Disney Encanto tells the tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a magical house, in a vibrant town, in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift from super strength to the power to heal--every child except one, Mirabel. But when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she, the only ordinary Madrigal, might just be her exceptional family's last hope. Girls and boys ages 3 to 7 will love this 8x8 storybook based on the animated feature film, in theaters November 24th, 2021.

About the author

Susana is a creative producer, bilingual author, and designer who resides in Miami, Florida. She has authored and published a variety of works, including poetry, stories, and illustrated books for children.

Her works have been recognized in international literary competitions and have been published in several countries. Additionally, Susana is a member of Hispanic Heritage Literature Organization / Milibrohispano and the International Society of Latin Authors (ISLA).

One of his most remarkable achievements is the creation of a bilingual children's series called Lala the Lizard®~ Lala la Lagartija. This series has received several accolades, including recognition at the International Latino Book Awards, Readers Favorite, Purple Dragonfly Awards, and, most recently, at the Latino Books into Movies contest. The series has the potential to become an animated show.

Susana has been collaborating with Disney Publishing Worldwide since 2021, creating original stories based on the film Encanto, which was inspired by her native country, Colombia. Her stories have been translated into multiple languages and published under the Disney label in countries like Portugal, France, England, Australia, Poland, Argentina, and others.

Susana was awarded the Vallecaucano Order of Merit by the Governor of the Department of Valle del Cauca, Clara Luz Roldán, in recognition of her efforts towards promoting, preserving, and strengthening the cultural sphere of the region. She received the award after participating in the Seventh Edition of the Cali Book Fair.

This book is full of joy and magic. I loved it! I consider reading this type of short story is not just for children but for everyone because you learn values and love for the family.
I would recommend it and show it to my goddaughter 2 years old, she will love the illustrations!

I chose this book because I wanted the movie to be all in Spanish. The stickers are a nice bonus. I enjoyed reading the story in both languages. But I wanted more of the details from the movie.
