That was a quick arc, but I love the deplomacy and quick thinking in this series. The science is there still, but is slightly less prevelant now. On to South America!

This one continues the battle between Senku and the Xeno gang while he is injured, its upto Chrome to come up with solutions like drills and their plan is solid, drill their way down and then confront this guy Xeno and his gang. Its an aerial battle first between Senku and Stanely meanwhile the other part of Xeno's gang infiltrate the Perseus using Submarine meanwhile Chrome and others invade Xeno's lab and its a battle on all sides until we learn of Stanley's decoy and more war and fights goes on. Until Senku and Xeno meet each other finally and one part of the gang goes forward to South America meanwhile a clever scientist, a man of Xeno is bargained with and they settle to make a corn city here with the other hostages at Perseus acting as the guiding force on how to revive a million people for their rocket. Its an interesting and sometimes confusing read for sure.

La battaglia aerea è stata incredibile e in questo volume ho adorato in particolar modo Ryusui e Chrome — che adoro già a prescindere, ma qui ancora di più.
Ho però tolto una stella perché in generale mi è parso tutto un po' troppo caotico, sia la battaglia in generale (non solo quella aerea) che la risoluzione finale.
Sono comunque molto curiosa di scoprire cosa succederà d'ora in avanti, visto e considerato che il gruppo si è diviso…
Btw grazie Gen che ogni volta salvi la vita a tutti coi tuoi bluff, ti si ama davvero tanto 🫶🏻

Yeeeup, we've reached a point technologically where we can have a primitive airplane dogfight. As guns & bullets are pretty scarce on both sides, there's a lot more emphasis on the flying & dodging techniques that come with piloting rickety machines in the sky.
The book ends in a surprising outcome since now the escaping Kingdom of Science crew have a high-level hostage that has a very dangerous pursuer, but despite that, the Americans & Japanese made an uneasy peace. So now it's off to South America.

This was a very fun volume. The dogfight was cool. Really love Luna here (she’s so goofy and cute), also how Carlos and Max not getting jealous about her falling in love with Senku was kind of sweet. The Taiju and Carlos bits were also cute. Last chapter felt like it moved a bit too fast to be honest (but I liked the rest of the volume too much to let that effect the score)

The war between Senku and Xeno continues as both create new scientific tools and weapons. After thousands of years, Senku and Xeno finally meet in this volume. The interaction and conversation between the two were brilliant. I am really liking Xeno and even though he is a bit annoying, Stanley is also interesting. After capturing Xeno they decide to form some sort of alliance because Senku offers the revival fluid formula. While Senku and a couple of people decide to go to South America, many members of Perseus stay behind in order to build the corn city. This is currently the last volume released and I'm very intrigued by the story.

There were parts that I really liked in this volume and parts I just couldn't bring myself to care about as much in this volume. I'm excited to see where things go from here, but I was also glad when I finally finished the volume.
(EDIT: I was such a hater toward the dogfight when I first read this volume. I like it now that I re-read it! Maybe because I'm now in love with Stanley... but that is neither here nor there. However, I'm still going to keep most of my original review.)
Things I liked:
- "You force me to defile the Kan-ryu style..." made me scream. Hyoga is slowly growing me as a character, I can't lie.
- Everything with Carlos and Taiju. I just love Carlos in general as a character, and how much dedication he has for Luna.
- I do like Luna as a character! Especially how she sees herself as smooth and capable and shows it in her actions. Getting Senku to agree to date her was a bit... well, I've stated in one of my reviews how I see Senku's views on romance, but even then, I look forward to seeing whatever relationship they do foster.
- I liked the ending! Especially the dedication of Dr. Xeno's friend Stanley. I love that no matter what, they'll refuse to leave the other.
Things I didn't care for:
- I did not care about the plane fight. I could not care less about the plane fight. I understand that it was an important moment, but I just kept wanting it to be over.The only part I cared about during the plane fight was the attractive panel of Ryusui taking off his helmet.
- I don't love that half the kingdom is staying behind in America. Especially since it was kind of difficult for me to tell who exactly was staying behind. I did like that their bonds saved them in the end, blocking Stanley from getting a clean shot.

The battle continues, with such amazing science as "digging" and "using your brakes while flying". Fascinating stuff! Real good! There was that part at the end of last volume where Senku said that Chrom had to be head scientist now and this volume was all about Senku being the head scientist from his coma, because Chrom doesn't actually matter and Senku is the only one who can do anything with authority. The two sides fight a bunch, they also fight some stuff, and then there are parts where they fight too, and are like "we do fighting things" while the enemies are like "we fight" and the protagonists go "we can super fight good fight" and then the volume ends with them going "this arc is pointless garbage let's go to the next one".

