This is SUCH a good book for creators. This is a book about embracing your home and yourself, with topics like food, interior design, and how to embrace your creativity. It's chockfull of Elizabeth Gray's gorgeous art with some helpful tips and inspiration. I want her to be my best friend IRL. PLUS it comes with bonus gifts in the back pocket and it was an amazing surprise. I can't wait to go back through and work through all of the exercises to become a happier homebody.
This book was amazing! So lighthearted and fun and really focused on self care and enjoying your space at home! I LOVED IT! I poured through it and I can’t wait to go back and do all of the activities…slowly and mindfully!
I loved the design and overall message of this book. I'm a huge fan of Elizabeth Gray's lettering and artistic vision. She's amazing. This book had great interactive pieces and opportunities reflect and create meaning, even a Spotify playlist-- awesome! If you're a homebody or know someone who is, this is the perfect book for them.
Elizabeth Gray has created this fantastic grown-up version of a coloring and activity book for introverts (and extroverts too). This book is a lovely reminder to ourselves to take care of our minds, bodies, and souls. Lovely lettering pages with inspirational quotes, activities to do when you want to stay home and veg, and a well-rounded book of fun things.
I can see myself opening up this book when I'm having a rough day just to hear some soothing words and remind myself to have grace with me.
What a gorgeous book! I found myself interacting with all of the prompts, and I know I will refer back to them and this book in the future. The lettering is so stunning, I almost wish it came with a little poster! But I can’t complain because the author already so generously gifts us a sun-catcher, drink coaster, nail art stickers, and three bookmarks!
The artwork is gorgeous, no surprise there. Each section has delightful reminders and inspiration to care for myself, my loved ones, and my sacred space.
As I turned the pages I kept asking myself, “How are she and I not friends yet?!” The answer is clear: we’re both at home too often for our paths to ever cross!
2.5 stars. First off, this book is beautiful. Perfect for any coffee table. It has some fun prompts and adorable artwork, lettering. I think I was expecting this to be an homage to introverts. The title does include "Field Guide" so that's my mistake. But I never realized introverts need prompts on how to enjoy time indoors or how to nurture their already established self.
This book isn’t anything new or revolutionary, but that is also not the author’s intention. The book was an incredibly relaxing, accepting, loving read. I love how this book drew me into its beauty and out of the business of day to day life.
Loved it! Helped me embrace my love for being a homebody and helpful sections about self care. Had good suggestions. Definitely a book to look back on, like a workbook. Especially the sections where the author asks you to fill in some thoughts and activities.
