Moving from Fear to Freedom: A Woman's Guide to Peace in Every Situation

Rate this book
Fear was not part of God's original agenda for his creation. It slithered onto the scene when Adam and Eve sinned, causing a tear in their relationship with God. And even though fear touches every life and can still debilitate people today, the news isn't all bad. Popular speaker and author Grace Fox demonstrates how believers can face their fear and actually let it be a catalyst for change. Readers will learn how to stop hiding from God and instead develop a deeper relationship with Him. This is what she calls "the upside of fear": When we cry out to God for help, He answers, and we experience Him in new ways. Each chapter highlights a particular area where readers can begin to experience freedom from fears about their personal identity, their finances, their kids, the future, and more.

THIS BOOK IS A LIFE CHANGING!

Based on a scientific study: "More women report experiencing high levels of anxiety than men: In 2022/23, an average of 37.1% of women and 29.9% of men reported high levels of anxiety."

This book treats fear and anxiety in a very simple and practical way: TRUST GOD! and this simple act of faith will change your life for ever!

We translated this book in Romanian. It is a good book and a great blessing for women.
In the beginning is not so promising , but in the end is better.

I initially bought this book for my grandmother, who is in her mid-80s, but after seeing how deeply it moved her—so much so that she kept asking if I had started it too—I decided to get my own copy. We ended up reading it at the same time, and I’m so glad we did. 'Moving from fear to freedom' isn’t just a book; it’s a spiritual companion that consistently draws you back to the Lord and to Scripture in a way that’s both tender and trustworthy.

Grace Fox approaches the subject of fear with compassion and clarity, touching on real-life themes many of us wrestle with: anxiety about the children, fear of the future, regret from the past, and my personal favourite—aging. Each chapter speaks gently but directly, not just offering comfort, but also biblical truth and practical steps toward freedom.

While a few verses may feel taken slightly out of context, I appreciated that there’s still plenty of Scriptural foundation for deeper personal study. Rather than spoon-feeding neat answers, the book invites you to press in closer to God. It also shares stories—honest and relatable ones—that help you realise how common fear really is, and how varied its causes can be. Some stories felt close to my own experiences; others opened my eyes to struggles I hadn’t considered.

At the end of many chapters, you’ll find suggested steps forward, reflective prayers, and rich biblical promises. Grace Fox also includes quotes, article or book recommendations, and space for spiritual reflection. The tone remains gentle but purposeful, and I especially valued the balance of encouragement and challenge—it comforts without becoming sentimental.

For anyone longing to face fear through faith, not formulas, this is a book that invites rather than instructs, encourages rather than overwhelms. Whether you're in the thick of fear or walking alongside someone who is, this book can be a balm to the soul and a nudge toward greater trust in the Lord.

Since August 1, I have been doing a day-by-day study of Grace Fox’s Moving From Fear to Freedom. That, in itself, has been a review of sorts. It’s also identified some key problems still lurking beneath the surface in me.

The DVD comes with a workbook. That workbook is indepth and can be in no way simply a feel-good topical study. It refreshes with the light of truth. I would reccomend this study for any retreat or women’s Bible Study. It identifies both common and serious fears.

This DVD Study will be given away as a door prize at one of my Praise and Coffee meetings. Maybe God will bless someone who needs to hear Grace Fox’s message by supernaturally choosing a name from the bucket at the gathering?

Why not?

It’s happened before with another giveaway. Someone who needed to hear God’s promises that day got drawn. You could not call that a coincidence.

I was given a complimentary copy of this DVD & Study Guide set from the author in exchange for posting the author’s interview on my blog. This blog tour is managed by Christian Speaker Services (www.ChristianSpeakerServices.com).

I'm currently reading this for my Women's Faith Focus. I have really been enjoying it so far. We just did the chapter on Our Kid's Well Being. So hard to think that there is someone who can love my child more than me, but God does. One part that will stick with me from that chapter is: " We often tell our kids, "God has a special purpose for your life." Truth is, He has a special purpose for moms too. " pg 43. Regardless of whatever else we think, God gave us our children and He gave us to them as their parents. What an amazing thing.
