From USA Today Bestselling Author Ella Frank comes a small town, second chance romance.
Small towns are definitely not for me. Probably because I was born in one, raised in one, and eventually run out of one. The understanding was that I would one day return to Chamberlin California. After all, it is my namesake. What my father didn’t count on however, was that once he sent me away, I would never come back—at least not until he was gone.
Which brings me to now, his wake, at the family winery that was supposed to be mine. It also brings me to her. The sweet girl I left behind. The girl who has since grown into the most beautiful woman I’ve ever laid eyes on—Laurel Anderson.
She’s looking at me as though she wishes I was the one she watched get buried this morning. But she’s out of luck. I’m alive and kicking. I’m also stuck in this town with nothing to do but wait until the will is read.
Well, nothing to do but see if I can seduce the pure and passionate Laurel, and change that anger I see in her eyes to something just as fiery…desire.
***
The last time I saw Noah Chamberlin, I was a doe-eyed innocent and he was the boy of my dreams. My future was all planned out down to the wedding dress, until one morning I woke up and he was gone.
You’d think after all these years, I’d feel the same blind indignation and rage that has haunted me since that day. Instead, the second I set eyes on him again, I felt something altogether unwanted and unexpected—lust.
If the rumors are true, he’s only going to be in Chamberlin for a few days. I can handle that, as long as he stops looking at me as though he’s thinking about the last time we were together.
But when Noah’s forced to stay and run the family business, it puts us in dangerously close proximity. And in a town this small, that can only mean one thing—trouble.

I am bit confuse with Pure Seduction. From the title itself, it promising something hot and sexy. Second chance romance. The audiobook is 7 hours long.
The story is not hot nor sexy nor heart wrenching. The story is rather plain. This is my first read by Miss Frank. The writing is good. Easy to follow. Not so much twist/ drama in the story either. Even with the last bomb revealation Lauren dropped at the end, still...not much drama.

Noah Chamberlin is the oldest of four siblings from a small town in California called Chamberlin that was the namesake of his wealthy family that owned the Chamberlin Winery. He was sent away years ago and then swore to never return, but when his father passes away he returns to town to tie up some loose ends. He plans to be gone in a few days, but nothing in life often goes as planned, including the future he'd once envisioned for himself. He's shocked when he runs into the girl he thought he would one day marry. There was a time when he believed Laurel Anderson was destined to be his forever. Now that she's right in front of him and even more beautiful than he remembers, he hopes to reconnect with her. She was the one that got away, and still haunted his dreams.
Laurel is flustered and angry when the long lost Chamberlin son returns looking perfect as ever. All grown up, and all man, Noah Chamberlin is intense and all too tempting. She knew him when he was a teenager and hadn't seen him since they graduated high school. She wasn't ready to revisit this ghost from the past. It'd been a while since she'd allowed herself to think about him, but her fate was sealed years ago, as she'd never been able to resist his charms. There was too much history between them, and she couldn't allow him to disrupt her life. He's only there temporarily, but soon her past and present collide as he goes from just a memory to being around every day. As all the heartbreak and feelings she'd buried long ago return to the surface will Laurel finally get her happy ending she deserves or a broken heart?
-Noah was now a devastatingly attractive man. One who had the ability to make my pulse race and my brain short-circuit the second he stepped into a room.
-I think I forgot what it feels like to really want someone.
-"What are you doing?" "Getting a little closer, so I can memorize every inch of you for when I'm upstairs in bed tonight. I want to get it just right."
-"This mouth of yours has haunted me. The way it feels, the way it tastes."
-She was too fucking sweet, and too damn sexy. A combination of the woman I now knew and the girl I remembered.
Pure Seduction (Chamberlin Brothers #1) by Ella Frank is an all new m/f sexy, small town second chance romance about first loves, forgiveness, and family. It's full of emotion, angst, secrets, lies, passion, and explosive chemistry. I was intrigued from the very beginning, and love this new world Ella's created surrounded by the beautiful California vineyards. I can't wait for the other Chamberlin siblings books! I need more!!!
