This was going well . This reminded me of a wattpad mafia story with the man being a man hoe and not keeping his dick in his pants and the ow.
Two minutes later, I’m leaning back in my office chair while Hayley kneels in front of me, her pink painted lips wrapped around my dick, worshiping it like it’s a fucking god. DNF @ 40% By now, I still don't like the spineless heroine and the bad ass Alpha, mafia Hero lasted for all of 5 pages before he melted into cliche butter around her. Plotting was boring and predictable. It isn't keeping my interest so I'm moving on.

"Protect me" is the story of Damon and Keira. I really enjoyed reading this book.l Damon was a merciless killer but Keira got under his skin and turned him into a marshmallow. Blood, death, violence, steam, love and a happily-ever-after and you have a nice darker romance story for your pass-time!

Great, Great short novel! Favorite of the series so far.
I loved Damon Rossi as the asshole quasi-mob boss owner of a strip joint in town and Keira is the virginal innocent girl whose brother was involved in shady shit to put her through school.
After her brother is killed she goes to Damon for help and protection. At first he is very againt the idea of babysitting his once friends naive and fragile little sister, but he soon developed a liking for his charge. Sparks fly as well as bullets!
Loved this addition to this series! There was only one reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars -
We learned a lot more about Xander in the end of this one and I am psyched to read his book - What an interesting man!!

I don't know why authors think writing their heroes being pimps is... attractive.
If you, as a man, make your living by selling women and little girls, you are a loser...
This spineless, virgin heroine does not have her priorities in order.

Also i think sometimes these authors forget who their main demo is.

I’ve come to the conclusion that JLB’s writing style is not for me. Once again the supposedly Macho alpha H comes across like a sniveling snot nosed bratty teenager. He’s constantly telling us how big and bad he is. Dude if you’re all that then show us. Talk is cheap!One word to sum up this book— immature.

I am loving J.L. Becks new books. There is just something about these new books and the way she is writing that I can't seem to put these books down.
In the second book to this standalone series, we get Damon from the last book. He is not a nice guy at all. Damon is an arrogant, womanizing, jerk. He has almost no soul until Keria walks in.
Keria is in bad shape and is in need of help. She is told to go to Damon to get that help. What she doesn't realize is she might have just walked into the wolves den. So will Damon be her guardian angel or will she have to walk with the devil to get out alive?
I can not wait to see where J.L. and C. come up with next.

This is my first book reading JL Beck co authoring. True to her style this book grabbed me from the first chapter until the end!
This book is the second in the series but can be read as a stand alone, as I didn’t read the first book.
Kiera finds herself alone in the world with only one person she’s allowed to trust Damon Rossi!
Damon Rossi is taken aback when he has to keep this Kiera alive from someone he knows.
Damon and Kiera have awesome chemistry that turns to more pretty quickly.
The story flowed gracefully and had a plot twist at the end. Awesome read!

Review I liked:
This dark romance between Keira a young woman who is on the run to find the one man who has to protect her from her brother's murder. Damon Rossi is the devil himself and when he meets Keira his world is turn upside down as he makes good on his promise to her brother. The chemistry and passion between these two is instantaneous and he now has to protect her from his brother who planned everything to get Damon back into the family. Things are not what they seem and danger now surrounds the Rossi brothers, who will survive the coming battle.

2 story in Broken Hero's Series, OMG Damon and Keira story was one sizzling HOT STEAMY read why did it have to end, They have insta attraction that makes chemistry off the hook from the moment they meet. Hello fellow readers. I wanted to provide my feedback on this book. I won’t go into specific book details in case you still want to read just overall opinions.
I want to start off by saying that this book (series) had potential. There is definitely something there but the execution was less than stellar. I have listed some of the main issues I have with this book, but please note that I do enjoy a good dark romance and mafia romance book so my opinion is based off of the story, not the content.
1. I have a big issue with weak heroines. And each h (for each book) are almost the same. Small, frail, weak. Does what they are told (even when they know someone is being hurt).
Above that, to me a weak h means a week storyline. Who wants to read about a doormat?
2. The hero’s (speaking for the series). If you can call them a “hero”. I love a rough, tuff, sexy alpha male as much as anyone. What I don’t love is someone who forces themselves on another and says they couldn’t control themselves. Bit*h please!
Also, I would have liked it if the hero’s had any redeeming qualities. Other than saying they care for the h.
3. The storyline. It felt was to unrealistic. There were times I could connect with the characters but then the story would take a turn and loose me all over again. It also felt extremely rushed and at times I felt that I was missing something.
4. The storyline pt 2. I need to take a min to talk about the whole Virgin theme in this book (the series). You have a freshly turned 18 year old virgin and the way the writer had the h reacting kinda made me feel gross and wanting to explain what Stockholm’s syndrome was to the h. I do feel this could have gone over better in the story if the characters were a bit older.
Overall, I would not recommend this book or the series to anyone. The potential was there, just unfulfilled.
Ps: this is the 3rd book I have read by the author and to be honest, they are all the same story but with different names. Read one and you’ve read them all.

