.
Will Andrew give up his dream for the Morgan or will Morgan let go of her fears?
This was a classical Hallmark story full of heart.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Hallmark Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

You know that feeling in finishing a book, when you take a deep breath and sigh, because you really enjoyed the story? Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope is one of those books. Morgan is a widow, and her young son, Greyson, has had a tough time since his father passed away. Morgan has decided to move back to Pine Hill, Kentucky with Greyson and move in with her grandmother for the time being. Morgan hopes to be able to give Greyson a great Christmas. Becoming a firefighter is Greyson’s dream, and he makes friends with Firefighter Andrew at a school holiday program. Morgan has sworn off having a relationship with anyone, but she’s having a tough time avoiding her attraction to Andrew. She finds that things don’t always work out as planned. Sometimes, they’re even better, and plans change.
This story is a lovely message wrapped in love and hope and moving forward. I also loved that volunteer work, and Quilts of Valor, is a prominent part of the story line. Wrapped Up In Christmas Hope is the third book in Janice Lynn’s Wrapped Up in Christmas series. I look forward to reading the first two books.

So many parts of this Hallmark Publishing book truly hit the mark.

It was magical in a Christmas Wonderland kind of way. The visual I had while reading this was magnificent. The background characters were so lovable and most entertaining. Especially the “Butterflies” which is a posse of little quilting ladies, each one so different from the other. So fun. They had me rolling. The book also had a wonderful little kid. So sweet.

But...

You knew there was a but, right?

The book could have been wrapped up quicker, in my opinion.

And...

The romantic duo was annoying. First she was. Then 999,999 pages later he was annoying.

Overall I truly enjoyed it. I just wanted to bitch slap both Morgan and Andrew a few times.

Wrapped up in Christmas Hope by Janice Lynn is the third in the Quilts of Valor Series. This book was written for Hallmark. That being said it would make a wonderful movie. The characters are endearing and the happily ever after ending is one we have come to expect.
The story of Morgan and Andrew is the classic romantic story of overcoming great loss and finding the ability to love again. There are many characters that have appeared in the first two books and it was great to see them again. The story exceeded my expectations.
I am happy to say that Janice Lynn has written another winning story. I am hopeful there will be another in the series.

Though the first book was so amazingly perfect as a Christmas love story, after being disappointed with second, I was skeptical about the third. I will say I was pleasantly surprised and did enjoy this story about a widowed single mom and a firefighter with a dream of an even more dangerous career path. All the characters had depth and the side stories of the other people in town really contributed nicely.

I don't think these made their way to being Christmas movies on Hallmark but really could be good on screen.