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Sadly, I fear I may be in the minority here. I love Ella Frank and her books, but this one didn’t capture me. While I was intrigued with Noah and Laurel’s story when it started, I found that I had more questions than answers by the end of the book. Their story began in high school until they were ripped apart by Noah’s father. Over 17 years later, Noah is back and they just seemed to pick up where they left off. Yes, I get that they are still attracted to each other after all this time but, it seemed like they never addressed the time and distance between them until after they were basically forced to. During his time away, Noah appeared to make a life for himself, a good one, free from the controlling hands of his father. Did he never think about reaching out to Laurel to see what happened to her? Did he ever plan to go back for her? There were just so many questions for me and the fact that they addressed none of this before getting back together dampened any romantic exchanges between the two of them for me. Instead, I found myself wondering who the other couples might be in the future books for this series. I’m not sure if the future books will answer any of these questions, or if they are intended to as, I’m sure, we’ll be meeting a new couple. I’m not giving up on the series, this is just not one of my faves from her.
To start, I ABSOLUTELY love Ella Frank for her MM romances, this author writes the MOST AMAZING MM romance books, unfortunately, for me I am not a fan of her MF romances and I just could not get into them.
I know I am in the minority here with my rating and opinion of this book but this book was just very boring, it lacked the romance and I was struggling with a connection between Noah and Laurel.
Laurel gave in way too easily. I hated that Harry was able to manipulate them even from the grave and the Ryan thing was just mean. Harry seemed to play a very integral part in all their lives and the answers to many questions was just not answered.
I think to make the story interesting the animosity between Justin and Noah was created when to me it was childish and baseless.
The Biggie/Kicker for me was, how the Fu$k did his family not know Jake was Noah's son!!!!!!! this really was a head shaking moment!!!!.
Sorry, but Ella Frank is a kick ass MM romance writer but for me she misses the mark completely on her MF romances.
4 Epic Love And New Series Stars * * * * Spoiler Free- A Quick Review It is no surprise when I say, Ella Frank is a master storyteller. Although it has been a bit since I have read her, in this new series opener, her craftsmanship shines through.
Pure Seduction is the first entry to the new series involving the Chamberlain Family. The father, Harry, is a man who wishes to control all things, all destinies of his children and anyone else he wishes. The winery bearing the family name and crest is everything to this man and there is nothing that will stop him from his goals.
The family has three sons and a daughter all living in the town named after them. This book lays out the path for the series with multiple dynamics and focuses mainly on the oldest son, Noah, and his high school love, Laurel. They were wonderful together and of course, came from opposite places in the world. Noah, the heir of the winery, and Laurel coming from the other side of town. They loved each other and planned on being together but Harry had other ideas.
Like a small town Romeo and Juliet, they are separated and end up living very different lives than they thought they would. Noah left after graduation never to return. Laurel went to work for the winery.
Now Noah is back due to the death of Harry and the reading of the will. Noah plans to find out what is the deal and get back to his business in Italy. All the other children are there as well as his mom. When everything is read, it seems like Noah's plans will have to change and this puts him directly in the path of seeing Laurel every day.
This beginning of an epic tale works on most levels. There is enough to intrigue, have curious thoughts about all of the siblings, and make the reader want to know more about this Chamberlain family. Ms. Frank has done her job well planting enough seeds to grow.
This book is highly rated and I’m sitting here wondering why?. The heroine spent the majority of the book keeping her secret kid from the hero. She doesn’t even bother saying anything to him until he figured it out himself. For 17 years she kept quiet. His father bought her silence, blackmailed her. What I don’t get is why she continued keeping her child a secret even after the old man died. This book makes no sense at all. If that wasn’t enough the chemistry between them was nonexistent. There was more chemistry between her and Ryan than her and what’s his name? I forgot his name. 😬 she struggled all of her life while he got to go to college, get an amazing job that he loved, didn’t want to return not even for the “love of his life” while the heroine had to get his father to agree to give her a job. There was a lot of questions unanswered.