E' lui l’artefice del sanguinoso omicidio e Damon non ha dubbi, prima o poi, si presenterà per riprendersi Keira e non sarà certo delicato con lei. Damon ha le parole e le movenze di un capo senza cuore ma è figlio di un uomo che l’aveva cresciuto a pane e violenza sin da piccolo. È affascinante il rapporto tra i fratelli Damon e Xander, quest’ultimo l’aveva salvato da piccolo per poi riservargli odio e invidia da grande. Keira si trova tra due fuochi, la protezione e una parvenza d’amore da parte di Damon e la paura e la morte del folle Xander dall’altra.
E proprio lui sarà il protagonista del prossimo libro e io sono curiosa di conoscere chi e come riuscirà a farlo capitolare rendendolo più umano. Ci sono elementi contrastanti su di lui che mi incuriosiscono oltre misura.
Una bella coppia che da vita a delle intriganti e peccaminose scene hot.
Per chi ha letto il primo libro lo consiglio perché c’è un bel miglioramento e per chi non ha ancora letto niente di questa serie, fatelo perché i Rossi promettono proprio bene.

This book was absolutely intense and exciting. Keira is shocked to find her brother dead in her apartment. There's a note waiting for her telling her that whoever did this will be back for her. Her brother did tell her if something like this ever happened to go to a man named Damon Rossi and he would protect her. Well when she finally meets Damon she can't believe her brother sent her to the devil himself. Damon has no time to offer free protection to some chick from the bad guys that are after her, he figures he can get something out of her for his trouble. Grab this intensely exciting book and find out what happens between these two. I'm looking forward to the next book called Keep Me to get Xander's (Damon's brother) story as well!!

What an outstanding story. This is the second one in the series and boy is it good. This one starts towards the end of the first one. Yes, you can read it without reading the first one but boy does it make it even better to read the first one then this one. This one has so many twists and turns and the suspense and drama that comes along with it. This has you on the edge of your seat and I just couldn't put down till I reached the end. I just had to know what happened and how it ends. This is just amazing and addictive. This is defiantly worth reading and doesn't disappoint. The characters are extremely well developed and I loved Damon and his attitude. He has this attitude that is just perfect for this book. I voluntarily review an advanced reader copy of this book.

This is book two in this series. It can totally be read as a standalone. Book one was good but I thought this one was even better. It was darker, grittier and more intense. Damon and Keira are opposites. Both have complicated lives and they are complex characters. Damon is not a good guy but I liked the softer side that Keira brought out in him. Keira was sympathetic and I liked the emotional turmoil she suffered through over the feelings that Damon brought out in her. I could have done without the OW scene but this just seems to be an ongoing trend that seems to pop up in book after book, from author after author. I'm not a fan of it but what can you do? If you enjoy a dark, edgy, emotional and passionate romance, you do not want to miss this book. This is my independent, impartial review.

Damon is a criminal. Cold, selfish, and used to having his way. He knows that getting close to someone will be a way to let your enemies in. However, Keira quickly slides into his heart. Damon Rossi is a ruthless leader, and an even more ruthless man to my body, and heart. This book is a hard one for me to review, I liked the story line, it was interesting, dark and dramatic, but I just couldn't connect with the characters. Keira was so innocent it was sickly sweet (Understandably at 18 years old) but so much sugar gave me a cavity, Damon was just warped from his childhood. The sex was hot, but they were in love within 24 hours, really? at least give it a week, to go from Damon not wanting to have her around (As he is emotionless) and her not wanting to be with him, to go to full on possessive deep love that they will kill for each other within 24 hours just because she gave him her V card, to she's going to be his wife after a week WTF did I miss?. And then the book just ends and after looking at the books in the series I cannot even work out which one to read next? Where is the carry on from this book? Which is a pity because the story line was really good.

She does that and suddenly her whole life is. changing. Violence, hate and murder and then there is Damon also a criminal but there is something about him. Can he keep her safe and can she trust him ? This book was amazing. So exciting from the beginning till the end. I just couldn't put it down, and I can't wait to the next one. I just loved it

When a horrible tragedy happens to Keira she is on the run for her life. Her brother sent her somewhere to keep her safe and there she meets Damon Rossi. Keira comes into Damon’s life like a hurricane but he decides he has no other choice than to protect. His only problem is keeping it professional and not falling for the beauty. This is the 2nd book in the broken hero’s series but can be read as a standalone. Keira and Damon are amazing together! This is a quick insta love read and told in dual POV.

I just couldn't get into this one. I listened to the audio and while I didn't mind the female narrator the male narrator was all wrong. Damon Rossi is supposed to be a BA mafioso and the narrator just took all that away. His voice was robotic. So while I liked the storyline I think this one would have been better as a read and not a listen.

This book was lowkey weirding me out with how fast the relationship went from fear to love. I am all for a dark romance but this wasn’t that. It was just dark. Not my favorite but still good. Ended on a cliffhanger that left the author a lot of options on where to go from here but not so many that if you have read a few mafia romances that you can’t take a wild guess. The book was ok and enjoyable to read as far as the writing of it but I think the characters and plot were not aligned as well as it could be if that makes sense.
