After the war, cyborg soldiers known as the Extended were discharged. Juzo Inui is one of them, a man whose body was transformed, his head replaced with a giant gun. With no memory of his previous life—or who replaced his head and why—Inui now scratches out a living in the dark streets of the city as a Resolver, taking on cases involving the Extended.

Wurzel, the Berühren board of directors, has decided to free Suiso Arahabaki at the urging of one of its members, Chief Operating Officer Honest. But this move may be part of a broader power play. The megacorporation’s sinister influence reaches every level of the city, from the halls of justice to the back streets, where Juzo continues to search for a way to free himself from Berühren’s grasp. Destroying Suiso might just be the way to do so, but Suiso himself is unlike any opponent Juzo has faced before…

This marks another good volume in the series. I'll admit, since it had been a while since I'd last read, I did need to re-read some past volumes to fully understand what was happening. As some of the main female characters look really similar, there are a lot of similar names to keep track of between the Arahabaki's, and this is pulling together a lot of past plot and character points, it was a little hard for me to follow some of the finer plot points the first time reading through. That being said, I love the art, the series, and the characters, so it was still pleasant to read. The mini-arc with Kronen was a lot of fun, too. I look forward to the resolution in the next couple volumes.

Old side character needles (Cronen) appears to help Juzo buy a car, loved it. Bla bla government stuff to stop harmony, bla bla one of the directors (Honest) decides to kill off her other board members with the poisonous gas from the last volume (she is also the mother of all these clones). We are nearing the end so Juzo meets his old partner (anti climactic) and Olivia loving Juzo is still hinted.

Rinko has dual sub-brain and Mary knows her brother helped make it. Tetsuro also wants to help to make sure Rinko is safe. All this time and they still can't get Rinko some pants. Bla bla Berühren Co wants the sub-brain wash rinse repeat. All the characters look the same, its really annoying to see the fifth long haired small nosed character with extensions.

Anyway, Io wants to betray Honest and take out all extended using harmony. Suiso (old partner) wants to stop him. Kunugi appears (the both sides terrorist that we haven’t seen in ages).
