All I Wanted Was Dmitri. And What I Got Instead Was Terror.
My name is Marlene Smith. I spent most days with friends, shopping, and doing my homework- everything a typical seventeen year old high school senior would be expected to do. There is nothing particularly special about me except that maybe I am reasonably popular and more concerned with standing up for those who couldn’t stand up for themselves than being an example of the modern-day mean girl. Life was splendidly normal.
That is until the elusive Dmitri Holin moved into town. He was as handsome as he was mysterious. Brazen as he was bold. Completely and hopelessly charming. And every single girl in school wanted to be the one he called “babe.” I wanted him, too. I wanted him so badly.
So when he asked me to come over to his house and hang out, I lost it. This guy was THE epitome of all things cool and reckless and he wanted to hang out with ME. What teen girl wouldn’t want an adventurous snack like him?
How was I supposed to know that one afternoon would lead me down a black hole with no bottom in sight? How was I supposed to know that just on the other side of lust and desire was a dark, dark underworld of evil? And who would save me from it?
Yes this is actually good for teens to read especially since it shows what can happen in a split second. You should never lie and sneak to a boys house as you'll never know what your walking into.
However, your left hanging about what is going to happen next.
Reading one setting. Very scary that stuff like this can happen so easy and we all know people in government do horrible things so this is not unimaginable. I don’t get why the parents wouldn’t believe her! That is blowing my mind.

This is the first half of a story about the type of stupid girl who goes into the woods alone at night wearing only her underwear in horror films. She saves the world despite being dim-witted, emotional, and unlucky.
Unless you want to hunt down the grammatical errors, there's no reason to read this book. It isn't interesting, informational, inspiring, or, despite best efforts, iconoclastic.
This Was a good short story but it has the ability to become a fab series.I don't think we know enough about trafficking & as this book shows it's easier to not know or want to know .Taylor Ann Stone what a good story & Author to look out for⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is the first book that I have read by this author MJ Creek and Taylor Ann Stone and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very easy to read and it's a page-turner so it's definitely worth reading. I'm looking forward to reading number two Story of Justice.
It was a decent read. I was confused about how her parents didn't go to the said friends house when she went missing as well as how no one found anything from the house she was kept held up at.
It started off action packed and a bit predictable but it started great. It was a little chaotic through out the book almost like it was unorganized. It was a good concept but i feel like it wasn’t properly edited/published. I really like all the twist and the “who can you trust”. I made many highlights on my kindle with how many errors/grammar issues there was. Both the first and second were quick easy reads. Recommend if you’re looking for a filler between books.
I found this book riveting and this is something that could happen for real to anyone. Our government is so different. So many 😈 evil people out there to hurt innocent people and this book makes you think Noone is safe. Make wise choices