Fab small-town, second chance, surprise-filled romance…
This is the first in the Chamberlin Brothers series and I’m hooked already! Noah and Laurel were in love but they were young and caught up in family drama of the first order. We start in the present and the surprises don’t stop as I smiled and frowned, laughed out loud and felt their pain. The emotions were all over the place but the story was not as it, chapter by chapter, revealed love, betrayal, family crazy and all the drama that life could possibly bring. I loved the characters and their ability to make me laugh and go misty at will. Darn heart... And fab storytelling!
This author is insta-click crack and Noah and Laurel are just the latest reason why! ~Diane, 5 stars
When this series was announced, I sat up and took notice. When it was announced that it was taking place at a winery, the grabby hands started. Not that I wouldn’t have been making grabby hands anyway since I’ve been a long time fan girl of the authors words, but the winery/small town setting was definitely a bonus, and I have to say I NEED more. I was hooked from the first chapter and while I was not all that pleased when there were no more words to read, I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book!
I adored Noah and Laurel. ADORED. Noah is hard working, determined, charming and stubborn. While he doesn’t back down from his convictions, he does know that there are certain things he could have handled better and wants to do right by those he loves. Laurel is sassy, sweet and strong. She’s been through a lot, but she loves her life and wants to live it in the best way possible.
Their journey to their HEA was a lot of fun. Despite what happened between them as teenagers and the time that they’d been apart, Noah and Laurel just clicked. There was some awkwardness at their first collision, but they had a flow that totally worked for me. Their bantering was a lot of fun and their chemistry was off the charts. There are quite a few bombs that drop on them both, but I really like how they worked through them and love where they were at in the end.
This was a fun read, not that I’m surprised, but I really enjoyed the path that the author took with this book. It was not only a great second chance romance, but a great start to the series and has me quite curious about all that will be happening with the Chamberlin family. And speaking of the family and a few of the characters we got to meet. I loved Ryan, Bree, Willa, Jake and Justin and Miss Betty is a hoot. But the crazy thing is that I really want to know about Harry and Emily. I’m not ever going to be a fan of the man, but I’m hoping that we will get more insight into the man so that maybe the questions rolling around in my head might get answered.
This is book one in a new series from Ella Frank about a family and their winery. It has been a minute since she has written a M/F romance.
Noah Chamberlin is back home in the small town of Chamberlin, California, after nearly two decades of living in Tuscany. He is only planning to stay for his father's funeral and go back to his normal life and career.
Laurel Anderson was the girl he loved but had to leave. He never forgot her, but is surprised to see she never left. She has her own career now. She is smart, dedicated, and totally thrives in small-time life.
When Noah gets news that derails his plans, Laurel being close is a bonus. He knows what he wants. He is determined to get it. He is charming, handsome, tempting, regretful, and honest. Their connection and feelings did not just disappear with time and distance, but they are also different people now. But they had great rapport and chemistry and I really liked them together.
Laurel has some secrets. And she has been burned before and is no longer the innocent, trusting girl of his past. Can he find a way to pull her back in? And if so, does he have any intention of keeping her?
This is a sweet, sexy, romantic, coming home, small town, second chance romance. It also introduces Noah's family Ryan, Justin, Bree, and their matriarch. We also meet Laurel's best friend, Willa. I can already see another romance developing. I enjoyed the small town and winery setting and the family has interesting dynamics.
Ella Frank is one of my go to authors. I don't even need to read a synopsis to know, I will read anything she writes. So, when I heard she was coming out with a new MF series, I was thrilled! A second chance romance centered around a beautiful winery. Bring it on!
