A young scientist Nie Zheng encounters a strange fox-shaped meteorite during a fieldwork outing in the woods. That begins his surreal but fateful relationship with a little feral child he picks up. The little fox by the name of Xin starts her journey learning the language of cats, then slowly picks up the language of humans while developing a relationship with Nie Zheng. Through the power of communication, she walks into his heart across the boundaries of differences.
If love is a fire that engulfs human emotions like an incinerator, rendezvous is the boundary that leads to the fairytale ending of romance.
Handcraft artist Din Rou is known as the 'sly fox' by her enemies. Her coincidental encounter with a certain someone in Paris marks the moment she fell in love-and the beginning of separation. A fleeting tale of love that passes by like a shooting star, only to leave vivid memories in the hearts of the young lovers.
The passing of stars indicates the start of new love. May the pursuers of true love be blessed by the starry skies to join their beloved in the romantic land of their dreams.
.... The cover art is the only thing i liked about this story wow. When they warn you that this story is Bad Ending...
I was never invested in any of the romances, primary or secondary. I have very little sympathy for cheaters in the secondary romance and as for the primary i could not understand how they even fell in love in the first place. All the philosophical musings of love in the narration rang hollow to me bc i was never sold on the romance itself based on character interaction. Grand declarations of love do not make up for a complete lack of chemistry

A slow read with some memorable characters and quotes. That ending tho. No one ended up happy really except the losers in the love triangles for Fox Xin and Nie Zhang’s arc (so I guess technically they were the winners in the end haha), and no one in general for Din Rou’s arc.
Honestly not sure how I feel about Vulpecula. This is definitely not a “love conquers all” read :p Love that cover art tho!