Wojna pomiędzy dwoma naukowymi frakcjami trwa w najlepsze. Niedyspozycyjność (jej powód można poznać w tomie 18) Senku wcale nie oznacza, że doktor Xeno zbliżył się do ostatecznego zwycięstwa. Plan genialnego nastolatka jest bowiem skrzętnie realizowany przez jego przyjaciół. Nieustająca walka odbywa się na lądzie, na morzu i w powietrzu, wszystko to oczywiście przy ogromnym wsparciu nauki. Fabuła jest przy tym cały czas prowadzona dwutorowo, dzięki czemu możemy obserwować poczynania obu stron.
Najprościej dziewiętnastą część serii można byłoby określić słowami - kolejna świetna porcja rozrywki. Tytuł pomimo swojej pewnej wtórności nadal bowiem zachwyca. Autorzy potrafią ze sprawdzonego schematu wycisnąć nawet najmniejszą kropelkę słodkiego nektaru, który mocno uzależnia czytelnika. Widowiskowa akcja, duża dawka naukowych treści (podanych w przystępnej formie) idzie tu w parze ze świetnie poprowadzoną narracją. Zabierając się za lekturę komiksu, trzeba być gotowym na wiele fabularnych zaskoczeń. Nigdy nie można być tutaj bowiem pewnym tego, co wydarzy się na kolejnej stronie. Całość kończy się ponadto w taki sposób, że czym prędzej chce się dorwać w swoje ręce kolejny tomik.
Obok wspomnianej już akcji i nauki nie mogło tutaj również zabraknąć charakterystycznej dla serii porcji humoru. Żartów jest co prawda mniej niż w poprzednich odsłonach, ale jeśli się już pojawiają, to naprawdę trudno jest powstrzymać szeroki uśmiech pojawiający się na twarzy czytelnika. Równie intensywne ukazywanie emocji przez odbiorcę komiksu wynika również z jego genialnej oprawy wizualnej. Boichi ciągle jest we wspaniałej formie i nic nie zwiastuje, aby miało się coś w tej kwestii zmienić.

Otro tomo que amé, en serio.
Primero quiero remarcar dos escenas que amé. Una fue cuando Luna le pidió a Senku ser su novio, no es normal lo que me reí con ese panel. Por el otro lado, me dio mucha pena cuando Taiju debe ir a ayudar al grupo de Chrome y les dice a Yuzuriha y Luna que deja a Senku en sus manos. Tienen una amistad preciosa y duele ver como Taiju tiene que ver de nuevo a su amigo en una situación como esa que podría haber cobrado su vida.
Hablemos de como Chrome se cargó todo al hombro y pudieron construir un taladro gracias a que armó el mapa de pasos y todo. Él es sumamente capaz de lograr lo que se propone sino se pone trabas, está aprendiendo, pero ya prácticamente ha llegado a igualar a Senku y es super bonito de ver.
Después viene el caos al completo. Ryusui y Senku en la avioneta contra Stanley (Senku bajate de ahí por dios), el barco siendo atacado y el grupo de Chrome secuestrando a Xeno. Me emociona mucho cuando suceden este tipo de batallas en Dr. Stone porque por un lado es todo un caos, pero super placentero de ver, además de mega épico. Ahora veremos como se desarrollan las cosas porque, teniendo en cuenta la mala suerte de Senku, no creo que sea tan fácil escapar de Stanley como tienen previsto.

Kết thúc cuộc chiến nhanh hơn mình nghĩ. Phong cách chiến đấu đậm chất người hiện đại: đa dạng phong cách từ trên cạn, trên không cho đến dưới nước. Chưa kể phong cách thương lượng và giao trả con tin rất đậm chất ngoại giao giữa các đế quốc thời 1900s.
Cái kết cũng trọn vẹn, dù phải nói lời chia tay với các thành viên bị phe Xeno bắt làm con tin như Yuzuriha hay Nicki. Để xem hành trình tiếp theo ở Nam Mỹ sẽ như thế nào.

4/5 Volume 19 is another exciting volume wrapping up the events in North America. The plot almost seems to be going too fast at this point. Senku finishes his battle with Dr. Xeno with some flashy and interesting sequences but damned if it isn’t over before it begins. I had to go over that last chapter again just to see what was going on.

Que manera de cerrar un arco.
Realmente todo lo que implica el final de este arco es importante y demuestra la implicado que está Senku para seguir avanzando.
Es difícil ver qué el equipo se separa y en especial la separación de Taiju y Yuzuriha me parece de un peso emocional impresionante, aunque no se muestra explícitamente ese dolor, se entiende que cuando Taiju dice su nombre la separación duele y uno entiende.
La fundación de la ciudad del maíz con Nikki a la cabeza es un acierto total, y como se da se siente muy natural.
Ahora el equipo de Senku debe recorrer el mundo con Stanley a sus espaldas.
Espero con ansias los siguientes tomos.

A good final battle with Dr. Xeno and I do like it does end with diplomacy as it kind of fits with them getting closer to modern day in terms of development. I also like that Chrome gets a chance to shine in the spotlight as it was him that ultimately won the day for the Kingdom of Science.

This was fun to read and I found it interesting too. Both science and stratagem win the day and I loved the moment that Luna asked out Senku it was so funny too. Even it's end was interesting too.