Pure Seduction has so many wonderful attributes. I loved the description of the family's winery and The Chamberlin family themselves. I found all the siblings so mysterious and intriguing.
Pure Seduction is the oldest brother Noah's story... He is unwillingly back at his family's Vinyard after his father's (who he calls Harry) death. When he was a teenager, he was forced by Harry to study abroad. Having to leave everything he loved behind, including his first love Laurel. His departure was sudden and heartbreaking for both of them. Well, Noah's return, conjured up old feelings between him and Laurel.... But many years have past and they aren't the same kids from so long ago. Laurel has been keeping a huge secret. A secret that is pretty easy to guess right from the start. (I just wonder how the family members didn't figure it out!) I liked Noah and Laurel. I would have liked their journey back to each other to have been longer. Perhaps more detailed... More getting to know each other as adults. More hashing out their past and especially more of a reaction when her secret came out.
I have a lot of unanswered questions about Harry and the Chamberlin family, but Pure Seduction is just the beginning... Hopefully everything will be revealed in time. Ella certainly laid out the ground work for the future books in the series. She gave us just enough about the siblings to have us wanting more.
Man, it has been an age since we have had an Ella Frank m/f story, and at first it felt a little weird at first diving back into that world lol
Noah and Laurel's second chance will have you smiling, ad shaking with anger, and frustrated, but most of all it will have you hoping that they can finally get their HEA.
This is also more than just a second chance romance for our lovelies, this is also a story of repairing broken relationships. There is so much going on behind the scenes of this wonderful story. I don't want to give anything away, but man there are people yo are going to love, and people you are going to absolutely loathe in this series
I loved that there is still so much attraction between our lovelies. It left me with all kinds of heart eyes!
I also get the small town vibe given off. And even tough I hate wine (that stuff is nasty), i love books set in wine country (can anyone say te cheese platters offered at wine tastings??
I am looking forward to more of this series, and hope we don't have to wait too long for the next installment.
A small town, a second chance and a love story told only in the way that Ella Frank can, Pure Seduction will give you all the feels for Noah and Laurel!!
Noah hasn't been home in over fifteen years and the only reason he is back now is because his dad died, and he knows his family needs him. When he left town all those years ago it wasn't his choice, one minute he was with the girl he wanted to spend his life with and the next he was on a plane halfway around the world. Being back after all this time is bringing back up a lot of resentment for his dad but it also bringing up the feelings for the girl he left behind all those years ago. With his first glance of Laurel, he is right back to that same kid in love. He won't be staying in town long, but he is damn certain that while he is here, he sees more of her.
Laurel hasn't seen Noah in so long that with one quick glimpse of him and she is right back to that frightened young girl that was left shattered when he left the first time. She is a grown woman now; she can handle seeing him for a couple days surely. All that changes when Noah takes over running the family vineyard for the foreseeable future and Laurel is terrified that her past and present are about to collide. If that does happen then that can only spell for disaster for everyone involved.
As Noah and Laurel navigate this new dimension to their once fiery relationship the secrets at play in this family are far bigger than anticipated. Secrets are revealed and lives are changed forever. Can these two once lovers overcome the past and get to a better future?
This was my first MF story from Ella Frank, and I was so skeptical because I fell in love with her writing with Tate and Logan as a lot of us have. Now that I have read this book I want SO MUCH MORE!! I am so excited to see what is up next for the Chamberlin Brothers.
Pure Seduction is a small town contemporary romance and the first book in Chamberlin Brothers new series by Ella Frank. It's also a second chance romance between our main characters. I have to admit it took me a while to finish reading it, just because I am easily distracted by so many books.
But anyway, I did enjoy this book, it has a bit of suspense underlying tone threw in the storyline.
Overall, it was a sweet and fast-paced narrative. I am curious how the other sibling's story will take off.
