He thought he struck it rich in the goldfields of Colorado. Then he was passing through a small town in New Mexico when he got into a gunfight. A gunfight that ended with him acquiring majority control in one of the biggest ranches in the territory, and came to live with four of the prettiest women in the state, but the one he falls for is the widow of the man he killed. Add the acquisition of an unexpected daughter, a band of desperadoes operating in a remote part of the ranch, and his life became very interesting.
This is a story with all of the old tales of cowboys. Hard as steel, tough as nails, worked cattle all day, partied in town whenever they could get there. There were thieves, murders, hangings and gun battles. All the action you could want.
Yet there was also love of family. Wonderful young women and a history of it all.
Zeke Walters and his brother Brad hit it big in the mines. They came to a town to enjoy some female company. And that is where the Adventure begins. I Loved this book. The characters good or bad were well written. This author L. Holden Buff is one of my favorites.
A lot of grammar and spelling errors. The story is good. Don't know when the author wrote this by their other books have less errors. Worth the time I have read it twice.
I loved this book! Yes there is some misspelled word's but the storyline is incredible! It was so much like gathering around the kitchen table after a meal as my grandfather told us family history or when his three sons and him chased after wild cattle!
