Very short book, not super-informative, but interesting from the time of WWI on. It is definitely an introduction, but complete by no means. No maps, for example, which are extremely important when discussing a place whose boundaries have shifted so many times.
There's probably no better book about Czech history, and a little bit of Slovak too, that is this concise and brief but overall, clear and easy to understand. A pity is not, apparently printed anymore…
Not a bad little book, very biased though. It was written in 1947 so the anti-German feeling is understandable. The author is very pro-slavic union (aka Russianophile). I learned a little more about Bohemia. It's a 2 day intro book.