I was very excited when I heard about this new series by Ella Frank then after reading the synopsis I was even more intrigued. I’ll start by saying I love the small town dynamic and the fact that this book was centered around a winery. I mean who doesn’t love wine? Noah and Laurel were high school sweethearts whose love was interrupted by unfortunate circumstances. I really did like these two as a couple. The connection was spot on. The situation with Noah and his family however was the drama that I needed to carry me through this book. Other plot points were very predictable and the ending felt rushed. There was no true explanation as to why adult Noah didn’t try harder to be with Laurel even before the situation that brought him home. She forgave him so easily which I’m not a huge fan of. I think this book and this series has a lot of potential, but it think I need some more depth.
Noah left Chamberlin, California when he was 18-years old and never looked back. That is, until his father who he despised passed away. Noah returns and although he doesn’t want to stay long, his father has a hold over him, even after he’s died. He doesn’t expect to run into Laurel, his high school sweetheart that he left without even a goodbye. And now Laurel is the manager at his family’s winery. The very same winery that Noah is now the CEO of, meaning he and Laurel, the woman he never forgot about, will be working together.
Laurel was broken-hearted when Noah left her, but even after all these years, her feelings for him never ceased. So when Noah returns, Laurel vows she will keep her distance and not live in the past. But regardless of what her mind tells her, Laurel’s heart may not give her much of a choice...
Pure Seduction by Ella Frank is book 1 in the Chamberlin Brothers series. I love series surrounding a set of siblings, especially in a small town. Although the cover screams dark & sexy, this book wasn’t as steamy & heavy as the cover led me to believe, which isn’t a bad thing. I love that this book centers around a winery in California and I think it’ll be fun following the rest of the siblings who work there. I really enjoyed Laurel & Noah’s second chance romance, but I wish there had been more emotional buildup to them falling back in love. I enjoyed the drama and conflict in this story, even if one of the plot points was obvious (to me). I look forward to reading about who I think book 2 is about! 4/5 stars.
I took an instant liking to not just Noah and Laurel from the word go, but also the story. From the moment the story begins in Noah’s POV, you can feel the turmoil that is coming. I knew from the synopsis this would be a second chance to get it right story and I was hoping it would have that signature angst inherent in stories that deal with teenage/childhood sweethearts that think they have their entire future figured out at such a young age but … Ella Frank did not disappoint!
Ella Frank did a thorough job of incorporating all the tidbits you’d expect to read in a small town romance coupled with family drama that seems to always be the center of these stories. I was overjoyed at the choices she made in developing Noah and Laurel. I don’t want to give you plot points but know that what seems to be may not be exactly what is. Keep in mind this is the first in a series and there may be some questions that won’t get fully answered until hopefully later. That’s all I want to say about the storyline. DO with that what you will :)
This is my first MF experience with Ella, and I loved it! It’s a sweet and sexy story with the right amount of drama. It’s packed full of intrigue and emotion with characters you may or may not like but will still wonder about. I am super stoked about this world that Ella has created and I cannot wait for more!
ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed this one, but it did have a fair bit of angst for me. There was one thing I was pretty sure I was on the right track for, and waiting to find out had me on edge haha!
I liked both Noah and Laurel and found it interesting getting to know them, and to get some glimpses into their past as well. I also liked most of the secondary characters, and am looking forward to finding out more about them all.
I would've liked to have seen more scenes with Jake, especially towards the end of the book, so I hope to see more of him in the other books that are coming for this series.
Definitely enjoyed this, and looking forward to the next.
Pure Seduction kicked off the Chamberlin Brothers series with a second chance romance. Ella has this series set at a beautifully described family winery.
Noah hasn’t been home since he graduated high school and sent away. He is returning for Harry’s wake. He has been in Italy running a winery there.
Laurel is Noah’s high school love and she is managing the winery. She is holding onto a big secret.
I guessed what the secret was and where that storyline was going early on however she wrote it differently that what you see in most books. No anger at Laurel.
