Kyousuke Motomi (最富キョウスケ Motomi Kyōsuke) is a Japanese mangaka whose stories have frequently been published in the monthly Betsucomi magazine. She is most currently working on Dengeki Daisy.
She uses a male pseudonym and draws herself as a man, but she's actually female."If my stories can touch you, make you laugh, forget unhappy things, or even give you that 'good job' feeling, then I'll be super, super happy!" - Kyousuke Motomi
"You're suffering because you're about to change. You're scared, so you're fighting it. But you wanted to move forward. Shake it off."
I never ever ever thought I would relate to Snake, but with that quote above, I related to him on an extreme level. The feeling of wanting to move forward, but being scared of change so you fight it has been me soooo many times in the last few years. If it honestly had been for the community around me and the deeply encouraging people in my life, I would have given up as Snake did in his moment. It took those around me to spur me on and not be afraid and move forward. While it was a sad moment, it was a deeply powerful one because. in those moments, it really does only call for grabbing someone's hand and knowing (and believing!) you're not alone so you can move forward.
I was excited when I picked up this volume because Ataru is on the cover and was definitely feeling like we haven't seen him in a while! I was not disappointed with this volume BUT OH MY GOODNESS!! ATARU BETTER BE OKAY!!! 😤😤😤
With the developments in this one, I am hating some new characters on scene! I don't want them here AT ALL, but at least there are some GOOD developments that are happening behind the scenes and on the scenes with some MUCH better people. It's awesome and very thankful for seeing these amazing people coming together. Plus, I am loving these new abilities that Kyutaro and Fumi have! Seeing them fight was AMAZING! Though Kyutaro and Fumi's compassion and desire for deeper answers than "this person/thing is evil, we must end them" is inspiring. They make me want to question, but I wouldn't say in a bad way because they very much show the importance of trust.
I am still really really enjoying the romance! There definitely seems to be more sexual tension compared to previous volumes, but Kyutaro and Fumi are so amazing together!
I'm ready for more answers as to what is about to come!
Interesting plot points, but seemed to be lacking to me. Nearly no answers and a whole lot of questions. Couldn't really hold my full focus. Two gate teams starting to officially work together is super interesting though.
I'm glad this arc is over. On top of the confusing lore, I couldn't care less about Aoi. Not that a series can't evolve over the course of its run, but I do feel like Queen's Quality is losing its original charm and becoming more of a generic action manga.
Okay, I'm still processing my emotions after reading what happened at the end of this volume, but, goodness, this is still such a top-tier level series. Motomi-sensei's artwork is always rich and beautiful, but the storyline and characters are somehow even more richer and multi-layered. I don't wanna wait until April for the next volume!!!! T.T
At times both more intense and tamer than the previous volume. I don't like some of the over the top designs for the Suzaku crew, but we're not supposed to like them, so it's a minor ding. I would've liked a few more answers to close out the Seiryu snake arc, but I'm sure we'll get there and don't mind waiting if it might spoil what's yet to come.
Ataru! That was an interesting ending. There's quite a bit of sexual tension between Fumi and Kyutaro, and has been for several volumes. They keep getting walked in on... A good series that balances alot of things really well.
I saw this volume's cover before starting the manga and I was so intrigued wondering how the story develops from basic sweeping/cleaning to include fancy outfits and weapons lol. I feel like I want more from it and I kind of lose interest sometimes but it's become this weird sort of comfort read situation so I'm still here.
I honestly have no idea what’s happening. There’s snakes and scary shadowy figures. And people we thought were antagonists are now allies. And Kyutaro and Fumi would just desperately like to live in a slice of life Shoujo, but every time they try something happens. Usually comedically, but soon a horror element gets dropped on them too. I’m very confused, but looking forward to the next volume.
This snake story is getting a little too confusing. I was hoping this was the end of the arc and I thought I could re-read it from beginning to end. I would like to see Moroni make a character directory for each character in each volume. There are so many people and clans to keep straight.
I truly can't get enough of Fumi and Q in this series. They have an amazing dynamic that I love to read, and their communication is great as well. I will forever be on their side of this fight, and I can't wait to see what happens in the future.
Why is everyone drawn so pretty ugh. I love Seira’s design. She’s so pretty. Also yay Ataru is back. But for the love of god leave him alone. Stop making him suffer omg