I absolutely got really invested in the siblings Justin, Ryan, and Briana. I think there is so much more to this story and family but we didn’t get it all in this book. I did feel like the book kinda just ended quickly. I would have liked to have seen more.
When i saw couple of weeks ago that Ella has a new series coming out i was excited and looking forward to it.
Unfortunately this book didn't wow me like many others she wrote. Don't get me wrong it's an ok book but left me with so many unanswered questions that made feel the book was unfinished.
Ella will always be one of my fave author and i will continue to read her books but this one didn't touch me and won't stay with me like many others did.
Pure Seduction, Ella Frank's new m/f novel, was a pure delight! It's no secret I'm a sucker for a second chance romance, especially between childhood/young adulthood friends, and this one was as close to perfect for me as it gets.
Because of the circumstances that tore Laurel and Noah apart when they were teens, there was potential for a lot of hurt feelings and anger when they reunited at Noah's father's funeral. While things started off a little iffy between them, I was so happy with the way Ms. Frank developed their renewed relationship. I really liked that this book wasn't filled with a lot of drama and angst, which would have made for a very different story. I adored both Laurel and Noah and I enjoyed seeing them get to know each other again, as they realized the love they shared all those years ago was still very much alive.
Passionate, sexy, and so very sweet, Pure Seduction is a wonderful start to the Chamberlin Brothers series. After loving this one so much, the pressure is on Ms. Frank- I can't wait to see what you have in store for the rest of the brothers!
This is book one in the Chamberlin siblings series.
Noah left his family and his family's wine empire years ago. More or less willingly. His horrible father forced him into the decision. We don't yet know the whys and hows. He left behind his beloved siblings, his mom and the love of his young life: Laurel. Now he's back - to his father's funeral and the reading of the will. Which he will not be happy about. None of the siblings are happy about the conditions!
Laurel has stayed in town all these years - even though they always dreamed of bigger things. But now she's working for Noah's family. Which he didn't know.
LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN ...
ADORABLE!
I just love books set in Napa - or anywhere where wine is created! ☺ And I loved that we already meet the whole family - that way we can look forward to all the stories that'll come our way!
Laurel and Noah. They see each other at the wake and it's like no time has passed. The attraction is just as huge as it used to be in highschool. But a lot has happened ... Will we get our happily ever after? Probably - it's a romance after all.
And it was such an adorable romance. Sparky, sexy, funny, basebally, winey. Full of family and anger and hope and love and pain and forgiveness. Ugh how I hate the father! What a horrible person. Laurel + Noah missed so much life together. Grr.
I wished for more pages. It was too short. I wanted more of everything. It was a bit ... no idea. The beginning dragged a bit without anything much happening. Just some sexy flirting and inheritance business. Which I still liked ... but. No idea. And then when things get interesting, it's almost over. BUT - I still liked the book very much. Can't wait to read all the other stories! Ryan is already my favorite!
Pure Seduction was a beautiful + sexy + winey + California-ish second-chance love story. Absolutely adorable!
My very first book by Ella was Exquisite many years ago, and that was the book that made me fall in love with her writing. And even though this book (and series) is way different than that one, I am reminded of why I adore everything she writes. Whether it’s m/f, m/m, or PNR she nails it every time. This book is no different. Sometimes you NEED a certain type of book to get you through tough times, or maybe you just need a break from your everyday life and this book is exactly what I needed.
Pure Seduction is a second chance romance that gave me so many feels and I was surprised by the deep emotions it brought out in me. There were some scenes that I needed to stop and take a break because my emotions just took over. And yes- this is a very sweet, sexy, small town romance but it’s also filled with some really meaningful moments that had me relating it to my own life.
It was sexy and tender and it just felt like the characters were REAL. I loved the family dynamic and I don’t know how else to say it, but I was just really into it. I can’t wait to see what’s gonna happen next in this family, because each character had their own quirks and differences and I can already sense some drama coming to this small town family in the future. I absolutely adored this book.
3.5*. 'Pure Seduction' had all the ingredients for a really great story. The title alone had me sold. However, while I did enjoy this 2nd chance romance, there were in places things that I couldn't quite understand. Would it stop me from reading the 2nd book in the series?, definitely not, because overall I did enjoy the story and am intrigued by the Chamberlin dynamics.
After 17 years Noah is back home, did he want to come home? no, he did not, if he never stepped back into Chamberlin, California he would have been happy. Unfortunately, now with the death of his father, Noah is back, hopefully just for the reading of the will, however, one thing his father wasn't, was nice, nor kind, so now it looks like Noah may be back longer than he wants. One thing Noah wasn't expecting so soon was to run into Laure, his first love, his one love. Laurel knew she was likely to see Noah, what she wasn't expecting was the instant attraction to still be alive and as strong as it was all those years ago, for the only man she had ever loved. But there are 17 years of hurt to unpack, and more secrets to be revealed. It would seem that Harry Chamberlin is still controlling everyone, even in death.
I think we are going to get some great stories with the other Chamberlin's, and am intrigued to see where this series goes.

Pure Seduction is a pure, sexy, sweet second chance romance. Noah...oh boy..that boy who went away came back as a confident, capable man who knows what he wants...Laurel. Laurel has grown into a smart, independent, knowledgeable woman who complements Noah perfectly. I loved the chemistry between these two and the flirty banter. I also thought the connection they shared from teens to the present was sweet and emotionally tugged at my heartstrings. Very entertaining start to a new small town series and I’m totally invested in the Chamberlin family. Bring the other two brothers on. I’m ready!
This was such a different story from what I’m used to with Ella, but it was such a nice surprise. Noah and Laurel got the second chance they needed to make things work. There was minimal angst, some secrets, scorching hot times, nice secondary characters and the space for more books. And I did adore Jake, he was amazing.
Was I completely in love? No. I felt like after all those years and such a short relationship prior, Noah and Laurel really had no previous connection to stand on. In addition, his family’s cluelessness and interactions felt cut short and lazy, like we weren’t getting everything we needed.
I have hopes for Ryan’s book, he seems like a nice character and Willa looks like an awesome heroine.
This is a second chance romance and honestly I was expecting a very steamy love story; it was a bit mild comparing to what Ella Frank was writing before.
I discovered this author last year and I can't get enough of her books. She has this special way to put simple words together and convey them in strong feelings and emotions.
I liked this love story but wished it was longer because I have so many unanswered questions... I don't know what to expect in the second book but I am very excited for whatever will be!
My only hope is that Ella will surprise us with more then M/F in this series! 🤞🤞🤞
This really hurts to say, I am not a big fan of this book. I found myself reading just to get thru it. The characters didn’t grab me and keep me interested. I felt like this book was too predictable and cliché. I already knew the “surprised” Noah knew nothing about. Laurel didn’t seem to put up a fight with Noah when he came back and found out he was staying longer than expected. In all honestly, this book was too sappy for me. If second chance romance where there is no friction between MCs your thing then I recommend this book. Now I’m off to read another Ella book to remind me why she’s one of my favorites.
Second chance romance? If you love them, this could be one for you. Ella Frank brings together a full cast of characters in this story. It's well-written and the characters pull you in.
Noah left town, not quite of his own freewill, and he stayed away until his father's funeral. His plans to make this a quick trip thwarted, and now he has to face the past he left, as well as work on the future.
This is a good story. The characters are good, I love a good second-chance romance, but this one wasn't my favorite. I normally eat up Ella Frank books like they are my last meal, but this one left me wanting, and I can't quite put my finger on why. It's good, and I think you need to pick it up still. It just wasn't for me. 3.5 stars.
I missed Ella’s writing and generally her writing f/m books. This was such a nice surprise ! I loved the small town romance , second chance! It was heartwarming and sexy like only Ella knows! Love it!
